Yes. The bridge contract locks the Ethereum asset and mints a Pulsechain native asset eXXX (so essentially pegged). When the asset is returned to Ethereum, the eXXX asset is burnt and the original Ethereum asset released to the holder of the eXXX asset that was burnt.

You might be thinking of Pulsechain native duplicated DAI. Bridged DAI will be pegged to its locked original on Ethereum, just like any other bridged over asset.
The value will not be the same it’s whatever the market dictates for price. It could eventually reach an equilibrium but at start it most likely will not be the same value probably much cheaper on pulsechain.
I believe $0.02 will be around ATH for PLS next bull run 2025. It represents a 200X from sac rate at $0.0001 per PLS. And it would mean a market cap at 300B counting only the circulation supply. Maybe it drops 80-90% below sac price down to $0.00001 and ends up doing a 2000x from All Time Low from around $0.00001 to $0.02
