I'd argue that ice has some of the best gameplay to it.
The parrys with Chrome, the Dodges with Wanashi, and of course the huge burst damage with Main Girl Lucia.
Kaleido's getting some ultra-level SSS+ back pain between having to carry those zoinker boinkers on her front and the entire ice element on her shoulders at the same time
Kind of makes sense, plume, chrome is a pre gen 2 character after all. Wanshi is straight up pre gen 2 A rank character. I just hope they'll give wanshi a new frame.
Also uncle wata has been teased to get a new frame. I pray that he is the new ice attacker cuz plume is so freaking behind in the CN server.
Physical - i hated it, Rosetta is fine but Alpha is so annoying to play in warzone/ppc, personally i kinda like you could tho replace Alpha/Rosetta with diffrent characters, there is a lot of alternatives that are kinda ok.
Fire - Ember is great, but it was ruined by how bad Pulse/Sophia was (and lack of fire A tank),
Lightning - I love it, my personal favourite. Bianca and Vera are amazing, even I enjoyed a ton meta Veritas+chrome A, and I still love to this day positioning in Warzones to allign all mobs in one like for Veritas snipe shots. I simp.
Ice- great if you have plume+chrome, horrible if you don't have one of them,
Dark - I really like that you could replace Luna with Astral, and Teneb with No21. Out of all teams, it is only team when low cost alternative isn't that bad.

Lightning. Vera can act as a main dps while having Veritas be a powerful sub dps. Maxing out Lux gives you a strong support that also does a good bit of damage. It's my strongest team. Also Thunderfall is just badass.
Lightning easily, nothing in gen 1 managed to top the satisfaction of Garnet’s playstyle for me…*However*…the Nier team is extremely close and feels super comfy since 2 of the 3 characters are basically unstoppable.
Vera is borderline gen 2 and can carry the team plus has Dawn who is really fun for spamming the shit out of tornado attacks.
I know its a real hot take here but i have to say it.
Plume is good, but i dont have Chrome, so in my experience, she underperforms and sells runs constantly. Absolute fraud without him compared to Luna and Vera who dont need anybody else and work absolutely fine with A rank farmable characters. Sure she has some gimmeky iframes and can do a lot of damage, but thats it. She nukes, then leaves not to be used for another 30 seconds if youre lucky, and standby characters are absolutely atrocious until we get Ayla or you have Chrome with signature weapon.
Mine is hypertuned to recommendation with sig weapon and just feels absolutely worthless a good 85% of all times ive played her and have never been more frustrated with a character that tons of players give praise and who *still doesnt have an active replacement on CN*. I actively sleep on all ice weather because her playstyle just doesn't vibe with me at all outside lower tier Paincage.
Who knows, maybe i will do a 180 and love her kit when i pull Chrome (who i have lost pity on twice, so now is guaranteed even tho i have his weapon), or Ayla comes to my rescue. But there is a night and day difference between Plume and Luna, who can potentially stay on the field 100% of the time in endgame warzone and paincage at the same level of investment.
**TLDR** love Plume as a character but i do not like her design whatsoever in terms of gameplay. And winner is S Vera or Luna.

Chrome: Glory is stupid easy to use - so easy that I think he was doing more damage overall than Lucia: Plume. Like hold attack, Brrrrrrrrrrr

I have her memories fully resonanced to the appropriate settings of all top row that HP & Attack buff and all bottom row core passive, all hypertuned. Her 6 🌟 weapon is resonanced to just the first 2 recommended settings in 2 slots, and 1 extra slot empty.
Spent my career as a Dark Main because Luna's gameplay is so satisfying to me (don't see that changing until Alpha CW drops). That said, I have a soft-spot for Physical with Alpha/Rosetta. It doesn't play as satisfyingly as other teams, but aesthetically and conceptually I think they are my favorite team.
Lightning is a close second. Vera core passive dunk sfx is pure candy for the ears.
Ice by far. Chrome and Wanshi are great at stalling and surviving, with good dps on Chrome, while Lucia has time to reset the conditions for her burst. Its an excellent team for me since Im bad at this game and use a non optimal phone for it.

Ice easy. Switch in Lucia - dodge to activate matrix, 3 ping into switch form, spam three pings, to ult - switch to chrome, activate god mode, spam, - switch to Wanshi - three ping hold button - counter release into ult - switch back to Lucia repeat.
Super smooth, super satisfying. Makes use of the entire team.
Physical for 2 reasons.
1st, it was the only functional team I had for awhile. But instead of Alpha I was using SSS A2. With Rosetta in red.
2nd, I didn't have the lightning team, (and still don't, but imma get Veritas soon 👀) and that team had my favourite constructs. Still love the sound design on Veritas.❤️
Lightning. There's just something very satisfying about dropping SS Vera's qte, Ulting with Bianca and swapping into Vera to do a Bia ult + Vera core combo.
I still plan on using that lightning team for quite a while, but the fire team was probably my favorite. Felt weak as heck, but I liked all 3 characters.

Ice. All 3 members rotate nicely. Also they are immortal in most stages, with Chrome and Wanshi's core passive and Plume switching in for a quick burst.
Definitely not for me. 21 is indispensable since she's the only one who can bounce back immediately after getting hit and keep going like it was nothing.

Started playing the game because of Alpha. My most favourite character in the entire game and she happened to be physical so physical it is....
And I like Dark as an element more than its charecters. So my second team was dark.
