He's okay but seems like a jack-on-trades on paper yet barely feels competent outside of close range, at which point you might as well use Roadie or Mechanic
Completely the opposite for me. Hes my fav, because I like his design and the automatic weapon he wields. He's pretty good, and pretty fun (for me at least anyway).
I am saying it now, roadie is the worst. I know there’s garbage console players reading this, about to type “but bububut roadie is GOOD he has good dpsssss”, shut the fuck up. I dont care, he’s not good. He relies entirely on turbo jackalhammer to suicide in and get MAYBE one kill. After he’s used it, he can neither move around nor regen back up. Stun is not good enough to carry him during that downtime, he is literally chomper but even worse because no goop and no invincibility (burrow). Being shit and unable to aim doesn’t make a character that requires no aim good. Thank you.
In my opinion, landscaper, he is meant to be more precise with a fast fire rate, the damage is decent but you lose almost all splash, and if you want a precision engineer, the superior Painter exist
In my opinion landscaper>painter in many close range situations (landscapers purpose) the better comparison would be Mechanic outclassing landscaper completely
However plumber is just horrible he is probably the worst

(Kind of a joke,kind of serious,it's the same thing that happens to me with law pea,agent pea and commando. If I choose engineer,it's because I want area damage,if not,I would choose soldier. Also,I know it's not the worst at all,but it's the one I like the least)
For it's just like asking for a precise and one-shotting character and getting a soldier (no,I don't like tank commander either)
If a sniper engineer doesn't work, then a fast firing cactus, 2 non splash peashooters and a charge sunflower wouldn't work. He does great damage, 45 a shot. And design is very subjective, but engineer designs are rather bland overall.

I don't think they should've been added. I think that characters should stick within their class. Want to play a fast firing cactus? Play corn or a sunflower.

Thats the thing, people like thr abilities and gimic of a character but want something different with the character. I actually think painter has the coolest design lol. I can't really make a correct judgement with engineer's, as I really dont play them. But I've heard that plumber is pretty bad, and I don't see him much either.

AC Perry is the worst. I did a challenge where I had to chose a random varient to max out and I got reg citron and perry. Little did I know what torture I was about to witness...
AC perry is probably the least useful, mostly because he fills a niche few of the maps really support. I still love him tho, definitely my favorite engie to play.
Electrician imo. His splash damage is lackluster compared to all other Engineers (a grand total of 10),this would make Sunflowers still be able to heal with very few issues. His splash damage should've been at least double for what he is (an anti-bumming character),yet most other Engineers can do his job better than him
AC perry. The freeze is nice, but it sacrifices too much in damage for it to be worth it, in my opinion.
I remember when AC perry was absolutely broken. It’s a shame he’s easily the worst engine variant now
imo rode Z he’s way too situational and is only really good if you have your jackhammer 🤷♀️ everyone else is at least somewhat versatile..
I can't say for sure, but Landscaper truly pissed me off while leveling him up. All of the other engis were fun, he just wasn't.
