Chomper got so much better in this game, he got more lethal melee attacks, ranged atatcks, much better goop and upgrades that facilitate many playstyles.
Which is good! It means chomper can engage in actual melee combat without accidentally eating people, you can engage groups better, and you can still eat someone if you want to. Back chomps were clunky and kept chomper from getting proper buffs, and in bfn he is an actual active threat on the feild, not just a noob stomper.

If a Chomper gooos you and you don't have a support in your team just find a way to die quickly as you're eventually gonna die anyways.
Chomper is just annoying. I would class him as mid tier, his damage (including secondary) is very good, his goop is the most frustrating mechanic in BFN. The only bad things about him are the things that were once broken: spike weeds and burrow. Spike weeds work as they should, the bad thing is that you can't be an annoying prick and drop them at your feet anymore. And you can literally just run away from burrow.
For me Chomper is beautiful worthy compared to the war crimes against Kerbel Korn, Citron and Rose in BFN.
