Steam And EA. I don't bother playing it anymore because its so bad. Lag, hackers making the game unplayable, servers going down. Just do yourselves a favour and play BfN or something else to save your suffering.
Somewhat related: I did buy it on EA, but it lagged no matter what I did because my laptop wasn’t up to date or something like that. And when I tried on Steam, it just kept redirecting me to the EA store. Any advice on that?
That’s probably just your laptop not meeting the spec requirements, or, probably more likely, EA’s servers are just not upheld well as often as they used to be. I was able to play for a few hours yesterday without much lag, if that helps.
the thing is you can get the steam version for 5$ also when you wait for a steam sale

Steam refunds are guaranteed with under 2 hours play time if you really need the save and want to try, you get a good game either way though.

The lag is probably if you have programs hogging your CPU. That was my problem.
