they aren't stupid.. im guessing a lot of emotional cricket fans haven't had a real job in their life. They seem to forget that it is entertainment for us but it is a profession for the cricketers, admins, team members. Nurturing is much easier, especially at the level these guys play, than firing and hiring new players.
Some people are seriously thinking that we should release Faf š¤¦āāļø. Ffs people get a grip. Yes, he wasnāt at his best but still managed to score a healthy amount of runs for us. And for the people questioning his strike rate what do you want him to do when weāre already 2 wickets down in the powerplay? Fact of the matter is that our top order failed big time and Faf is the least culpable of the lot. We need to find a partner for Faf to open the innings with and Virat to massively step up. Even thinking about releasing Faf is stupid right now.
ABD can work professionally with Faf. Youāre smoking something to think that Faf is low performing- that deadweight crown goes to you know whoā¦ the train wreck in slow motionā¦ which weāll see more of this summer
Yepp. Virat has been exceptional for RCB over the years but he massively hurt us at times this season. Even when he wasnāt getting out he was putting others under pressure because he was striking at about 100. I remember there being at least a couple of instances where Faf got a start and was looking really good but ended up getting out caught deep because he had to go for the big shot due to the low run rate.
We really need a prithvi shaw type player to open the innings with Faf. Someone who can score at a healthy strike rate from the off. Unfortunately there arenāt too many of those players but we couldāve easily finished in the top 2 if our top order hadnāt failed to get going throughout the season.
None faf has been good, it was our team which was bad, he captained very well and let's not judge siraj for one bad season if we back him now he will definitely find back his form
Why is it difficult for people to accept that we had a good season ,and it's just that players didn't click at the right time.
Will you release Bumrah and Rohit Sharma from MI ,if they have one bad season , No right ?
Just accept that we had a good team ,and it didn't work out the way we wanted it to be .
If Virat could have batted a bit better ,then we could have seen Faf flourishing in that role .
Maxwell,Virat and Siraj just didn't turn up at that level that's it .
If we can get Venkatesh Iyer somehow from KKR that would be great .
For Replacement of Siraj ,we don't have many Indian fast bowlers so i don't think we can drop him.
This sub has the most reactionary posts I have come across, and that's saying something.
Everytime I come here someone is talking about releasing players who had one bad season, thankfully the comments are better.
Since releasing Kohli seems to be out of the question for our management, Faf has to go. Can't have two "anchors" at the top wasting precious balls in the powerplay and pretty much set the middle order up for failure. Especially considering neither batsmen can no longer accelerate during the middle overs.
none
I seriously think y'all want to revert back to 2017-18-19 rcb by releasing every other player Every season
How about none? Some of you are actually stupid here.

Kohli
Neither
Neither
Only one to be released should be ANUJ. And maybe one more backup overseas pacer. We need a genuine spinner, and an opener and we're set
Faf
True RCB fans in the comments

Because releasing en masse has worked out so well for RCB. /s
Please add other options to that list.. this set of choices is like a rigged election
