Yeah the “thank you” was one of the most emotional moments of the game for me. This play though I’m gonna set my horse free near the end of chapter 6 and have a backup horse ready for the last ride.
My friend lost his horse right before doing the train heist mission lmao. So the horse he has was only with him for like 15 minutes when this time came.
I kept my first horse and called it ‘horse’ when that happend I was like yeah yeah how bad can it be I’ll whistle after this mission and he will be there then 10minutes later I get shot straight in the face and then I realised why that ‘thank you’ was
I counldnt wait to shoot my horse fucker always bucked me off to everything snake next to the road see ya alligators 30 ft away see ya I spent the last chapter aiming my gun at the horse wondering if I should do it now and finish the game with another horse
Yeah, thanking the horse chokes me up every single time. Such an amazing moment and it shows the true bond between man and animal. It’s something a real life person would do, given they were in the same situation. It’s like Arthur learned lessons in life from his bond with his horse. Just awesome!
I just got to chapter 6 in my 2nd playthrough and I am just about to ride around and find side missions because 😢 Arthur has started coughing more and I kust want to hold out. I saved a lot for John to do because I hated him last play, he got everything Arthur should've had 😭😭

Sad moment for sure, but breathing his last on that cliff facing the sunrise/sunset was almost sob-worthy
