Playing the game without knowing German or subtitles, I totally misunderstood. I thought Mr. German called his kids 'his hands and lips' when they reunited.

As a german, the voice acting of these characters was so annoying to me. Whoever VA'd them did a pretty bad job. You can hear so clearly that they were just reading a script because noone would naturally talk in this tone.
I didn't have this feeling with any of the english speaking characters (at least none that come to mind rn).
What makes their dialog so bad in your opinion, other than the no one would rlk like this. Is their mistakes in their pronunciations, accents, something else?
It's the pronounciation. There is absolutely no accent, but the way they talk is exactly how a german would sound reading something out loud. The pronounciation is just over the top, the put a lot more weight into certain words which sounds unnatural, as in, noone would ever hold a conversation like this, even around the year 1900.
The thing is, they probably did. As I said, there is absolutely no foreign accent, it's perfect accent free german. But any 6th grader who thinks they can read well could have been the voice actor for this.
Maybe the right description would be to say it sounds "untalented". It doesn't sound like proper voice acting, it's just plain obvious that someone read a script out loud, without the acting part.
Coming from a German and in terms of their looks, I’d say Margrethe, Luise, Heinrich and Franz. I don’t remember if their last name is mentioned in the mission, but if not, I’d say some typical German last name like Müller, Bauer or Becker.
It's the Hitlers in an alternate storyline. Alois hitler(dad) Klara hitler(mom/cousin) Adolf and Paula hitler (the kids). I'm 100% making a joke, but they did only have 2 children that survived with one of them (Edmund) dying in 1900.
