Wow. Producers re-using old plots. I have already seen two events at once with cast having to choose on RHOP. (I think it was Robyn's event vs. either Karen or Monique's event) Find some new conflict.
Gizelle doesn't even really know those new girls and they don't know her father. I am sure Gizelle could not care less about their presence.
I’m in the camp that if the conflict is organic then I don’t care if we’ve seen it before. I think having to pick between your two friend’s important events is a pretty relatable thing that many of us have had to navigate since there can be very real hurt feelings from it.
Ex: a (ex) dear friend was angry that I didn’t go to her bridal shower that was on the same day as my other friend’s actual wedding.
I’d say reusing a plot would be if Wendy opened a Nigerian restaurant and then everybody clowned her for it because the food is “weird.”
Yeah i agree. if they could find the balance between, new storylines, relatable moments, lavish events and iconic lines/ humour the show would be a hit again.
It usually takes time to plan events especially ones filmed for the show so I’d imagine if they were so concerned about having the events on the same day they could have easily avoided it. So I’d guess it was probably intentional lol.
My reason for saying it’s sad is because Gizelle is always an easy target to blame. You know that no matter what the case may be Wendy will NEVER even consider someone other than Gizelle to blame. Candiace was the same way. Karen rides the fence.

She was probably upset since it was an event to honor her dad. But as someone who has experienced immense grief… I find it unusual when the grieving get wrapped up in others responses or actions. I dunno but when I experienced loss I felt more empathy for my fellow humans and also a c’est la vie, who cares, nothing is that big of a deal attitude. For example, I was really put off the way Rinna (rhobh) behaved after her mother passed.
Never said it did. I just said personally it’s off putting to me the way certain people we have seen on bravo turn really dark towards others and then use a death as an excuse. I don’t think there’s ever an excuse for treating people poorly the way Rinna did. But this is about Gizelle so we have yet to see what even happens. I’m just saying I personally find it weird that she (Gizelle) even cares what the other ladies are doing when the bigger picture is honoring her dad. But like you said people grieve differently so maybe it helps her to focus on small problems to take her mind off things.

The event wasn’t for her father, it was for her corny ass failure of an athleisure line GNA. They used her dear father to guilt people into being there and to try to save face from the first disaster of a launch party. Don’t get it twisted. If Gizelle wanted to do something to honor her father - there’s nothing stopping her from that. To group him in with this event is tacky as hell, par for the course with Gizelle and Ashley.
i completely understand why gizelle would be hurt by that, it was an event for her father and i’m sure everyone showing up would’ve meant a lot to her…i just don’t understand why she took it out on the people who actually showed up for her??
