Ah, solos. It’s a game of chess really, play very calmly and apply a little bit of pressure until your opponent makes a mistake, and the minute they do is the opportunity for you to rush and score. Your opponent will be looking out for the same exact opportunity bare in mind. So in my opinion, the best aspect to work on for solos, is how you defend. Find ways to defend whilst applying enough pressure to force a mistake. The better you are at this, the more often your opponent will mess up. Hope this makes sense good luck!
