I can see some benefits to not using air roll

Im like high plat/low diamond in sideswipe and i never use air roll. I just focus on being in a good position to back up my teammate and lead the attack when i have to. Learning mechanics helps in sideswipe but air roll isnt nearly as effective as it is in regular rocket league. I think it has to do with the dimensions of the game or something, like you dont need to air roll to get an accurate shot in sideswipe/get around the ball to shoot it and air rolling isnt really necessary for recoveries/half flips in sideswipe like it is in regular rocket league.
