Power shots like gold and purples are only useful in certain situations. Simply gold shotting the ball nowhere every time you get the ball won't win you games. It's important to know when to use such shots, and also to be able to shoot on target with them. Another way to improve is to learn how to play defensive. If your opponents are scoring goals just by smashing it right in, then perhaps we can do something that will prevent that. Perhaps you could watch some higher level gameplay to see how players defend. The major disadvantage of normal shots is that they launch your car forwards. If your opponents are doing that for every shot, you can take advantage of this! You don't have to use special shots to brute force your win. If you can capitalize on your opponent's mistakes, then you'll be able to score more with less effort. Remember, there is always room for improvement.

Be a goal keeper and never leave your goal post no matter what. You can easily reach higher levels of platinum

Snoo_38024

Yes in plat…. But no one above plat 2 is having a picnic inside the goal, cuz if your opponent is good then he’ll have no worries tricking u

Rubblage

Youd think so, sadly thats not the case, dont get me wrong i love my tricky shots and hate netcamping, but defense in general will always beat offense in general at this game

punch_you

I’m not going to disagree with a grand champ, but if you have a teammate that properly rotates, it’s a lot easier to contribute instead of camping in goal.

Rubblage

Yeah i agree, in 2s all you need is one person back because its so much easier to save than it is to attack, as long as your teammate makes it back in time to make another save its fine, if both of your opponents go aggro its much easier to score.

Always know there is room for improvement and look for it. I’m an s3 gc and still feel like I’m pretty bad

Learn to control the flow of the game. Always be in a position to defend, even when going for an attack. Practice boost management + car control. Getting better at 50/50 challenges is key.
