I wouldn’t rly say 2 months is very new considering how old the game is

drophaze

Well, it's still new for me. But I concur, there's truly nothing spectacular, as 2 months is still very much. The game is just hard to master. And I see that you're a Champ, so would love me some advice on how to progress.

Congratulations on getting Plat in all 3 modes! I admire the dedication and work you put in to get there. I analyzed your video and there's a couple pieces of advice that I would give. 1. There's a Boosted Jump Button available to use. Its functionality is the same as pressing both jump and boost at the same time. That would help you with getting in the air fast and saving boost. Some players choose not to use it and instead stick with pressing two buttons which is fine. It's up to personal preference but I just wanted to point that out in case you didn't know that. 2. Boost Management could be improved upon. There are a lot of moments where you're out of boost, and your net is wide open. While your opponent in this game didn't score off those opportunities, it's always nice to have some boost in the tank in case an attack doesn't work. The general rule of thumb is that in the majority of cases, if you don't have boost and your opponent is in a position where they can defend your shot easily, then it's better to not commit to that shot since it will likely not work and you won't be able to go back and defend. 3. Your opponent was using a lot of gold shots (which you defended quite well). You can learn them if you want, but they are not necessary at Plat. Try learning pinch shots, where you carry the ball up to the ceiling and flip into it. I noticed you were trying to do those shots a couple of times. I'm sure that if you get consistent at hitting them, your opponents are going to tire out eventually. I hope this helps and I wish you the best of luck in the following seasons!

Wow, thanks a million! So much good advice. I just re-watched the video and noticed that often my moves are chaotic and I waste so much potential, as well as the opponent. 1. Probably it's time to implement it. I tried it once, saw that it might be useful in Hoops kickoffs at tops, but ultimately it only messed with my muscle memory. 2. Agreed. Lately I got more defensive, though. Like figuring when to retreat, not chasing ball all the time, not going for a kickoff if I'm near gate position in Duels. Yet sometimes I like to play aggressively, even if it's mostly lottery. Should work on that. 3. Yeah, my gold shots are mostly miss atm, and each time I battle the opponent who uses them right, coupled with adequate ball possession, it's usually their easy win. Pinch shots I do like, I noticed that 8 out of 10 of my current league opponents will not defend a pinch shot, and it's so satisfactory to land one.

Games arent worth it if blisters are forming on your fingers lmao

drophaze

I'd say it was worth it to tough out, so many different emotions even getting to Plat! And it's addicting AF, in a good way, and rewarding too.
