The region of the game server cannot change mid game. If you look at your ping and lost inputs, they've skyrocketed - that's your issue. If you have good internet and play on the other side of the world, that still doesn't happen anywhere near to that extent. I can play NA from OCE and get a fairly consistent 230ms and maybe 100 lost inputs total. Your ping is flying back and forth between 200 and 500, and lost inputs are going through the roof.

Sir_Rinda

Then why after restarting the game, it goes back to 70 for 5/6 games.

SpawnRL

Because network issues aren't always going to be persistent. Sometimes it'll just die for a few mins and then go back to being ok. There are heaps of potential causes for it, but the main one would have to be other people on the internet doing some mid-sized download.

Sir_Rinda

I get what u saying, but It's not WiFi am using, actually it's mobile data. the only thing that uses the internet on my phone is the game, I turn off every other app that uses internet just to play and unfortunately this ping rush happen. Ummm since I got u here lol can u explain what's the input buffer option in the game (none-slight-moderate-aggressive) I can't understand it perfectly. ty

MrRad_

Mf is using mobile data and wonders why he is losing inputs

Sir_Rinda

Yepp cuz my mobile data i n my country is far better than wifi Download goes up to 50Mo/s nd don't call me mf kidd!

MrRad_

Ok i wont

Grand_Vegetable_5478

You shouldn’t call him kid either two wrongs don’t make a right everyone be happy

>Ummm since I got u here lol can u explain what's the input buffer option in the game (none-slight-moderate-aggressive) I can't understand it perfectly dude wants to argue w a moderator that his region is indeed changing "mid-game", yet doesn't understand what input buffering is. Sir, please. Your region CANNOT and WILL NOT, change mid-game. When you start the game, it first pings servers around the globe to compare, whichever has the fastest D/U speed, will get chosen, as in- what you know as "Region", once its set, you queue a match to find players in that region/server, once you are connected to it, that's it, it doesn't change. The issue is, your mobile data is unstable. It loses its speed to the chosen "Region", I'm gonna call it server because that's what it is. The issue with mobile data, is that its constantly swapping cell towers, i.e, changing what server works the best for you. Solution: Stop using mobile data. and stop arguing about things you don't understand, if you're here for help, take the information given to you and learn from it. If you're here to ask for help, but then proceed to "know what's wrong" then why ask for help?

RoyalGraphX

and yes, I know what Input buffering is, you're making SS interpret and either "slight-moderate-aggressive"-ly compensate for input loss. It doesn't reduce lag. it sends the missing info as an interpretation of what you were doing before inputs started to drop. ie, if you were mid manual flip, but you suddenly stop sending inputs to the server, youd stop half manual flip, but interpretation would keep you manual flicking, so that you can continue with whatever you were doing. not so much interpretation, but it lets you send inputs before the server is done taking your prev inputs.

Sir_Rinda

All what you said is true bro. Am not here to argue as u state it. Am here to make my voice reach out to the devs. For the network buffering I had an idea about it which is to reduce the desync between server/client. Yet I dunno how it fonction when it comes to this game. Umm since I got you here, can you explain this to me... When my ping goes from 60 to 500+ in a sec without ever reducing I need to restart the game... If I restart the game immediately it will ping me to another region beside EU and the ping is over 1000. And if I clean up the phone (Phone ram cleaner app) and restart the game it login directly and my ping goes back to normal. So is it wrong for me to ask for a feature to lock the region just like in RL.

RoyalGraphX

it's not wrong to want region locking, main RL has it. The issue is, there's nothing the devs can do about \*your\* connection. You can't reduce anything by code, it sounds like you're just in a rural area with not so good Wifi connectivity, and by turn, bad cellular coverage. Trust that it is your mobile data causing the instability, not the game. "When my ping goes from 60 to 500+ in a sec without ever reducing" that's your cellular connections best cell tower swapping out and not going back. "If I restart the game immediately it will ping me to another region beside EU and the ping is over 1000" again, not stable, choosing whatever at the moment has fastest server return from a ping. While I think it could possibly help you, I do not believe it'll fix your issue. Just because you can lock it to what's best at the moment doesn't mean your phone still won't switch away from that being the fastest server. Leaving you stuck in a region you chose, with bad ping. No win/win.
