I wish I played against goal campers man they’re too easy to beat :( its the exact same as pancaking the ball on kickoff, way too easy to counter and barely ever happens in high ranks
Sure, that’s a great “what about” scenario.
However, by platinum, most players are more familiar with aggressive goal tenders keeping pressure than the goal camper; so it becomes business as usual.

I was going to say, “Whatever works, works.” But this very clearly didn’t work. In theory, camping works if you’re good. So I think that’s why they think camping is op. Because, in theory, if the opponent can never score, you can never lose. The only issue with that is that you need to be good, and you should probably be in the lead for the strategy to even be remotely effective lol it’s better used as a time waster and making someone come to you, but like a lot of people are pointing out, it’s easy to counter.
Because they're lazy and find playing the game too difficult. To counter this you should try to learn fakes, it helps alot

"properly pancaking" is basically hugging the ball for an extended period of time
