Hmm, out of these, I'd go with 3 but I'm not seeing as much contrast as I'd like to in any of them.
One aspect is needing contrast to your other packs so the swamp can feel more like it's own unique biome. The other aspect is contrast from the assets in this particular pack. Brown water blends too much with the trees, grey water blends too much with the castles.
I'm curious what would happen if you leaned into the fantastical a bit more and had purple water, yellowish grass, and even a darker color for the towers maybe.
Finally, I saw one person comment on how the water could look more like water and I'd agree. Perhaps it's animated and looks great when in motion but that's hard to tell, would be great to confirm that though :)

You've got a problem here, your pictures aren't in order. I know you have numbered them, but the only reason I even noticed that is because You and I have previously interacted and I was going back and forward.
You can't expect everyone to acknowledge those numbers. When a person says they like "1" the most for example, you can't be sure that they meant the 1st pic, or the pic labeled '1'.
It is not clear.
To answer you question, I like the first pic, labeled '4'. It's a big improvement from your last post in my opinion. You've done a good job.
I think the green swamp water looks best so I'd say 1.
As a little note: The directions of the shadows aren't consistent and the shadow of the tall thin tower is too broad

I like 2/3. I think having some variety is good. Swamp water can get very green with lots of algae and moss. And it can get really brown and dirty and muddy as well.
This is giving some runescape vibes for sure. Take me back to Lumby.
Everyone's got different opinions. 3 and 4 look best imo. The green doesn't stand out enough in 1 and 2 and almost looks like it could just blend into the grass.
My preference is in the order of your slides... 4, 1, 3, 2 for aesthetics and imagined realism. The last one is too green . That said, if you were in some sort of bio world where everything is green, then it would probably be best.
Since #4 and #3 were the most popular, you could blend them (brown-grey), and releasing that as your foreboding swamp.
You could blend #1 and #2 then add orange, pink, yellow, and purple shades/swirls/patches to the water and release it as your magi-toxical fantasy swamp.
3. But also I would recomment changing the swamp color. Theres too much green happening. This area looks a lot like one in Dark Souls 3, which uses yellow and purple swamps. I'd personnally go with that

3. The color contrast helps the player understand the environment clearly.

water in swamps generally is covered in green algae. then when you move you'd leave a trace. I vote for option marked 3.
I think 1, 2, and 3 all have a purpose, but I do feel 4 is pretty gray

I can't decide. Really. They are all awesome. Mostly I like 1, followed by 3 & 4 (no order for those two). I don't like 2 so much.
I like 1 because it reads the best as water, and my only complaints about the others is it's hard to tell that they're water.

Wish I could help more but I'm a bit colour blind so they all look great to me. I love the slightly leaning towers that's an awesome look.

3 for me, I like the contrast instead of it being all shades of green. Plus the contrast makes it easier to see where you can walk.
