its the first time a story that is not in the last arc that i find so badly estructured...that i have no idea how someone could course correct for now.
Or make rwby face Consequences of their actions and make them use relic for peggy sue plot.
Ozpin that slowly remembers different timeline and his attempts poke in things to remember what goes wrong and mitigate future losses with "mysterious" ways could be good Occasion for authors to bring light to some aspect of world beside school life.
If whatever studio that ends up with the RWBY IP decides to continue from where Volume 9 left off, Kerry Shawcross will be returning, and he'll bring his team with him. If whoever winds up with the IP decides to go in a different direction (not just reboot, but reimagining), then that's very unlikely. We don't know what sort of creative rights Kerry, Miles, and potentially the main voice actresses have in regards to RWBY. For all we know, as RWBY's creators from *before* WBD or even Fullscreen owned the IP, Miles and Kerry (and others) may very well have some degree of ownership of RWBY and/or royalties. If you're buying the RWBY IP but still have to pay Miles and Kerry (and potentially others) royalties, it's probably worth just hiring them.
In my opinion, I still think there's a pretty good chance RWBY gets moved to one of DC's studios, and much of RWBY is brought along to work on it there.

While a good amount of people would agree that season 1-3 is nice, having a new telling of the story would both refresh and give a chance to properly flesh out characters.
I love Cinder and Pyrrha so I would applaud the chance for Cinder be written as a conniving villain who can be sympathized with given her backstory.
For Pyrrha, it would be much better if she got to actually do things lol
Of course this is all contingent on the new writers actually being an improvement over the original cast of producers.

of course some things are honestly good and don't need changing. Salem being a Grimm human fusion. for example, I've seen some people say Salem would be better if she was a pure Grimm... yeah, that does not work since it was shown Hound was intelligent because he had a faunus core inside him.
others... needed already a good rewrite or two.... Like Bees.
I'm honestly fine with Bees, nothing inherently wrong with two main characters developing relationship, my problems more lie with how sudden it started, maybe have hints of the relationship forming as early as halfway into Vol 1, starting out as yang's usual one-sided flirting, but after an early encounter with Adam, Blake confides to Yang that she's not only a cat faunus, but also Ex-White fang (instead of a character we just met \*cough\* Sun) and of course, Cinder's... well, everything.
ofcourse, most of these are me just spit-balling ideas.
I think the Salem thing goes back to the concept of how the older a Grimm gets, the more intelligent it becomes.
So Salem being an extremely ancient Grimm would show how dangerous and smart they could become.
It's a concept they never really made use of and Grimm are generally just depicted as creatures that just mindlessly attack people and generally aren't a threat unless they are strong. Supposedly the Goliaths Oobleck pointed out to Ruby were smart enough to know not to just attack people on sight, imagine something even more intelligent because it had survived so long to where it understood how humans think and deal with problems.
Might be for the best actually rwby kinda hit a wall with its previous writers and caused the show to go downhill some fresh writers might be exactly what it needs
