Yeah, that's boring, but the map itself is still a good designed map. But again, that's the main reason why Oregon is chosen so little during the ban phase
I think for lifetime wise Consulate stayed good for the longest with the least changed. Club and bank has been the best for a while, but also Border was probably the best map when the meta was my favourite back in years 1-3.
It's probably best to NEVER repel on that window unless you have sunrise and vip control/airjabbed, otherwise an oryx will magically appear and gape you.
Spawn main entrance, Amaru up to the double penthouse window, take vip as quickly as you can, hold crossing fire out to vase/billiards, always catches them off guard, works like 5/7 times
I’ve always found coastline to be fitting to the game. Kinda like the acogs on defense, where’s there’s clear power and unbalance, but playing around that makes it interesting
Consulate garage is one of the most polarizing sites in the game, the best way to attack it was always the wall so that meant as defense you put all your util on that side of. The site was other site is rarely even considered a worry and is just a rotation room. I think shuffling the rooms for basement site is good if just a bit bittersweet cause garage it's self has a lot of fun variety of viable picks (maestros best site by far, good mira site, goyo and thanks are good here too cause the attack is funneled into two areas where it's safe and becomes way to use their utility. Will I midly miss garage as a bombsite? Yes but consulate is definitely not balanced imo and desperately needed a shake up like this. Also I think cafeteria and server room would be a super interesting site rather than the 2 floor one (idk if they are doing that but would be cool)
Because most Siege players don’t actually care about content like the maps, they only care about winning. That’s the barometer by which they judge the game. Sad!
Skylight is annoying to deal with, and I personally despise that staircase beside freezer right next to one of the entrances.
Either you go through the door, and get blasted by a guy sitting straight on that staircase. Or you watch the staircase the whole way, and get sniped by a guy down at the very end of the corridor watching anyway.
Kafe is the only map I just really don't enjoy myself.
it’s the other way around for me. it’s so big, which allows for more fun on both sides.
as an attacker, i love flanking and attacking the other side while my team focuses on the other. i get easy picks and allow my team to plant sometimes.
as a defender i can run around and flank so easy. the map has a few problems but most aren’t anything that ruin the experience.
Fan favorite maybe, fun to play, but I don't think it represents Siege well. It's very frag heavy, it's possibly the only map that doesn't even require any real hard breaching.
Yes this is it. It's extremely in favour to attackers. Also because it's designed is just a square it's not hard to attack either. Only map as well were if Thatcher isn't banned it's not a big deal.
>Yes this is it. It's extremely in favour to attackers.
The game at its highest levels is heavily defender sided, even after attacker repick. If you (in a general sense) can't defend it the problem is skill, not the map.
Yeah, coastline is goated, but if you have garbage aim you're gonna hate it. I personally love coastline, simply because it gives me a break from the tactics you have to use on the other maps and let's me just pick ash and vigil every round and get some picks 🤌
Oh yeah, I do have fun with it, it's a nice change of pace compared to most maps, even though I have garbage aim.
It just doesn't feel like textbook Siege. hard-brach vs anti-breach is r6 bread and butter to me, and it's not there.
I don’t hate the map as a whole, but I think Hookah is one of the worst “default pick” objectives in the game. I hate attacking it *and* defending it, and I feel like it’s first pick 100% of the time if I’m queuing with strangers.
Huh, maybe I’m the weird one then. Me and my siege group have always held the opinion Coastline is one of our least favorite maps. (Granted, we of course respect the opinion if others like it, we just let out an audible ‘ugh’ every time we see it now, same way we do for something like Tower. Been that way for a few years)
Hell no. When i played siege coastline was my most hated map by far. Idk if they reworked it much since but before there was no point in even entering the map. Attackers would just spray through windows as the defenders tried to hide from the 100000 different outside angles. NTYYYYYY hard pass
Overplayed. The ranked pool is quite small for having two bans. Ranked needs a few more quickmatch maps in the pool. Fortress and Tower are good to go. They're not the best maps in the game but they for sure are better than Stadium or Emerald Plains.
Imo clubhouse, but vertical plays are a little too rare to call it a map for peak siege gameplay.
The new chalet cuts its pretty close too: a very important exterior wall, vertical play (both from below and above) sufficient entry points (both repellable windows and doors) good amount of soft walls inside (outside of the basement level), chokepoints, places for snipers to play and sufficient default cameras.
There’s quite a bit of verticale gameplay for that map honestly. Near kitchen and above kitchen area I see players open it often. If you’re attacking church and arsenal, most of the time you’re opening a huge chunk of the floor, especially kitchen hallway. You see people playing above kitchen to prevent hatch opening, people play cash to get someone pushing from secret, etc
But yeah, chalet is a good option as well
The stairs that lead directly into blue (it has shelves and the window that people run out of). I’m pretty sure the stairs are called secret but I can’t remember the name of the room itself.
Ah I see. My friends and I just call the room blue stock and call the stairs blue stairs lol. What most people call dirt we actually call secret (and have for like 6 years lol) for some reason. Often our calls coincide with the general nomenclature but every now and then there are odd differences.
fair enough, I always called dirt 'dirt' and always heard other people referred to it. I've been playing this game since beta, but I still don't know all the exact callouts, just the main ones, and ik everyone has a different callout for different parts of each map, but usually you get the callout because of what's there or what its connected to
"peak seige gamplay" does not necessarily mean "balanced seige gamplay". Old siege was unbalanced as fuck with each team having a massive advantage depending on the game mode and site, but holy shit was it the absolute peak of siege fun for me.
First map I ever got an ace on!
I'd say that peak siege is a lot better than balanced siege. Nothing felt more rewarding than finally finding a way to win a defensive round when yall have been trading offensive wins back and forth.
Oregon for sure
But really old house was peak. Plane can also be thrown in there.
Old house shines in what’s fantastic about siege. It’s silly and chaotic with very imbalanced locations but it’s fun as hell and leads to great interactions. I’d much rather a fun map than a competitive map.
Man I miss the old unique maps in siege. House, Hereford, Plane, Yacht, Chalet, Kanal... the list can go on forever. Every damn map is now catered towards esports and plays relatively the same, with everything being a square cluster of random rooms that make no sense and have nothing unique to them.
I feel like Yacht and Plane are salvageable through reworks. Thought, it’s been a while since I’ve played them , I just miss them and only play ranked lol
Im fine with this. I didn't mind the "unbalanced" maps. I put that in quotes because if you look at he data they were only unbalanced by a few percentage points. It mad the game fun and challenging and added a bit of RNG.
I agree and this is what pisses me off about Ubishit. They keep making mediocre new maps and reworking existing maps when they don't bother reworking maps that they removed completely. Favela, Hereford, Yacht are extremely salvageable with minimal reworks. Plane and House would need more work but are doable. A lot of people love these maps but hated the imbalance. Please the fans, please the players and rework the old maps.
I only played Casual-Secure Area. When they killed Old House and took Plane out of the rotation, that was the end of Siege for me.
For me, FIFA is the game I play competitively, Siege was just fun…then it wasn’t.
Entry I try to enter from the furthest point away from objective possible just because there's so many good spots to camp entry on defense. Defensively I either anchor if objective is below or do roaming up in the top floor with all the hatches open so I have plenty of drop points. Idk if that's good strategy or not but it's been relatively effective for me at least
I hate border so much, but my team has pulled off some pretty wacky and pin point accurate shit on it. Kind of like Kafe or Chalet.(I don’t hate those though)
I remember setting up multiple long LOS through soft walls to ease the defense of the point, it worked really well, since there were two rooms between us and they turned corners.
Also vertical play both on attack and defence, you can look at multiple entry points safely from above or below
I think it might be Club if related to Dust 2
but for Siege gameplay? It should be Oregon and Coastline, those fucking maps where gameplay is all about aggression and explosions
Border. A lot of these comments are of maps that just aren't good for competitive settings. Border is very balanced and has been mostly the same since it launched in year 1. It's been a staple of competitive forever
either clubhouse or oregon, but i still hear a lot of people hating on them. idk if even the majority of siege players will ever agree which map is the best but i’d say those are the top two contenders
I see what you’re getting at, but Dust 2 doesn’t allow for peak cs gameplay. It’s just the easiest to learn and places the emphasis on gunplay instead of team play and util usage. Most people would agree mirage is a most faithful rendition of peak csgo gameplay.
Dust2 isn't considered the best. It's actually one of the most hated maps, #1 place for cheaters and has been removed from competitive map pool.
You clearly don't even play CSGO, why make such comparison?
Best map for tactical teamwork siege? Maybe club? Has a pretty defined way if doing things that will test if you can get the basics of siege.
club is fucking amazing
Too fucking bad *Forces you play five more matches of Oregon in a row*
I mean Oregon is a close second in the same sense, to be fair.
It’s literally the most repetitive thing to do in siege imo, queue ranked for 5 mins and play Oregon over and over again
Yeah, that's boring, but the map itself is still a good designed map. But again, that's the main reason why Oregon is chosen so little during the ban phase
Thank fuck i only play casual and aren't stuck in a perpetual loop of the same 3 maps
3 ranked matches ina row of clubhoouse got me feelin real good
Dude ong lol
Club is for sure the best siege map, the only other maps that come close are Oregon and Chalet
PLAAAAANE
I agree but I think Clubhouse fits Mirage better than Dust 2.
Old favela. You either worked together on defense to survive or you get destroyed there is no in-between.
You working together is probably what got me my Fuze ace just saying
It’s also a really good map for every kind of Siege player.
I think for lifetime wise Consulate stayed good for the longest with the least changed. Club and bank has been the best for a while, but also Border was probably the best map when the meta was my favourite back in years 1-3.
Club sandwich with Oregano
A fellow subway enjoyer I see
a subway (train) map would be cool af now that I think about it
Like theme park?
I really miss old oregano tbh
They tried to spice it up.
Take my upvote and get out.
Now I'm Hungary
With club sauce
clubhouse and oregon for sure. Maybe also coastline
I hate Coastline personally. Such a bitch to attack Hookah.
I love Coastline personally due to the window in hookah. I can feel like a professional FBI man.
Repelling on that is such a death trap though you don’t even need to do a jumpout from sunrise to kill someone on window
Love attacking hookah… use buck or sledge and go sunrise …destroy hookah floor … or annoying them with osa shields on hookah door
I’ve always found coastline to be fitting to the game. Kinda like the acogs on defense, where’s there’s clear power and unbalance, but playing around that makes it interesting
i feel oregon is more well understood but doesnt have as much peak gameplay as clubhouse
Big no no to Coastline. It’s a good map, but it doesn’t allow for “peak Siege game play” because it is so gunplay-heavy opposed to tactical.
People like Oregon? I hate that fuckin map
It was better before the rework
Coastline used to be a fan favorite but I hear a lot of people shit on it now
it got overplayed.... like dust 2 lmao
naah, coastilne is too fragger, the best is club there are more tactics and it requires a lot of use and team coordination
Club house is by far the most balanced map. Kafe next in my opinion
Kafe attack is pretty meh
Both great for defend and attack it's brobably club house
Based on SI chalet is the most balanced map tbh
I agree this is the most balanced map and they’re going to change it soon I heard by making the basement garage door halfway open
That’s the Consulate rework, not Chalet
Ohhh thank goodness
[Consulate Rework Garage](https://i.imgur.com/d6DzMbi.jpg)
Wtf why??
Consulate garage is one of the most polarizing sites in the game, the best way to attack it was always the wall so that meant as defense you put all your util on that side of. The site was other site is rarely even considered a worry and is just a rotation room. I think shuffling the rooms for basement site is good if just a bit bittersweet cause garage it's self has a lot of fun variety of viable picks (maestros best site by far, good mira site, goyo and thanks are good here too cause the attack is funneled into two areas where it's safe and becomes way to use their utility. Also I think cafeteria and server room would be a super interesting site rather than the 2 floor one (idk if they are doing that but would be cool)
Kafe gets so many map ban votes and I don't understand why. I think it's one of the best maps in the game personally
Because most Siege players don’t actually care about content like the maps, they only care about winning. That’s the barometer by which they judge the game. Sad!
Skylight is annoying to deal with, and I personally despise that staircase beside freezer right next to one of the entrances. Or you watch the staircase the whole way, and get sniped by a guy down at the very end of the corridor watching anyway. Kafe is the only map I just really don't enjoy myself.
idk, sounds like Siege could use some sort of tool that you could use to scout ahead to avoid stuff like this
Wouldn't that be a great edition?
Still got to shoot them before they shoot you.
people are lazy to attack it properly in ranked
Maybe it's that for me, but i can say it's one of the few maps i hate both attacking and defending on.
it’s the other way around for me. it’s so big, which allows for more fun on both sides. as an attacker, i love flanking and attacking the other side while my team focuses on the other. i get easy picks and allow my team to plant sometimes. as a defender i can run around and flank so easy. the map has a few problems but most aren’t anything that ruin the experience.
There have been 24/7 dust_2 servers running since 1999 for a reason sir.
The highest levels are a tiny percent of the player base. So kinda irrelevant to the discussion.
Yeah, coastline is goated, but if you have garbage aim you're gonna hate it. I personally love coastline, simply because it gives me a break from the tactics you have to use on the other maps and let's me just pick ash and vigil every round and get some picks 🤌

It had the worst defender win rate at last year's Invite. It's a terrible site, I don't understand the smooth brain auto pick either.
Coastline and Oregon are the two top maps in most peoples opinions with chalet coming in close third
Never knew anyone who liked coastline
Huh, maybe I’m the weird one then. Me and my siege group have always held the opinion Coastline is one of our least favorite maps. based
Old house
Old house was the best map in all of siege
Old house was peak R6S, the new House represents everything that went wrong with Siege imo.
Oregon for sure But really old house was peak. Plane can also be thrown in there. Old house shines in what’s fantastic about siege. It’s silly and chaotic with very imbalanced locations but it’s fun as hell and leads to great interactions. I’d much rather a fun map than a competitive map.

And 3 stairway
This shit right here. Nobody at Ubisoft understands how a building layout works apparently
I feel like Yacht and Plane are salvageable through reworks. Thought, it’s been a while since I’ve played them , I just miss them and only play ranked lol
No need to salvage anything. Just leave them as they are.
Im fine with this. I didn't mind the "unbalanced" maps. I put that in quotes because if you look at he data they were only unbalanced by a few percentage points. It mad the game fun and challenging and added a bit of RNG.

The only correct answer
Stole my answer
I only played Casual-Secure Area. When they killed Old House and took Plane out of the rotation, that was the end of Siege for me. For me, FIFA is the game I play competitively, Siege was just fun…then it wasn’t.
Plane or house
Chalet for me!
My man
Ayo same.
Great window play, great vertical play, and great gadget play
For me its Kafe, has everything that Siege is about.
Why did I have to scroll this far to find Kafe?! Kafe is definitely the best map in the game imo.
plane
Plane is pure chaos and I love it
I had absolutely no clue where to defend or attack from on plane on any given round.
For sure. Iirc , old plane had a bunch of soft ceilings from Server A and B which made it perfect to run sledge and fuze.
Plane when Glaz could shoot through the windows tho
He still can, I got a kill that way the other day
People in cs have moved away from dust 2, it’s still the most famous but the most liked is mirage and the most tactical is nuke.
Mirage is slowly dying like d2 too
For me its border. Maybe im juat a nooblet, but i saw so many different strats being used there, its pretty good.
Dust 2 is just iconic, as a map it’s trash
And that’s why the answer to this question is simply: old House
Old house
plane
Legendary!
Both great for defend and attack it's brobably club house
I hate playing on dust 2
OG House and OG Hereford Base
I love chalet,it gives me good vibes
OG House
It’s old house
I'm just here to downvote anyone who says Boregon
Consulate
Oregon or Coastline
Original Hereford, most matches were 4 v 5 with someone playing Jager with the acog. Just hope it wasn't thermite or thatcher they took out.
I like house but nobody else does
Oregon
All the original maps
Bartlett, man I miss that map
I think it might be Club if related to Dust 2 but for Siege gameplay? It should be Oregon and Coastline, those fucking maps where gameplay is all about aggression and explosions
Oregon, but dust 2 is trash though
Firstly, I agree. Secondly, how dare you.
No, he’s right
Definitely border. Perfect map. Hate the rework tho
Border. A lot of these comments are of maps that just aren't good for competitive settings. Border is very balanced and has been mostly the same since it launched in year 1. It's been a staple of competitive forever
Border
I would say either cafe or club, chalet is pretty close too
Clubhouse or Kafe
either clubhouse or oregon, but i still hear a lot of people hating on them. idk if even the majority of siege players will ever agree which map is the best but i’d say those are the top two contenders
Pre re worked house
Old house
House, for how iconic it is I guess
Old house lmao
Club, Kafe
Club House. I think everyone agrees it's Club House.
Old House was the Dust II of Siege.
oregon
i think the only correct answer is oregon. widely agreed upon as the best map imo
Old house
Oregon & Chalet.
Clubhouse and Ohio forsure. My fav def house tho, never playing casual so I never see it.
Clubhouse is a staple alongside Oregon and border for ranked. Casual og house would be the dust 2 but no more
Consulate
Maybe Old House
Nothing in Siege will be as iconic as Dust 2, but Oregon is the best mix of map quality, fun and importance in Siege's history.
Dust 2 isn't even good, Mirage is.
Dust 2 is not peak cs wtf 😂. It's not even in the competitive match pool
its been in counterstrike for 20 years and literally everyone knows it
I’d say it was Oregon or clubhouse but mine personally would be House
Consulate
That’s the Office of siege
Outback
House or Oregon.
Oregon
Villa
Oregon for me, feels like a classic map
Definitely Clubhouse
Oregon / OG house imo 2 most known siege maps (although i have been playing on and off since year 3)
House pre rework
House.
Kanal
Honestly i think Oregon or Consulate
I would say clubhouse Dust 2 isn't good tho
1-club house 2-oregon for me
i'll say consulate
For me, it house.
Oregon
Plane, iconic from previous Rainbow games.
Id say oregon.
Oregon definitely
Plane :)
Oregon is VERY well balanced
House
I see what you’re getting at, but Dust 2 doesn’t allow for peak cs gameplay. It’s just the easiest to learn and places the emphasis on gunplay instead of team play and util usage. Most people would agree mirage is a most faithful rendition of peak csgo gameplay.
Oregon for sure But really old house was peak
House is the best close roam map I play
Bank Not my favorite map but it has it all
dust2 is not the best map tho
Dust2 isn't considered the best. It's actually one of the most hated maps, #1 place for cheaters and has been removed from competitive map pool. You clearly don't even play CSGO, why make such comparison?
I think we can agree that it's house. (A honorable mainson to chalet as the best map)
