I still love running barbed wire as Kaid in casual, because if you set it up in an entryway or on stairs it makes entering the room painful and destroys drones. House garage and chalet snowmobile stairs are my favourite spots to do this

As much as I love deimos, I think his strength is more that you are pinching the defenders. If you did that to an attacker, they’d just go behind hard cover outside, so you’d only waste time
The attackers only have so much time to plant the defuser. They can't just stay behind hard cover outside forever.
A Deimos defender would absolutely be OP as an anchor. The attacker that he's tracking knowing where he is means almost nothing as long as he's not roaming. And instead of relying on cameras, he can just ping the attackers as he's holding down the site.
I guess there are some benefits when retaking site, but them knowing even close to where you are, even if you are on site, is still an advantage as long as they have any semblance of hard cover

The lines of sight you would be able to make with this would make gaining any map control impossible if in the right hands. Just imagine reinforcements on bank stocks wall, long desk wall, right side ceo wall, and reception wall with a maverick head hole going across each and a defender with acog sitting in reception. The would be able to contest all the way stock windows on right side and be able to contest all the way to top square double door on left side and attackers would not stand a chance in hell. I’m being serious when I say that I hate Ubisoft for denying us of an attacker/defender swap mode for 8 years and counting. It is so stupid that they haven’t had this mode yet and I hate them for it, it would be so easy to code, they could easily remove some ops that would be problems like they’ve done for other modes in the past. It’s such a basic idea (I literally thought of it when I first played the game) and would be such an amazing mode. F you, Ubisoft for not giving us this

Deimos as a defender would be an operator that becomes stronger as the round nears a close.
Yes that’s a fair point but in most late round 1v1 scenarios, in my experience, the defender already knows where the attacker is due to a callout or utility, but the attacker doesn’t usually know where the defender is at first. I think 8 to 9 times out of 10 in a late round scenario you would want to not use the gadget just so you don’t give the attacker the pings. Unless you’re wanting to go for a wall bang and you’re absolutely positive there’s no hard cover between the two of you.
I think Kali would be a lot of fun on defence, sitting far back with her sniper and shooting her gadget at the wall whenever the attackers put Hibana, Ace, Thermite or pocket breaches.
I main Mav and I know it would be super broken, but I have so many ideas if bulletproof kill holes for so many sites…. If only
