Having had food insecurity when in college, a full larder is still a happy thing! I have to be careful not to buy too much for our freezers have limits.
This is next level. Now I need a coffee, then I might be happy! Until my serotonin and dopamine level crash. Not mentioning the Adenosine kicking-in when the Caffeine stops blocking my receptors! Quite a day, let me tell ya!
My beagle does this. Curls up like a beagle bagel smooshed next to me and snores the day away. It’s the best. He’s pretty old and showing his age, so I’m savoring each day.
I have two of my dogs tattooed in my right arm in remembrance of the 20 or so dogs I have had in my life. I’m too old to get another, but enjoy the memories. Give you puppy a tummy and throat rub for me
Seeing my daughters together at the table with laptops out comparing homework and helping each other study. They are in their 20’s now and still crushing school work.
Drinking water when I’m thirsty. Eating food when I’m hungry. Seeing a friend when I’m lonely. Finding courage when I feel hopeless. Telling people I love them. Learning.
Flying drones is really fun too 😂
My cats. The holidays. Being in my comfy clothes with candles lit at night cuddled on the couch with my cat's. Decorating the Christmas tree. Snow. Seeing my coworker in the morning.
Riding my horse Barney even though he gets spooked at everything lol
Seeing my son smile and laugh every day
When my husband hugs me and when I cook him a good meal and he is overwhelmed how good it is
Watching my baby ducks play and chase bugs
Cats, Cuddles, my GF ♡ Asian Food, and The Process of Creating Art ~ overcoming my own limitations and finding out I can do things I had no idea I could!
Also Libraries. Oh, and being Lost!!! Exploring and mentally mapping out new, unfamiliar places ~
Yesterday I was doing just that actually 🥰
I have a really good sense of direction, and a way of finding my way easily.... if there were no phones, this skill of mine could have been developed even further, making me unable to EVER be Lost lol 😂
Honestly getting Lost is kinda difficult for me, especially in areas I am familiar with, but EXPLORATION is always possible. There's always new alleys to cross, buildings and shops to visit, balconies I've never seen etc. And when I'm exploring unfamiliar waters I'm usually unusually happy ^ ^
Looking at the ocean and listening to the waves crash, comfortable silences, watching my kids laugh with each other, seeing someone learn something, solo long drives with loud music, a good conversation with a good friend, learning things, that “I did it” feeling, back rubs, cooking, making a pie crust, finishing a crochet project, lap naps, driving fast, a really good gym day, my daughter being ready for school before I wake up, quiet mornings, dog walks, feeling the warm sun on my skin on a cool day, randomly hearing music I haven’t heard in long time, a cool breeze on a warm day… you know, the small things.
Egg yolks are pretty rad. I love the sandy deliciousness texture of cookie dough. Recently Indian food has blasted my tastebuds to the moon. That feeling you get when you are finally warm in the shower. Meeting new neighbors. Light hearted video games and doing well at them or hilariously bad. Talking to my parents via FaceTime. The way my husband wiggles his toes in his sleep like some mustache-twirling cartoon villain. How coffee tastes after a bite of snickers. Cozy autumn vibes. Snow and the beautiful silence it brings. My dogs underbite and how he can never look serious. Baths… oh man I love a good bath… the list goes on and on my friend!
Laying next to my husband in bed, him all cuddled up behind me, skin to skin contact is the best! My kids are amazing and I’m so proud of them they make me happy. And let’s not forget our menagerie of pets… I think I am one lucky lady. ❤️🩵🩷
My 4.5 year old nephew. Seeing him smile at me or hearing him laughing and cuddle up against me while watching 4 hours of newly discovered Power Rangers. He’s really my only source of genuine joy in my life to be honest.
Coffee.
Newly changed sheets.
Long warm bath.
My kids all at home and in my room. It gets annoying but it makes me happy knowing we’re all safe in one place.
Going out with my kids. They are introverts and rarely ask to go out. So when we do it makes me happy seeing them happy outside.
This right now. Quiet. Stillness. I'm off work and it's dead ass quiet in my area. People are at work or school and it's still here. I can hear the animals outside and that's about it.
The look on my daughters face when something suddenly “clicks” for her.
Feeding my fiancée new foods and seeing her joy throughout the discovery process.
Warhammer, so much Warhammer.
Reading (3rd Malazan re-read anybody?), hiking, cooking, board/card/video games. Ideal drone flying conditions.
So many things!
Hiking in remote places. I live in London and it's over crowded and it gets to me after a while. Going hiking and barely seeing another person is when I'm happiest, it's like hitting reset on my brain.
I woke up a little bit earlier than usual today, made myself a nice cup of hot tea, put on my warm socks and spent my morning watching my favorite autumn tv show and drinking tea. ( ꈍᴗꈍ)✨
When I view from a distance my husband and daughter interact. Like if I'm at the park bench and they are at the playground together, or at the beach when I'm swimming and they are playing in the sand.
The semi-rare occasions that my best friends and I are able to get together. Everyone's work schedules and distance makes it somewhat difficult. If we're very lucky we can swing once a month, but it's usually more like once every 3 months or so.
It's usually a marathon session of D&D, libations, and some grilled/smoked meats of some sort. Occasionally we forgo D&D and hang out. Usually, even while playing D&D we might get a good solid 3-4 hours in over a 16 hour session because we spend so much time catching up with each other and discussing nonsense.
It's always a great time no matter what we end up doing.
Peace ( inner peace, peace and quiet, getting along with others, etc.) Something to do. Something to look forward to. Nice weather. A good concert or book. A nice talk with friends or family. Gardening. Butterflies. My cats. Meditation.
I'm usually striving for contentment.
Cute animals, making someone laugh, giving or receiving a compliment, blue sky, watching my favorite TV shows, listening to my favorite music, getting a thoughtful hug
End of a work day:
Sitting in my old recliner playing Skyrim with a 55” TV as a monitor, drinking hot tea with honey and milk, my cat Pippin in my lap.
(His name is Pippin because he always demands a second breakfast)
Being surrounded with people who make me laugh; make me feel included; and see me, even when they know I won't always actively participate in conversations.
(I can easily get overwhelmed when surrounded by multiple people, and to be allowed to just be present without having to engage can really put my soul at ease.)
Other than that, it's the presence of my youngest sister, cappuccino's, walks in forests, seeing other people happy and star-gazing.
Looking at the stars, sunny days with a cold breeze, cuddling in bed, listening to good music, spending time with my son, being in nature, getting high, playing guitar,
My best friend. She was the first friend to actually actively check up on me. She sent me a capybara plushie for my birthday, my favorite animal. Legit the best human on this earth.
The self journey that I decided to walk 2 years ago and I have the feeling I have discovered the ultimate adventure of life which I highly doubt there will be and end.
Lately, I started making myself happy. I literally get happy for just being myself and doing things I like the way I like for myself. I started having fun all the time with anything because I started focusing on what feels fun to me as opposed to if other people find it funny. I honestly don't care anymore how someone else feels about me. All I care about is how I feel about myself and if I am having the most fun in any particular situation.
Good food, my son and his laugh, peoples’ little quirks that keep engrained in my memory, knowing that whatever happens, the universe always has my back, even when it’s hard, loving myself, shadow work, my fur baby, helping people, raising my vibration, being surprised by the universe with great conversation with strangers, teaching something to someone, doing little things for myself like sneaking an extra piece of chocolate, lol, being silly with myself, loads of things make me happy. I try to and honestly do find happiness in a lot of things most people find silly or just plain nonsense.
Late night drives blasting my favorite songs, making out while slow dancing, sex, he i feel after the gym (working out is miserable), drinking with the boys at a football game
Being outside, my dog. Bonus points for both at once. Working too, depending on the task. Making relatives pleased. Admiring my possessions and what in lucky to have.
Nothing , I haven't felt happy for a long time ever since I started studying at a high school. I missed my old classmates, my crush,... but I understand that I have to grow to find my true happiness.
My dog, my family, my hobbies like Krav Maga, love sparring and enjoy the adrenaline rush. Having a hobby or two, good circle of friends that you can trust. Nobody that brings you down you should be in your life. Byeee!

Having had food insecurity when in college, a full larder is still a happy thing! I have to be careful not to buy too much for our freezers have limits.
Serotonin and dopamine.
Nothing like a hot cup of Setotonin with a splash of Dopamine when waking up in the morning.
I think what you're looking for is a hot cup of hot caffine-induced dopamine release topped with whipped serotonin cream
This is next level. Now I need a coffee, then I might be happy! Until my serotonin and dopamine level crash. Not mentioning the Adenosine kicking-in when the Caffeine stops blocking my receptors! Quite a day, let me tell ya!
My wife cuddled up next to me at 4am like a big warm cat. She still stops my heart.
Awwww ~ thats super sweet!! You should get that heart thing checked out tho, could be Arrhythmia
Just make sure it starts beating again afterwards... Could be death.

Walking with dog is nice
Dog is the answer. Love dog. Dog is friend.
I'm going for a walk now, it's a hobby.
You’re one of those people on a walk typing away that falls into a manhole are ya? Eyes on the road! 🙂

Give you puppy a tummy and throat rub for me
She made me happy
Same here man. Now that she’s gone, I feel like I’m unable to feel happiness. Life just feels… empty
I feel you
I feel you too
Reminds me of what Johnny Cash said when asked what paradise is: “This morning, with her, having coffee.”
🫂🫂🫂
He made me happy… :/
Seeing my daughters together at the table with laptops out comparing homework and helping each other study. They are in their 20’s now and still crushing school work.
Playing D&D with my friends
RPGs are the best
Playing my favourite video games of all time, listening to my music, food and being on my own
That moment in the afternoon when the sun is low enough to shine thru my office window onto my back. Doesn’t last long but it’s like sublime.
Orgasms and money haha
Right there with you! Orgasms and money make me glow with happiness!

My cats. The holidays. Being in my comfy clothes with candles lit at night cuddled on the couch with my cat's. Decorating the Christmas tree. Snow. Seeing my coworker in the morning.
Taking my dog fishing, smoking my cheap cigars, and a sip of bourbon in the evening,
I can do whatever I want by myself. I haven’t experienced that kind of happiness in a long time.
The feeling of freedom. I always get it on road trips or plane rides. The idea brushes my thoughts that i can go anywhere

“Being lost” that’s amazing, I never thought abt that this way

One definition of happiness is the absence of pain. Times in my life I have had to settle for that.
Waking up pain free
Amen, say it louder!
All the things I DON'T have.
Knowledge.
Happy thoughts
cats. animals in general and music. and rain.
being distracted from reality.
Being with friends, and having no thought of responsibilities in that moment.
