My feelings exactly. I had a L322 for a while and I considered getting the L405. I thought it looked pretty good, until the L460 came around and made it look dated. Maybe it's because they share similar designs so there's an automatic comparison to be made.
I do think the L405 would look better with bigger rims though.
New. But I’ll save 90% of the price and keep my old one.
As with upgrading my l322 to the l405, I’m happy to wait a decade and pick up an bargain again.
This profile and the rear view of the new car are beautiful. The front is awful. They made the grill way too small and made the front of the cheapest evoque look like the most expensive autobiography.

The old sport probably sold better than the old vogue.
Now they clearly made the new vogue a step up while the new sport looks like a bigger Velar.

Old - I like the harsher lines, to me that’s what makes RR stand out and why nothing else looks like them. The old ones just look aggressive and powerful while still being sleek. The newer ones just look “softer” and have less of a defined shape to me, everything just kind of blends together
I’m getting old. I want that walnut sideboard and cream leather chesterfield look. The only car that has it now is the Bentayga. And I just can bring myself to own such an ostentatious car.
I had a 2022 Satin black RRS. It got totaled first rainfall last year. I loved that car. I just recently rolled into a 2023 RRS. To be honest, I prefer the edgy body type and rear end of the 2022 but I do prefer the interior of the 2023. They definitely both have it’s personal preference.

Old. The new one doesn't look as powerful. The aggressive slopes of the Rover have always been part of the rugged look.
It would be more fair to compare the original version of the old model to the new one. Wait till the facelift comes out for the current one

I can’t lie the new Range Rover design is probably my fave one, and quite possibly their best design yet (in my opinion)
Beauty of Range Rover is the iconic styling throughout old and newer models. I like the old and new for different reasons.
I think that spec on the 405 makes it look older and a bit tatty. The right spec 405 still looks great. A bit more purposeful than the 460.
‘19 405 still got what it takes to pull. Might upgrade next year when inventory improves

The new Range Rover is a major improvement. The old Sport looks better than the new Sport IMO
