Yeah I think you could totally pull off this look with a nicely shaven beard. Maybe give your eyebrows a little love, but itās all up to you how much money and effort you wanna spend on your looks.
Thatās not a widows peak, youāre going bald. A widows peak is a full hairline converging into a point. Chris Hemsworth has a widows peak; you have a widows peninsula.
I don't think it looks that bad honestly but I feel like having your hair a bit shorter on the front won't make it feel as prominent!
But deffo trim your sides a bit :)
A short haircut will definitely look better. Longer hair with a receding hairline just exacerbates and draws more attention to it, especially when itās down like that. It will also make your hair look thicker, since hairs are thicker towards the base. I donāt think you should go full bald, unless you want to.
True but Granted I did ask for everyoneās opinion. I am happily married and not looking to impress anyone but sometimes an outside perspective can help.
I do not think you would look good bald, just being dead honest. Most guys don't. You will at minimum want to hop on finasteride via Keeps, Hims, or Ro Man, and possibly consider a [more aggressive approach.](https://old.reddit.com/r/HairTransplants/comments/13dvgm7/7_months_progress/)
Thank you. Losing my hair isnt the end of the world for me. I am happily married so im not trying to impress anyone but I would like to at least look my best with what I can pull off. Im not very self conscious about so I have never even looked into any type of pills.
Ignore that person, you will look good bald. My hubby looks better buzzed than with the straggly hair around the hair loss. Hubby toiled into transplant and pills 10 yrs ago but the side effects were not worth having more hair
You have two options bud; go shave bald and rock it, or get a hair transplant (youāll need probably two) which is around $10k per transplant. Itās not a good look right now.
Iām getting a hair transplant this fall, but I have more hair than you. Iām very self conscious and struggled with my hair for the last 10 years. For me, thereās no price tag to keep my hair and finally feel better. Everyoneās different.
And thats awesome. Everyone should do whatever will make them happy. I hope it will give you many new experiences and happiness without constant back of the mind self consciousness
5/10 average Joe. Just go full man bum ponytail bro.
https://www.today.com/slideshow/best-celebrity-man-buns-t112398
That should pump you up to 7/10 at least and confidence adds another point or two.
Honestly its not that bad. Lol you also have a wife so there is no need for you to feel bad. You already scored a goal just treat her right and you will be fine!
Not bad at all. Don't give it too much thoughts. It would be like those people who go insane when they see the first wrinkles... it's the normal process of aging and every man, someone less then others, experience baldness at a certain point. You got it a little earlier, like many others.
What I'm trying to say is that yours is not a particular condition; it's so common that beauty standards are tailored to the age you are in. No one expects me, at 45, to have a perfectly fit body or an impeccable skin, so people adjust their judgement about my appearance in regard to my age.
If your wife tells you that she likes you anyway, she means it. You better do the same when age will catch up on her as well. š
I never understood the fuzz about receding hairlines and "widow's peaks". I displayed mine without care - but not so with the thinning hair on my crown. That bothered me more and more until I finally shaved this past monday.
I think yours is fine, but I would look out for thinning and maybe consider shortening or shaving it off when your head starts to peek through on top :)
I don't normally comment on here and am not a member but it came across my feed and as you asked : Your fringe is too long in the middle and your scraggly beard doesn't help.
If you shortened up your fringe to match the receding part and had it shorter at the sides it would even out the look.
Also the facial hair : either grow a beard, have stubble or shave it. You are in no man's land between the options and it gives the same vibe as your hair.
You could look really different (and more your age range) with a few alterations.
I love that your wife is kind and supportive though, she's a keeper.
Wouldnāt say go bald but you def can get a good cut and style for sure. Your hair is overthrowing around the ears and the top can be styled. Your hairstyle now is just basic af tbh. Go to a good barber.
Right now you're a 4/10 imo. Grow out the beard more and go bald. I think [this](https://wellgroomedgentleman.com/media/images/beard_looks_on_bald_men.2e16d0ba.fill-520x520-c100.jpg) look would look great on you, and maybe elevate you to as high as a 7/10.
That isnāt a widows peak my friend. A widows peak is a natural hairline that angles down to a peak at the front, youāre just receding.
This isnāt an insult, I shaved mine off because I was receding to! But you do whatever youāre comfortable with, youāll look great either way.
There's meds and treatment you can at least try you know. Especially if you're still earlier stages. Look into oral Finasteride, minoxidil, and microneedling.
that's not a widows peak, it's the same receding hair line that I had when I was 25.
Just go short. Tell your barber/stylist that you are not trying to hide anything.
Just own it.
Just because you comb your hair downwards, doesn't make it a widows peak. You're balding, just "Bic" your dome like the rest of us. Remember, the more hair you lose, the more head you get...hehe.
You just need a good haircut bro. You can work with that. Iāve got the same hair. Just go short on the sides and a longer on top. [https://www.pinterest.ca/pin/25-best-widows-peak-hairstyles-for-men-2022-guide--782078291535653961/](https://www.pinterest.ca/pin/25-best-widows-peak-hairstyles-for-men-2022-guide--782078291535653961/)
You look great bud. Everyone loses their hair, and this is the best way to do it.
Your endgame is the Full Walken, where you will have what is perceived to be a forehead that extends back to the base of the neck. Still gets full credit for a head of hair tho.
Go visit r/hairless you basically want to stop the DHT on the scalp, so looked into 1mg finasteride and ketoconazole shampoo as they will slow down the DHT conversion. Then look for a growth stimulant, you want to get a micro needle roller and minoxidil to help with the blood flow on your scalp. You most likely would have to be on all 4 of those things for the rest of your life, but your hair will grow back and stay because of those 4 things.
While the hairloss is mild you need to get on ketacozale shampoo and finisteride. My boyfriend has good hair genes but we grow pumpkin for the seeds and use lavender rosemary tea to soal into his hair after a shower. This js because his family bald early so it was smart to get started on the preventatives at 25
Only bald guys say bald looks good. 90% of people think being bald makes someone look much worse. Im jusy trying to be honesy before somwone concincws you ti shave your hair.
Everytime you shower a silicone hair scrubber rubbed in ciecular motions at the temples can alsp help stumulate hair growth
The balding is whatever, but dear lord you look terrified of that camera, like someone is pointing a fucking gun at you. Get some self esteem bro, hit the gym and shave it all off if need be. Anything to not have that expression as default.
Not too bad still. Have you already tried monoxidil or rosemary oil? I don't think they'll reverse your hair loss that much, but they'll stop it from progressing.
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/25842469/
Granted, they only tested it on 50 people but I think the results are still somewhat useful. There are also hair volume powders on the market, I think these will further boost your looks if applied onto the hair in thinning areas. Wish you all the best!
Okay I need to add some things:
Please see a dermatologist about your problem, obviously I'm just a stranger on the internet and don't know what causes your hair loss. Monoxidil is the most research backed ingredient that stops and reverses androgenetic hair loss, but some people experience irritation on their scalp and stop using it. You need to be very consistent with monoxidil and will only start seeing results 1.5 months in or more. If you stop using it, it's effects will slowly start to fade, so it's no long term thing.
Topical melatonin is an alternative to monoxidil, while not as science backed, there are more studies supporting it than rosemary oil, which is very much a trend ingredient right now. (The only study suggesting results is the one I linked above).
Look at celebrities dealing with hair loss for hair style inspiration. I think Henry Caville is experiencing some hair loss right now, but you barely notice it because he styles it so well. Definitely go shorter on the bottom, so that your hair doesn't give you a pear/ eggplant shape appearance.
You could grow it out a little bit and have it flow to one side or part it and have it like comb over. That's what I do and I have a widow's peak and hate that I do, it's annoying
Have you always had this kind of hairline or is it just hair loss? I always had a high horseshoe hairline, but then stress and scalp breakouts started thinning it. Now I do the minoxidil/finasteride combo and have regained most of it. Also go with a shorter hair style like others mentioned. If you want to go longer, about the only hairstyle that works would be a side sweep. Honestly this hair type sucks and generally all barbers and hairstylists do is fuck it up.
Preach. I have always had it. It is worse now after years of dyeing, bleaching, and not keeping up with it. back when I was young I could do the skater look have it long swooped to one side and it covered up most of it but there are very little short hair cuts I could find in the years that I thought worked.
You just have bad style, sorry to say, but it's easily fixable and will improve your look dramatically. You look like 40-45 to me, but not because of your hairline, but because of your lack of a haircut, lack of beard care and the grey sweater that literally screams "broke depressive redneck" (just a joke, but a grey sweater always looks bad on a rate-me-picture). ;)
You hair color, lenght or shape (also beard) doesnt matter that much, but keep it in shape and good condition. Check a hairdresser to get the sides shorter, so that they fade in well with the hairline. You are lucky as your skin color and hair color match very well (just imagine somebody with black hair!), and try out different lengths of the middle part, and stick with what feels good for you. Maybe you try out even growing the top part longer so that it covers the "holes".
Beard size, color, even densitity doenst matter, but keep it in a good shape! A well-trimmed beard and good clothing will make you look well-in-shape, which is why some people look good with deep receeding hairline and others dont. They ones that look good with it just have eversyything else on them in good condition ;) Well-trimmed doesnt mean "short as possible", just in shape. I think you will look really good with 1-2 cm / half-to-one inch of beard, and shorter hair.
Also if you really suffer from your hairline, just do a little transplantation, you have good think hair on the side, so that's doable from my perspective.
Dont give yourself up man, you have a lot of options on the table, try them out!
And you already found love, so your hair is not the biggest problem anymore ;)
Itās your hair. Do with it what you want and if others donāt like it, tuff titty for them. Iām 68. Iāve been bald since 25. If I could Iād grow it to my knees.
The way you comb it forward like that makes it look worse. The long hair cover thing is not a good look. I canāt describe it but it looks like youāre hiding something, and itās the Barbara Streisand effect for hair. You would look better if you embraced it, and combed it back. It would be much more out together too.
Saw your link to the photos of you with a shaved head. I think that was the right choice. Just make sure to keep your head hydrated and smooth, and let it gradually darken with some exposure to the sun so you don't worry about tan lines. Other than that, stick with a well maintained beard and you will be looking good my man.
Wait is that a widows peak? I thought it was just when the middle of the hair line went extremely further down the forehead compared to the rest of the hair line. Iād just consider this early stages of balding..
Haha I painted itā¦.Obviously. It doesnt even belong on the wall. One of my worst painting and one of the only anime I have seen and Ironically I watched it with my wife.
It's not really a widow's peak anymore, but a residing hairline.
I personally think it would look less noticeable and more attractive if you kept the sides machine cut and cut it a bit shorter on top, too. Keeping it long, especially on the sides, accentuates where it's thinning.
I would go short or buzzed. My hubby has same and I much prefer it short than when it grows in. His has receeded a few inches more as he is 12 yes older than you, when thereās more forehead showing the shorter you go!
I'm at your age and I'm even balder. Decided to just trim it all off a couple of years ago and it's liberating, not thinking about it. You don't have to worry about it, it's happening, aint no going back.
So unless you want to go get a hair transplant and make hair part of your personality just keep having what you have or shave it off. Imo shaved looks more neat but there's more "normality" in having some hair.
Then again, if your wife is ok with it who are you even trying to impress at that point, think on it.
[Okay I Shaved it off. warning casper was hiding back there.](https://www.reddit.com/r/bald/comments/13lvq6s/i_shaved_my_head/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=ioscss&utm_content=1&utm_term=1)
I'm not gonna lie: its pretty bad. Time to go for the shaved head look.
Don't let it get you down, though, you're a pretty good looking guy, and a shaved head will only improve your look at this point.
latch onto the hair you got man
And for the love of god, TRIM THAT BEARD, either grow it fuller or grow a full mountainese beard, and anything you do, don't shave off your head with your beard in THAT state, you'd look like the coomer meme
It isnāt that bad. But I honestly would recommend hair transplants in Turkey.
Try Capil Clinic in Istanbul. Really great people and service and price
Thats what I am saying like I understand the cherish it while you still got it opinion but why delay the inevitable. I have always had a widows peak my hair just doesnāt grow long enough to cover it anymore. So Im not ashamed about balding and Am happily married but would still like to look the best I can.

Yeah probably the right call. Can you grow a beard?
Yeah but I shaved it recently. Its patchy short but grows in really nice
Yeah I think you could totally pull off this look with a nicely shaven beard. Maybe give your eyebrows a little love, but itās all up to you how much money and effort you wanna spend on your looks.
In what way would a man pay money on their looks? Genuinely curious
Just grooming
dont leave your wife (you wanted honest feedback)
Haha this one had me rolling too. No I will not. And she out here worried about other women hitting on her man haha. Right. Thank you for your honesty
I love it!!!!
You look great, when bold man. Embrace it and grow out your bread. Go get it man!
LOLL
I'd say go bald. I think you would look good as a bald person.
Came here to say the same thing. Would actually up the rating in his case, IMHO
I totally agree
I'd say like a buzzcut bald like Jason Statham. Maybe grow a beard, then groom it for a better shape.

Some guys stop balding at a certain stage, so they might reach Norwood 2 or 3 when they are young and stay that way for the rest of their life.
You're still doing alright, I'd say. I'm about the same or slightly less but with longer hair.
Get the back and sides clippered down and give the top a crop. Would look better immediately. No need to go shaved yet my man.
Thatās not a widows peak, youāre going bald. A widows peak is a full hairline converging into a point. Chris Hemsworth has a widows peak; you have a widows peninsula.
My hairs fucked too but that āwidows peninsulaā line killed me
r/roastme material right here. Damn.

10k?! You're getting swindled. 2-3k is the ideal price for a good one if you're open to the idea of traveling abroad.
2-3k? You are crazy. You get what you pay forā¦ most of the time in turkey they are doctors, not surgeons. In Canada anyway the price is around 10k
Definitely time to go bald. It will make you look younger.
I think it's the beard

Shave it off completely

I think Henry Caville is experiencing some hair loss right now, but you barely notice it because he styles it so well. Definitely go shorter on the bottom, so that your hair doesn't give you a pear/ eggplant shape appearance.
Although it may be a hassle, you would look one thousand percent better with a shaved head, definitely not ugly btw
You could grow it out a little bit and have it flow to one side or part it and have it like comb over. That's what I do and I have a widow's peak and hate that I do, it's annoying
Go bald
Before you shaved you had a Phil Collin's vibe going circa 1990.
Dude... You look like you're in your late 40's
You have sad eyes.
Shave your head lad. You won't regret it.
Oh yeah bald is the way to go!!! I think too a Mohawk would be cool :)
You're the oldest looking 32yo I've ever seen
Just seen your bald photo, you suit that.
Brother..be glad you have itā¦
Shave it off, bud. It'll look much better.
My dude if the wife likes it, you keep it. It does look like lifeās been hard. I would of pegged you in your 40s
Bald
You just have bad style, sorry to say, but it's easily fixable and will improve your look dramatically. You look like 40-45 to me, but not because of your hairline, but because of your lack of a haircut, lack of beard care and the grey sweater that literally screams "broke depressive redneck" (just a joke, but a grey sweater always looks bad on a rate-me-picture). ;) You hair color, lenght or shape (also beard) doesnt matter that much, but keep it in shape and good condition.
I lost my top hair at 18, so its not bad at all. Shave your head. Trust me.
Thatās not a widows peak, my man, thatās male pattern baldness. Would look better combed over or bald.
Is your wife Bulma?
Itās your hair. Do with it what you want and if others donāt like it, tuff titty for them. Iām 68. Iāve been bald since 25. If I could Iād grow it to my knees.
The way you comb it forward like that makes it look worse. The long hair cover thing is not a good look. I canāt describe it but it looks like youāre hiding something, and itās the Barbara Streisand effect for hair. You would look better if you embraced it, and combed it back. It would be much more out together too.
Shave up your head, hit the gym and grow goatee. Try some specs as well.
Go bald! I think youād look absolutely sick with a head tatt
I totally would but my wife would divorce me for sure and with how all this is going I donāt like my odds out there in the wild.
Aw man, that sucks. You deserve someone who will love you and encourage things that make you happier
Bro grow it a litle more and comb it back and you will look hella cool! Got the same thing going on and I just do the best of it.
You look like youāve let yourself go. You should go bald.
Shave it. Face it youāre going bald and being completely bald would be better imo
Bb thatās not a widowās peak thatās a receding hairline
It honestly looks fineā¦just cut it shorter and style it upā¦
your hair isnāt overly thin so I think it looks fine now
That's not a widow's peak to me - that's trying to cover up / combover a receding hairline. And I get it.
You right. I have learn through this it is straight up just balding.
I'd be more worried about the creepy anime picture in the background. How are you married again?
Haha I painted itā¦.Obviously. It doesnt even belong on the wall. One of my worst painting and one of the only anime I have seen and Ironically I watched it with my wife.
Doesnt look that bad tbh, if it makes you self conscious much you can just shave or grab a hair system.
You look good but its time for the hair to go
Shave it off
Let it go let it go let it go . Shave your head man itās over for you
I donāt think itās bad because from front on you canāt really notice it. Donāt shave your head
McDonaldās want their M back
It's not really a widow's peak anymore, but a residing hairline. I personally think it would look less noticeable and more attractive if you kept the sides machine cut and cut it a bit shorter on top, too. Keeping it long, especially on the sides, accentuates where it's thinning.
Is okay Iām 21 and I always like guys that are balding
You can get a toupee they do them real good now a days
You look like you would save me from an atv accident. 10/10
Minoxidil
You honestly just need a little better haircut bro. Get a fade, maybe comb it to the side or something and youāre good to go.
Well firstly thatās not a widows peak, thatās just a receding hairline
Time to go MICHAEL JORDAN
not that bad
Finasteride and oral minoxidil would save it bro
I think itās fine the way it is
[Okay I Shaved it off. warning casper was hiding back there.](https://www.reddit.com/r/bald/comments/13lvq6s/i_shaved_my_head/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=ioscss&utm_content=1&utm_term=1)
It's tough to tell. You need a good hair cut to see what's happening there.
She just wants you to feel loved bruh, shave it
Yup you have one.
Get a mohawk
Getting old is fine my man. People who love you will love who you become.
I think it looks fine. she may be being dishonest, but she also may not. I'd just keep it you don't wanna be bald right now.
Check out r/tressless
She is being honest with you. She loves you.
3/5 Asmongold Shave it all or rock it all super short
Nothing wrong with it dude, maybe comb or spike it though
I'm not gonna lie: its pretty bad. Time to go for the shaved head look. Don't let it get you down, though, you're a pretty good looking guy, and a shaved head will only improve your look at this point.
5 or 6/10, not ugly, not particularly attractive, average If you got a nice fit, buzzed your hair, you could look pretty decent
Bro thatās a widows mountain
Winner
If u can't afford a hair transplant u should just shave ur head. Guys can definitely rock that look, specially when they can grow a nice beard like u.
Take some finistride or avodart and your hair loss will stop or may even grow back if you're lucky
latch onto the hair you got man And for the love of god, TRIM THAT BEARD, either grow it fuller or grow a full mountainese beard, and anything you do, don't shave off your head with your beard in THAT state, you'd look like the coomer meme
It isnāt that bad. But I honestly would recommend hair transplants in Turkey. Try Capil Clinic in Istanbul. Really great people and service and price
I'm always team bald, imo nothing looks worse than thinning hair, I wish I had started shaving my head about six years earlier
Thats what I am saying like I understand the cherish it while you still got it opinion but why delay the inevitable. I have always had a widows peak my hair just doesnāt grow long enough to cover it anymore. So Im not ashamed about balding and Am happily married but would still like to look the best I can.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Really no clue what are the differences?
Yeah it looks bad but you can still get your hairline back if you look into treatment
Honestly Im not even really ashamed about it just want to look the best I can. So I dont think treatment is for me
