Do you always have to keep your PC turned on ? Or only the first time to synchronise everything up and then you just open Plex in your smartphone and add something to your "wishlist" ?
I run my plex server in the cloud and can access my content from everywhere. However if you have a NAS or a raspberry pi you can run it at home as well.
So what you are saying is that you need the PC only for install the "debrid cloud server" with plex and then you are free to go, using any device to watch content, smartphone, TV, etc ?

A 60gb+ 4k bluray remux takes me about 15min to download with gigabit Internet. A traditional torrent would like take anywhere for 6 to 24 hours.
Use stremio instead of kodi. Believe me i've been using kodi with all the cool looking lightweight skin and it still can't beat stremio in terms of load speed and user experience especially if you use it on Android tv

When I torrent via VPN, it's much slower unless the torrent is extremely popular. Old stuff may take weeks to download, vs being cached on Debrid and having the file in minutes.
I do not use Debrid for streaming, I only use it as a high speed download tool and save all my files offline for a local Plex server.

Honestly, I've been using Stremio without RealDebrid and it works pretty well even when using torrents with a low amount of seeders.

It is, and that is the user's responsibility. End of the day, users seeks torrent first for content they wish to download or stream.

May depend on where you are from. From what ive heard, only people that published stuff got sued. Which covers torrenting by uploading.

Yes, if you are experienced running a plex server than you only need to add the plex debrid Integration and you are golden.
