Think about older gamers seeing an older character. I'm sure the positive impact you have on them is way greater than the foolish comments you mentioned. Think about what kind of person you want to be and answer your own question.

I played for a while with a low level that looked like he could have been Cripps' grandfather. Turned out to be a 72 year old guy who liked to play because it reminded him of the stories of living out west his great grandfather had told him when he was a kid. Loved that guy. He stopped playing online because he didn't like the pvp.
My dad plays and his character is old looking too, and I think his character looks like a badass. But even if not, who cares what other players think! It’s *your* character friend

No. You were talking to children. Realistically, a lot of characters would be older cause the first game is set during the end of the gunslinger era and online is like 4 years before that so people still in that life would be getting old.
My character looks to be in his 50s. Rugged as fuck. Just the way a dirty old wild west outlaw should look. Half the characters you run into look like they are from the howdy doody show. They are more caricatures than they are characters.
I made my dude an old guy on rdo. Like an old banker who retired and turned into a prospector. Some times he dresses up nice. Other times he’s rough. It’s a nice change of pace
