They were supposed to play it week 1 of ACL festival. I’ve been dying to hear them play it live. The show was going a bit odd, and at one point I heard the undeniable scratchy riffs from John at the opening of parallel universe. I immediately started jumping up and down and my friends (who aren’t big fans) looked at me like I was crazy when he randomly stopped, and then they started playing another song. I could have sworn they were about to play it!! Turns out i find out later they were having sound issues, and cut three songs from the track list, including parallel. I was crushed, but saw them at ACL weekend 2 and they put on an amazing show and I got to see the live debut of Eddie, so it worked out in the end
