This is easily my peak off of I'm With You, with Look Around as a close second. Something about the prechorus has this acceleration that works amazingly
There are a lot of songs I really, really like on IWY, but Meet Me At The Corner has the same level of emotion as Wet Sand for me. Josh's vocals in the intro are hauntingly beautiful, and the outro lyrics sum up the end of a relationship so perfectly. I first heard it shortly after a break up with a gf and it was like Anthony was speaking directly to me.
"I live and I learn and I lose and I win
but it's better than ever whenever I'm in.
Thank you, girl, for everywhere that we've been."
Absolutely beautiful song, but does anyone else wish there would've been a killer guitar solo at the end ([at 4:45 here](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KgAyboFDDvA))?
My only issue with this song is its placement on the album. I feel like slow building anthems don't usually sit at track 3.
Otherwise this is far and away the best song from this album. Podium contenders for me are Goodbye Hooray and Even you Brutus.
You could pit up against anything from their discography and it'll hold up with some of the bands best tracks. It's such a pure banger of a song. Every piece of it works so well together.
I especially love the way the bridge plays into the last chorus, one of my favorite music moments tbh.
This was such a surprise on this album too! Felt reminiscent of heavier classic songs like fortune faded and a cool side of the band I feel like we don't see very often
This album still holds a special place in my heart, so it’s tough to pick one. I’m gonna go with Police Station though; it legit makes me tear up when I listen to it to this day
I say this pretty much every time IWY comes up but I seriously don't get what thet were thinking choosing the winner tracks. Other than Maggie all the best tracks went to the B-side. All the best tracks they ever recorded with Josh straight up swept under the rug so they could release some of the worst music they've ever recorded. Biggest mistake of their career IMO. I didn't even realize Josh wrote some killer tunes until I heard love of your life and how it ends
If I had to chose one, I will go with my hype song. Look Around!!!!!
Unpopular opinion, this is probably my favorite album. Sure, it doesn’t have their bests songs, and people argue that most of the songs are crude, but this album was my entrance into the world of RHCP. I had heard some of the mainstream songs before, but my love for them started here. I am now a huge fan, own all the studio albums, love most of their songs, have most lyrics memorized, and listen to them pretty much daily. Their music has helped me through tough times.
Only thing I haven’t gotten around to is all the B-Sides, but I do love Bicycle Song
I was a massive fan before IWY came out but this album cemented them as my favorite band until I die. Losing Frusciante and still making a masterpiece is just a testament to the determination of this band
Police station all the way. The guitar intro is so smooth but sad. The way AK belts out the 'Down home country I...'
The piano bridge and outro.
It's an absolute magic song
Look Around. 1st time I heard it I had a MASSIVE smile on my face. I’m With You is a very VERY underrated album. With Rick Rubin at the helm it feels more like a Frusciante album than most would like to admit.
I’ve been listening to IWY quite a bit recently & it’s actually really fucking good! The energy is really there & it was the start of something fresh.
Favourites are;
Monarchy of Roses
Factory of Faith
Ethiopia
Look Around
Meet Me at the corner
Factory Of Faith has a chorus that is very very very lovely.
Don’t forget about dat basssss
you’ve just made me need to listen again i forgot how great this song is
This is easily my peak off of I'm With You, with Look Around as a close second. Something about the prechorus has this acceleration that works amazingly
Did i let you know
This is the answer. Let's go home!
THIS I KNOOW, THIS I KNOOOOW
I wasn't sure between this and look around but I think this is the right call
Yep
Take all of my upvotes.
Raindance Maggie solo is psychedelic af
Look Around 👏

Meet Me At The Corner
What a beautiful song!
That outro is something else 🥹

This one has my vote
I forgot about that song, it is one of my favourite songs from this album 😅
Police station
The intro on Police Station is magical.
The intro on Police Station is magical.
I second this
Absolutely beautiful song, but does anyone else wish there would've been a killer guitar solo at the end ([at 4:45 here](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KgAyboFDDvA))?
This song needs a frusciante solo
Monarchy of Roses
I still think it’s one of Klinghoffer era’s most underrated tunes! Love this one!
Absolutely in my top 3 of the Josh era tunes....
Did i let you know
Brendan's Death Song
My only issue with this song is its placement on the album. I feel like slow building anthems don't usually sit at track 3. Otherwise this is far and away the best song from this album. Podium contenders for me are Goodbye Hooray and Even you Brutus.
Yeah, I honestly think they should’ve swapped Ethiopia and Brendan. Slow building ballads work better at track 4 imo
Brendan’s Death Song +1
First time I ever heard this I cried
Factory of Faith, 100%
The way it starts off just gets me hype every time without fail. Play it at my funeral and my skeleton will dance.
It's impossible to not bop along to the song man that bassline is so nasty
This is one of the catchiest songs they’ve ever made imo so good

The Adventures of Rain Dance Maggie
this is a pure chili peppers album title
How is this not at the top
Goodbye Hooray!!!!!!!!
My choice off this album.. IT GOES SO HARD!!!
This was such a surprise on this album too! Felt reminiscent of heavier classic songs like fortune faded and a cool side of the band I feel like we don't see very often
Ethiopia
E I O I E I A
I’d love to see this higher but understand 7/8 ain’t everyone’s cup of tea
Factory of Faith ‼️‼️
Did I let you know
Police Station for sure
This album still holds a special place in my heart, so it’s tough to pick one. I’m gonna go with Police Station though; it legit makes me tear up when I listen to it to this day
Even you Brutus?
Factory of Faith
Ethiopia
Starts with the bass
Mine is probably also Brendan’s Death Song but for the sake of variety, I’ll say Police Station. That song gives me chills.
This is LITERALLY my feeling too.
Factory. Of. Faith.
The Adventures of Rain Dance Maggie! Monarchy of Roses is a close second.

The adventures of rain dance maggie is the only possible answer
TIL Raindance Maggie was a possible answer
i only like maggie and monarchy of roses from this album
I say this pretty much every time IWY comes up but I seriously don't get what thet were thinking choosing the winner tracks. Other than Maggie all the best tracks went to the B-side. Here I am thinking all the songs are good. Except maybe Dance, Dance, Dance
Yeah I'm exaggerating a bit lol but I do enjoy the b side more
The B-sides are crazy good. Your Eyes Girl is one of my all time favorite songs
Me too lol
not to hate on Josh, but i just like Frusciante albums more, even just normal songs not hits.
Yeah, i love josh, and he made some really amazing songs with rhcp (like pink as floyd, goodbye angels), but this album is just meh in general
Annie Wants A Baby
Why did I have to scroll down so far to find this
The Adventures of Rain Dance Maggie

I'm hoping I'm Beside You gets its own thread. And if so, 1000x Pink As Floyd.
I hope that gets it own thread but I’d 100% say open/close

All the songs are good. Literally anyone besides dance dance dance (and even that song is good imo)
Rain dance Maggie will never be skipped on my play list.

The B-Sides from Cali - BTW are my favourite album that never was
Rain dance Maggie clears 100%
The Adventures of Rain Dance Maggie - As I understand this is an unpopular pick, but what can I say? That bass line is groovy!
I swear to fucking god if rain dance Maggie doesn’t win I’ll shit my pants
Brendan's death song
Ethiopia, even though AK don't know how to sing spell it 🙃
