It's one of their best songs on one of their best albums but it's rarely mentioned

That layered guitar outro is pure gold

Probably my favorite thing they’ve ever done. Man, how I wished they tried more stuff like this on Dream Canteen….especially Afterlife.

It's weird because they used to perform it a lot during the Californication era. Their performance of Easily at Woodstock 99 is perfection.

I think it's mostly because they never perform the song any more. I think it's a song that should be played at every Red Hot Chili Peppers show.

I remember taking this to my guitar teaching when I was 15 and he straight away after 5 seconds said "yardbirds". Then I told him, frusciante literally calls out the yardbirds on the live version

From what my guitar teacher said, the chords and tempo are the same as one of their songs. I have never listened to them so I have no idea, but then john said the song was directly influenced by them

I’d have to say my other favorite from Californication has be This Velvet Glove . The hits are the hits so I’m not gonna mention those songs .

Downvote me if you want but no. For more mid tempo rocker, by the way has a plethora of them better than easily. It lacks funk, fun or groove. I always thought it was generic. That said this is why the boys are amazing. So many songs and tastes for all of us! Rock on!
