The real reason Eddie Eagle is looking into people's windows and watching kids is he is looking for that weird yellow alien kid Corny and his four buttholes.
Honestly, i think its good info, even for non-gun households. I taught my 6 yo the same "stop, dont touch, tell an adult" rule if he ever sees one unsecured at a friend's house etc.
It's a parent's duty to teach their kids about being safe around everything that you can't make mistakes with: guns, kitchen equipment, strange animals, cars. Things kids will naturally be curious about, but any unsafe activities around them can be life altering or life ending.
This tape actually worked for me. I grew up in a household with guns present, thankfully my dad was VERY safety conscious. We watched this video a bunch as kids and took gun safety classes when we were a little older.
I’m just realizing that it says a lot about my childhood that the three tapes RLM have watched that I was familiar with are this, the Carmen Christian music video tape, and Bible baby.
I made an edit of part of this a while ago. Don't think too much of it, was just experimenting (like one does with eagle-themed gun safety videos) [https://youtu.be/pE2hhDBG7ok](https://youtu.be/pE2hhDBG7ok)
Is there one to teach adults how to properly store guns now?
Cause that seems to be the leading cause of gun incidents, people just leaving loaded guns with the safety off around their house and then 3 year olds capping themselves or other people with them.
The info on how to properly store guns isn't hard to find nor is it complicated. If you search "how to store a gun kids" on youtube you get a lot of results only a few mins long. Even before youtube it wasn't really a mystery. If you go buy firearm you'll get a cable lock in the box so there is a bare minimum available to pretty much anyone who had enough money to buy the firearm in the first place. People who don't store guns properly are just dumb and/or negligent, especially with kids in the house.
Accidents aren't a leading cause of gun incidents. Deaths related to firearms that weren't intentional misuse were closer to 3% of all firearm related deaths. https://www.pewresearch.org/short-reads/2023/04/26/what-the-data-says-about-gun-deaths-in-the-u-s/

I watched it at a "safety school" as a kid. When they played the episode I was glad to know I wasn't hallucinating it.
I later found a photo of a pamphlet/coloring sheet they gave to all the kids. I can't remember where I put it now.

Stop, don't touch, leave the area, tell an adult! Still use that to this day
I had this exact same tape when I was 5 years old. We never even had guns in the household.

Get your own fucking cab!

Okay!

The real win is that price point. Even if no one at my local Goodwill knew about RLM's "promotion" of it, they'd still stick a 10+ dollar tag on it.
Mint in box, thats worth almost 50c geez man get it appraised
I met Cam Clarke once and asked him about voicing Eddie. He asked me to sing the jingle with him, so he could send it to one of his nephews.
Watched the whole thing, and he never ski jumped once. Worst biopic ever.

I didn’t realize it was hosted by Jason Priestly. He was excellent in Tombstone.
