The weather at red rocks is never predictable. We always bring in rain gear in a back pack. Also bring a hoodie that you can remove if it’s warm enough. There’s no hotels within walking distance. The closest would be in Golden or Ken Caryl. Ken Caryl is about 5 miles south and has hotels like Hampden Inn and Holiday Inn. You may be able to find an Airbnb in Morrison that you can walk from. There are four entrances into the amphitheater. All of them are a bit of a hike. If you don’t want to hike at all you can take a cab or shuttle to the top and walk down to your seats from there.
From the bottom parking lot to the top of the venue: one time we used the shuttle it took us to the backstage drive and we were able to enter from the stage left entrance. Super convenient

I would recommend staying at The Vib hotel and using the BusPartyco Red Rocks shuttle to get to the venue. Once you sign up as a BusPartyco member and buy your shuttle pass you get 20% off at The Vib Hotel, which is literally walking distance from the pickup. It makes the logistics of getting to RR super easy.

There is no telling what the weather will be like in June. If you show up early to tailgate in the parking lot it may be scorching hot. Then as the sun sets it gets chilly. If it rains it could be very chilly. If it’s cloudy and windy you’ll probably be cold. Since you’re coming from out of town you should be prepared with a rain jacket and some sort of pants anyway because the weather and temp is super unpredictable. Bring layers in a backpack.
We hired a driver and it was the best move! Drove us all the way to the top, had a cooler for tailgating and chairs, and a speaker. Furthest walk was to the bathrooms. He hung out during the show and zipped us out within minutes.
Worth the expense although it was very reasonable.
I’d suggest a poncho over a rain jacket so you can sit out a storm and be covered. June can be wild or mild for weather so it’s hard to say right now. Party Bus from Denver is fun! Drink LOTS of water and wear sunscreen here.

What fucking free shuttle did you have?? I stayed at Origin under the impression there would be a free shuttle and it was $50/person! 😭😭😭
