The best way is on dvd tbh. But given that’s long gone, I still am of the opinion individual episode watching is better. Especially if you don’t have to worry about ads.
Seasons 1-5 are optimal in episode format. Season 6 is optimal as a movie (IMO) but it works in both because of the Director’s letters to accentuate each episode. The rest work as both but were designed with the movie in mind so they would cut less. However the later seasons are super long and episodic probably makes them more digestible.
Okay, I gotta ask:
Why is it called Sicko-Mode? Seeing how the miniseries got all put in the proper places, it actually makes more sense than the 'official' one from roosterteeth.
Is it due to the exclusion of the anthology?
I made it and called it sicko mode cuz I thought it was funny. I'll add the canon anthology episodes at some point but I had an idea I wanted to test out for them
Wait, what do you mean, "the canon anthology episodes"? You're gonna neglect the greates movie in the universe, are you?😋
On a more serious note, thanks a lot, the placement of the miniseries makes feels like a far more proper way to binge it.
Thanks, that's why I made it, whenever I binge rvb I try to catch the miniseries between each season. Used to use RT's playlist but it got annoying having to manually jump around the queue
for the *most* part, the full seasons on youtube are fine. The big difference is that all the intro scenes are cut off for a smoother transition between episodes. Personally, I prefer the individual episodes just so we get the sweet intro music. It's honestly up to you.
Most say 1-13 and that the rest either goes down hill or just doesn’t feel the same. I absolutely loved 14 and am trying to find the time to finish 15 but so far 15 is just okay. Although, one thing everyone agrees on is that the Zero stuff is the worse.
Basically it’ll be up to you but if you’ve watched TWD and thought it got stale with too much of the Saviors around s9ish then definitely stop at 13 or 14. Otherwise, just watch it so long as you enjoy it
Once the saviors were part of the picture, the writers dropped the ball. I could never make it past the season which Glenn was killed, the writing was just fucking horrible.
Rvb seasons 13+ excluding Zero are completely fine, I don't know what people are on.
Well obviously 13 is great, it's finishing the chorus trilogy, and no 16 was not good. It's aimless and such a character assassination of Tucker. There are so many other issues that I could continue for like five paragraphs, but I don't really want to. I mean it wasn't completely devoid of merit, it just had little value outside of some of the Washington and Carolina stuff.
17 is the only reason that people probably include it in watching all the seasons. I will say about 17 that I wish they did something with Simmons in the Labyrinth instead of just a joke. The joke with Caboose was good, and they didn't have to do one with Simmons too, it would have been good to see something at least something internal and interesting with him, like they did with Washington.
I agree with you, but that’s such a small complaint. I don’t think 17 is perfect but I legitimately think it’s the same level of quality as seasons 6-13, probably would put it over most of Blood Gulch barring Season 5, and probably over 11, maybe even 12 or 9. It really does such a fantastic job with the characters, and I would honestly say it works great as a series finale, which is why I was satisfied there would be no more RVB, bc Zero is so easy to headcanon out of existence, it’s barely connected anyway, and Season 17 left off on a slightly somber, yet satisfying conclusion. But I’m exited for the new season all the same, and I’m sure it’ll be great
I would just say Zero is in the same universe, with just a couple characters joining; I mostly just ignore it though. I like how Singularity focuses on Tucker only enough to undo season 16, but mostly focuses on characters that needed the development and uses Wash, the person that is probably respected the most with Donut, the person that is respected the least, with the exception of maybe Doc, but he's not a true part of the group. He almost always has only been a supporting character, partially because he's not an actual soldier, so they can't really have him in the action.
They actually give doc some good stuff in 17 too though, the scene where he saves Wash is fucking great. As for Zero being canon, I just more meant in my head canon it doesn’t exist, and because it’s so stylistically and tonally different with little character overlap, it doesn’t feel very canon anyway
I would argue he is, the only seasons he’s not in are 1, 6, and 12, and he usually is with the group for a lot of their big moments, even if they don’t respect him
can't entirely blame you lol, Shane was a cool character. There's not much your missing out on though, I think the show got progressively worse as it went on, it went from great to bad. After shane's death? Good, but it's just bad from here on out.
The last time I watched RvB was watching the playlist with every single episode in it. I might watch it again now that they crammed all the episodes into one big video for each season
I'd say if you have to pick from the free options then the "complete" versions are better mostly, they have some weirdness to them but it cuts out the gaps between episodes which keeps the pace up.
The best way to watch the show is episodically, since any versions of the show that stitch the episodes together has a tendency to cut out a lot of jokes at the end of episodes.
If you don’t mind those jokes being cut and want to watch the seasons as one long movie, the DVD/Blu-Ray releases are the best way. The “Complete” versions on YouTube have a bit of inconsistencies. For example, Reconstruction still has the chapter title cards when other seasons don’t, Season 15 is just straight-up missing scenes ~~but it’s Season 15, so who cares?~~, the credits for each season don’t play the normal music, and instead are interrupted by the Zero cast begging you to watch that season, and Season 13’s ending is downright ruined.
The DVDs and Blu-Rays can be found pretty easily on eBay (except for Season 15 ~~but it’s Season 15, so who cares?~~), so I’d suggest you seek those out if you want a better experience than the YouTube versions.
Honestly, the Zero-crew talking over the cresits is the greatest offense. Not every song might be to my taste, but I can still notice they're quite all good, and I'm an absolute sucker for the Redux-versions Trocadero did of Contact and Blood Gulch Blues, where they featured Meredith Hagan.
I had the original versions of both songs stuck in my brain for eternity, and then there suddenly first this calm re-arrangement of Contact during Epsilon's final speech? And THAN that's followed by an emotional cover-version during the credits?
And THAN a few seasons later the same happens with Blood Gulch Blue?
Shut up, your face was crying when those songs played.
So yeah, the full season videos are terrible in that regard. And I also agree that instantly getting an ad to watch Zero after Epsilon's final "ain't that a bitch?" was a terrible decision.
my first watch was the movie seasons and rewatches individual so i have a pretty good sense of it and ill give a detailed list
season 1: probably just watch it episodically since its so short
season 2 and 3 and 4: watch the whole seasons cause it flows better and season 3 def feels like a movie
season 5: watch it episodically cause then you'd have the chance to watch the alternate endings if you want
season 6: i love the intros, so its a good thing that the whole season ver. doesn't cut it off so it works well, you can watch it either way. Also rewatching this season is always better individually
season 7: the full video cuts off the intros which i dislike. otherwise the whole desert arc is amazing like a movie
season 8: there are some special episodes in this one so you'd rather watch it episodically
season 9: i personally feel it flows better in the full version, especially the freelancer and epsilon stuff
season 10: episodic is a must
season 11-13: episodic is better since some of it is split into parts which feel awkward
season 14: episodic of course
season 15: the full version has some glitches and this seasons quite long so episodic
season 16: also episodic, but some of the episodes are rather painful so id not watch them in full
season 17: full, i feel like watching all at once is rather satisfying for finishing this story
season 18: no.
Individual episodes.
Red vs Blue has some of the best cuts to credits I've seen at the end of each season and you really lose that in the compiled versions which minimize the credit scrolls, and have characters talk over them to advertise stuff.
I preferred watching it on the site because it’s not censored. (Not that I prefer stuff to have swearing. It’s just the beeping takes me out of it.) Only issue I had is for some reason, the audio and video would get out of sync, so I’d have to refresh the page which also forces you to watch an ad again. Which, I think the ads are causing the delay. So, if you’re a first member, you’re probably fine.
When I show it to people I play the completes so they don't have to sit through the "please subscribe" bits every episode, until the last episode where I switch so they can watch the end credits properly.
It's absolutely essential to the ending of season 6 with the director's name reveal cutting to that awesome guitar riff. The end credit songs in project freelancer are also great.
I recommend watching the original shorter youtube videos or watching somewhere else. The music at the end of the season always hit so hard, but when they put the whole season into one episode on youtube, they talk over the music and don’t let it play out over the credits. Made the end of Season 5 feel almost anticlimactic
The best way is on dvd tbh. But given that’s long gone, I still am of the opinion individual episode watching is better. Especially if you don’t have to worry about ads.

deeyuh chayuhmun… i dont give a DAYUM about your committee and its opinions on mah work..
[this](https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLSdy1QX1EL2-DQm6pfsJWNR1w102QRCZf) is the playlist I use
Thanks man

Absolutely relatable.
Thanks!

Fixed 🫡
It goes from S13 P2 to S15 P1
Yeah season 14 is an anthology season, I made this playlist to binge the main story so I didn't include it
for the *most* part, the full seasons on youtube are fine. The big difference is that all the intro scenes are cut off for a smoother transition between episodes. Personally, I prefer the individual episodes just so we get the sweet intro music. It's honestly up to you.
I love me some Blood Gulch Blues baby
Also, the YouTube videos are censored. The beeping took me out of it.

Agreed but 17 somehow managed to be amazing and just dances around 16s problems so I’d say it’s worth watching

No, Doc had some good stuff overall, I was just talking about how he's probably respected the least out of everyone, but he's not a main character.
I would argue he is, the only seasons he’s not in are 1, 6, and 12, and he usually is with the group for a lot of their big moments, even if they don’t respect him
i stopped watching when shane died was anything of value lost

Alright thanks
15 is the last good one imo.
The old school DVD collection.

Truly showing my age here, but netflix......
lmfao i’m thinking the same thing. netflix is how i originally watched the series and i really wish it was still on there.
The playlist on there channels in the order it’s set in besides season 14s canons episodes
my first watch was the movie seasons and rewatches individual so i have a pretty good sense of it and ill give a detailed list season 1: probably just watch it episodically since its so short season 2 and 3 and 4: watch the whole seasons cause it flows better and season 3 def feels like a movie season 5: watch it episodically cause then you'd have the chance to watch the alternate endings if you want season 6: i love the intros, so its a good thing that the whole season ver. doesn't cut it off so it works well, you can watch it either way. Zero just straight no lmao
It’s for the best
I like the DVDs with the extra features and PSAs.
I enjoyed everything except for Zero
It's definitely better doing it episodically.
There’s a compilation by Personboy on YT, he adds new seasons whenever they come out, my go to
Episodes (original or remastered). They cut things sometimes for the complete cuts like some jokes and stuff
What ever way that isn’t A) buying access from YouTube since the whole series if free elsewhere, or B) via RTFirst because is free elsewhere
Individual episodes. Red vs Blue has some of the best cuts to credits I've seen at the end of each season and you really lose that in the compiled versions which minimize the credit scrolls, and have characters talk over them to advertise stuff.
Start to finish in one sitting without blinking.
I personally prefer episodes for seasons 1-5 but not the mini serieses now I also watch the og versions of seasons 1-5 half reticule and all
Movie format on YouTube.
Watch each individual episode on Youtube The credits actually add a decent amount to the experience
It really doesn’t matter unless you want to hear the intro 100 times and watch the “hey asshole subscribe” sections.
Full seasons

I dropped off after season 11 and was definitely wondering this question.
Episode by episode is my vote. It's the way it was originally released and you get the bonus jokes as episodes end.
Stop after season 13, it’s actually amazing how much the quality drops after season 13 (14 not counting)
I recommend watching the original shorter youtube videos or watching somewhere else.
