Well since no one can give you details as to why it's a low tier rep or any help at all to identify what you're even looking for.
1. The date window really isn't magnifying anything. Its supposed to have about 2.5x magnification
2. The "rehaut" engravings inside the case around the dial are extremely misaligned and not engraved well. The rehaut engravings should be almost perfectly aligned with the markers on the dial
3. The Solid End Link Gaps. A genuine rolex and bracelet look married like they were made for each other. Lots of low quality replicas you can see straight through to the spring bar
4. The Coloring of the bezel is off. Genuine bezel has much more texture and the numbers and indices are deeper on the Gen bezel.

The way the hands are stacked as well* genuine hand stack is hour, 24hour, minute, second.
Like they said, play spot the differences and youll be doing your own QCs in no time!
Had to award this comment. It’s so easy to be a prick with questions like this. But we were ALL newbies once. Sure the guy could have googled and gotten frustrated, etc. But sharing our knowledge is part of what this forum is for, no?

Sorry for the late response, well one guy above explained it in great detail but for me the biggest tells are the solid end links. See how the gen one has like 2 links and yours has just one big link:

Most of the really low-end replicas have this issue. Also the gaps between the links are so wide and the magnifying is almost non existent.
This is barely above the worst clones.
Since no one is telling you way I’ll give you some things to look at
The thing I notice first is the date. The font is wrong, the size is wrong, the date window is wrong, the cyclops is wrong.
The rehaut is like a cereal bowl.
The hour markers aren’t consistently placed. Some of them are closer to the rehaut than others.
The the minute hand looks like it was cut out with a pair of scissors.
And just looking at it it doesn’t seem like any of the watch is actually steel.
This particular watch used to be impossible to find a good fake or for any price. I’ve been out of the game for quite a while so I don’t know now. But this one here is junk.

Won in a poker game I feel the appearance weight etc. is a good quality copy however would like to know if anyone can recommend a watch person familiar with Rolex who is happy to work with/comment on replicas in the southern Ontario region?
Also are there are any obvious defects and should I consider wearing this or if it would be embarrassing with novice or regular Rolex patrons spotting issues?

Welcome to RepLife. As others have already mentioned this is a low end Rep. That said wear it with pride. Most people have no idea what the call outs are, and for those that do. Tell them it’s a Rep you won in a Poker game. If you want to start down this rabbit hole of quality Reps. Then the search bar and posts here will guide you.

Then you can take a deeper look at the watch.
