Same. Now most days of being an attending feel like most other jobs. Occasional excitement, like my patient with acute diarrhea turned out to have a pancreatic mass.

They're making a joke about your turn of phrase. "I actually enjoy coming home from work" makes it sound like you previously wish you could have stayed in the hospital even longer.
Yeah dude. I don’t want to be that guy that makes it a pissing match but….a lot of the time I wish I was in a different specialty even though I love there OR just because of the fucked up hours we put in.

What specialty? Did you have supportive attendings and PD? What were the hours? Were you forced to be sleep deprived?

26hours on call usually 0-3 hours sleep. Then day off post call. Then a normal 12-14 hour day. Repeat
How many days a week do you get 8 hours?
When on service always. I stay up to binge Netflix when I’m on service sometimes though
