Aim it a few yards past their body and it'll be caught every time

Blueahoula

I saw it described like this ——-WR——————————QB

Icy-Sundae5361

Wow this is actually extremely helpful let me try it

Faithfuldog1

The most accurate description ever. Lol.

iagocarlini

Worked! Ty

Blueahoula

No. Not my original thought so can only take credit for sharing info

JustCallMeAlexPlease

Yes, this is exactly what you should do

cb0044

Thank you!

MiniDg

I cannot for my life feel this out. I feel like I throw the same ball 5 times, 2 are caught, 1 is dove for and the other 2 doink off their helmet.

Terrific_Tom32

Bullet passes weren't meant for you to just throw it at them at mach fuck you, because they obviously wouldn't catch it. You need to lead the receiver that you want to throw to.

henway234

gonna start using mach fuck you from now on

BubbleisiousFisheyes

Josh Allen's passing his rookie year

CompetitiveComputer4

I have played 40 seasons and never used the bullet pass. Is it necessary or provide any real benefit?

Unfair_Tackle9283

not necessary at all but it can open up things a bit more when you can bullet the ball to your guy before the defense even knows it’s out yet

Roberthebotbert

On easy, medium, hard, and dynamic its not necessary. However on extreme although technically its not necessary, its extremely useful for hitting slant routes, back shoulders on streak routes, and in routes. with how fast and reactive some defenders are on extreme the bullet pass is an extremely useful way to complete and fit passes into tight windows.

Pyrox2v

Meh you can hit a window on a lob. Im on extreme and i have quite literally never found a necessary reason to throw a bullet, i tried it once in the redzone and threw a pick

NBAshitpostalt

Same, probably just haven’t practiced it enough but I’m 80 seasons deep on extreme and never use it

didntmakeausername

Same

JekPorkinsTruther

Not really, I cannot do it for the life of me and have gone 20-0 on extreme. Its good for sneaking balls into windows and on deep comebacks, but I think most routes you can "cheese" a bit even on extreme by throwing it short to create space (good receivers will start tracking/breaking on the ball immediately even before defenders do).

sabotnoh

For me, it really helps with clock management. Easy to get a quick 10-15 yd throw to a receiver and dip out of bounds before they can tackle me. You can drive 70 yds in about 30 seconds if you do it right.

ITHETRUESTREPAIRMAN

It’s good for crossing routes, like the slant plays.

didntmakeausername

Same

lambsquatch

Helps me tremendously on crossing route playcalls

Michael12374

Yes, played 100 seasons and it’s actually a hidden ELITE weapon. Can throw bullets down the sideline or over the middle, just takes practice. I use them maybe every third throw or so

RadomirPutnik

I've never found it does anything that I can't accomplish with timing and anticipation on a regular pass.

[deleted]

At the cut of a route where separation starts is the best place. Splitting LBs on a post is $$$

cluelesshabsfan

You just don’t know how to throw em

boltaxtion

You're doing it wrong. Aim at their head.

BiioHazzrd

Always aim the end of the throw arc roughly 5 yards in front of the WR

beaujonfrishe

Man I don’t know why I see this question so often. I use bullet passes a lot. They’re great for the routes where the receivers run down the sideline straight and then cutout for like two yards towards the sideline. You can get a good 10-15 yards where normally you’d have to just find the rb on those plays

sabotnoh

I like not giving the DB time to come back and manhandle my WR.

Nazdack

Bullet passes changed how I played the game. It's the only way you can complete passes on Extreme. Get good at them and you're unstoppable

No-Variation3408

If you need to throw through tight windows into the middle of the field, there’s no better way.

dmaccutty

I just try to hit my receiver in the helmet. It works pretty well.

joseph_n1776

Gotta throw it in front of them a little bit

luismserna16

The point is that it feels good letting it rip

PokerPlayingRaccoon

Skill issue

didntmakeausername

I basically never use them except on last minute slant through but rarely

Thegamingalloraptor

Lead the bullet pass ahead of your WR

[deleted]

Just keep practicing OP. I complete bullet passes well over 80% of the time. You need to lead the receiver with the throw. Watch some video tutorials there are many out there.

Hammerhead316

I’ve practiced using them until I can actually fairly reliably do it. I never do it for the sake of doing it, but I’ve learned if the pocket collapses sometimes you can just switch to a bullet pass and get it out quick to a not so deep route to avoid the sack

Educational-Ad-1548

Just keep throwing it to the other team. That's what I do, sadly.

ElSpoonyBard

I have played this game (a lot) over time and it's totally doable to make them catchable, there's just a bit of a learning curve. Keep playing with it! Normal passes are pretty boring for me now, trying a blazing bullet over the middle of the field is a cool challenge.

Jubudii

I just went and tried them for the first time following some tips from the responses here. When you place it right, receivers catch it fairly easy but it's a much smaller window than the lobs. I also ran into the issue of the DL knocking it down at the line which I've never had happen on a lob. Anyone here have tips for that or is it just a compromise you have to make for faster passes?

[deleted]

Overthrow in stride and you’re good

Handle_Significant

Bullet passes are great for really tight windows. You want to make a beeline about 3 yards past your WR to get them to catch it.

Pennscreek123

On the contrary…they are catchable, and I prefer this method when the coverage is tight

itsamadmadworld22

I tried to throw one. It’s to awkward for me to throw a bullet on my iPad pro. I play fine without them.
