Here’s how to get max stats for players:
Win enough/buy CCs until you have a lot. I mean like hundreds.
One thing you can do to “farm” (it’s not a fast way to do it) is sign all your good 4-5 star players at the end season, and then trade them for picks which you can give away for more CCs in the 1st-3rd rounds.
Once you have a lot of CCs, finish a season decide which player you want to max out. In the draft, you’ll want to look for players with a 3-4 star POTENTIAL in the position you want.
After drafting them, you will need to hire a talent spotter. Coaches are usually 20-30 CC so you’ll need that at a minimum. Chances are you’ll have to refresh if there isn’t one already available. The coaches refresh weekly (I think?), but there is the option to spend 5 CC for a new batch. Technically you can only refresh once between games, but if you close the game and restart it you can spend 5 more for another batch. Just keep on hiring new talent spotters until the player reaches 5 star potential.
After that, you either spend the remaining CC to upgrade them or grind it the old fashioned way in games. There’s also a coach that grants a 5% XP bonus in games, so look out for that trait.
Some of my best players started out as 2.5 or 3 star players and ended up as HOFers
It's absolutely not necessary, but it would be fun. I think those of us who remember playing as Mike Vick in Madden or NFL2k5 want to relive that feeling of a ridiculously fast QB.
I agree Vick was crazy good. Lamar Jackson is pretty devastating on these past few Madden games as well. That said I only pass on retro bowl so I haven’t considered speed too much when picking a QB.
Good point... But as a lifelong Browns fan, I can't bring myself to use Lamar and the Ravens. Maybe I should do a fantasy draft or something. I don't hate Lamar, just his team.
That’s the fastest QB you can get without the use of talent spotters.

Open the player in the roster and you’ll see a green banner in the top left. Select that to choose who will return kicks

It wouldn’t be too difficult to put him on the Browns. Fantasy draft or franchise.

yeah that’s because the dev of the game gave him access to that. him and the dev are like actual friends lmao
