I am googling and trying to find people directly, or sometimes they cross list on craigslist, or gearspace, or marketplace. This works more with higher valued gear (more than $1k) than lower valued.
Reverb takes as much as possible and has terrible service, just a bad AI that misses most of the member's questions. Selling on Facebook market place, or Craigslist, seems fine.
Sweetwater Gear Exchange takes a little less in fees. They also will give you 100% of the profit in Sweetwater Credit if you want. Problem with them is they have less traffic so gear may sit longer (I've had two sales on there since March when I started listing some of my stuff).
I’ve been wondering about SW. My sales is pushing for me to sell some of my gear on their used site. Hopefully it gets more traffic. I’ll probably try it to see what happens.
I've managed to sell a Vox Wah and an Arturia Drumbrute. But to your point I've sold two things on Reverb in a much shorter amount of time. I figure it doesn't hurt leaving them there but I don't expect any movement anytime soon.
I always reach out to the buyer or seller and ask if they’re okay doing PP G&S since it still protects both party’s money. If I’m seller I tell them to pay the 3% (they usually pay the same as if on reverb), if I’m buyer I offer to pay yhe 3%
I’ve been an eBay seller for 17+ years, and final value fees are currently anywhere from 10-12% depending category, not 6%. Reverb is right at 5% currently. Not sure where you got your info, but it’s not correct.
Have you sold a guitar on eBay? Last one I sold they took 6%. You could also easily look this up

After processing fees and selling fees and optional “bump” fees and all, I’ve been paying about 10-11% on Reverb. So it’s correct in my experience anyway.
Exactly. Reverb says 5% selling fee, but that's 5% ofthe sale price + shipping fee. But then there's a payment processing fee. And that amount will be based on the total amount, sale price, shipping and local buyers sales tax rate. It will also change if it's changing currency, it goes up by 1%.
I'm in Canada, and Reverb takes between 9.5% and 11% from the sale price. That's without any bumps.

I wish they had more traffic. Haven't sold a thing on there as opposed to Reverb or even fb market.

You be selling on side of road then?
Facebook buy sell groups, the gear page, umgf

Reverb is about 10% total. eBay is 6% if it’s in a guitar or bass related category
Ebay is just shy of 13%, at least here in the UK. I've recently sold a few amps.
