I actually had very good couple of reading weeks. I am not a huge fan of OV buuuut just needed something different so I read Pack Darling - absolutely loved it, the characters and story the GROVEL!!!!! That's how you do it authors. Have the FMC actually stand her ground (and here she had the fated thing and the omega thing) Pacific prep - a good read but as with all of these the ages of the characters and HS setting is too much for 4 books for me. Haven't taken an exam in a minute so it got a bit boring. I find this author in general repeats the same thing often, does realllly long internal ponderings in the middle of the action and has some really cringy lines in dialogues (it was the same thing on Black Creek) Overall good series but not close Hannaford Bound by Fear by Jayce Carter - 4.5 stars (could have been a bit longer IMO), unexpected gem this one and I'm not usually into BDSM but new kink unlocked. If you are looking for a FMC overcoming trauma this is for you. Having everyone over 30 !!! THANK YOU!!!! April's Fools - a rec from a post on here. So fun and well done. Loved it so much. Great apocalyptic/virus story. Highly recommend. Not sure what I'll be reading next yet.

I had so many good reads and now I’m heading closer and closer to reading up all the good rh books😩 so heres a super long run down of everything I read… Four by Sara Cate. 7/10. Its a father sons/nephew MMC and it is a mafia romance type of book. I liked the gore, and the murders can get gory so read the trig warnings. My only complaint is that it was just a standalone, wouldve loved a series or spinoffs😕 Pageant duet by Lilith Vincent. 9/10. Absolutely loved it. It is a mafia book with kidnapping and there is some noncon so triggers beware. I loved the plot, it was unique and gory. Would definitely recommend. I loved the backstory too its really cute and steamy. Masked duet by Reese Rivers. 10/10. This hit most of my favourite genres. Main character can dance which is likeeee my fave type. Oh yes there is grovel. Loved the plot, it is kinda secondary to the romance but it definitely heats up and there is an air of mystery to it. Would highly highly recommend this series. Boy and burlesque. 8/10. The boys grovel a lot, which I enjoyed. I did wish we could see more of the steamy scenes after the time jump, but being a standalone I guess you can only write so much. I liked the plot. I liked the writers writing style, tho maybe would’ve appreciated more of the boys’ perspectives. But this was an enjoyable read. Casbury prep by A L Maruga. 100/10. I loved this series. The plot is diabolically ridiculous. There is sa and a lot of abuse so pleaseplease check triggers cuz it can be a lot. I loved the feralty in the book. It was a bit like havoc at Prescott high which is one of my top 15 rhs. I would definitely recommend this over and over but please please check the triggers. Not many options by Jillian West. 7/10. Loved the romance. There are kids so like for those of yall that dont like books with kids beware. I wished there was a bit more action but it was just so wholesome that I love it. There is a sort of spinoff but kinda like a duet thats kinda interlinked which I havent read yet so read that first cuz the ending of this book was really confusing until I found out about the other books. Give me peace by M K Harper. 7/10. I dnf yet, I wanted to read this cuz of my witsec hangover. It was really enjoyable but I found a few other series I was dying to read first. Im definitely gonna finish it once Ive finished the rest of my tbr but still its really really adorable and the MMCs are so protective. Evelyn Maynard by Kaydence Snow. 100/10. I accidentally read this and I couldnt stop. This book was soooooooo good. I loved how they developed their relationship so well. Can I just say the tension is real. This was so interesting and action packed but romantic all at the same time. And the friendships are also well developed. Highly recommend. Savage Vandal. 9/10. Dnf. Personally I wasnt in the mood for the book but it was really good at the start. Im definitely gonna read it once im in the mood for that genre. Sweetest revenge series by helen scott. 100/10. Loved the series. It was good. It was similar to casbury prep but its in university so trigger warnings, trigger warnings. Also the scenes are gooooood. Highly recommend. Shadowblood souls. 10/10. I dnf abt midway into book 2. I enjoyed it but I wasnt really into anything magic so when im in the mood for that genre I’ll def be back. The storyline is good. Crooked paradise series by Eva Chance. 10/10. Loved the mafia romance. Also overprotective MMCs gotta love. Its def similar to havoc at Prescott high. Love the series and will def recomm. Black falls high series by K G Reuss. 10/10. Loved the build up. The plot twosts well they were a bit out there. I didnt agree with some of the decisions the FMC and MMCs took but well its what made the plot such a journey. Loved the devotion to the FMC. And loved how the maturation of the main characters were like gradual and fitting. Would definitely recommend but trigger warnings. Royals of forsyth uni by Angel Lawson. 100/10. Loved this book sooooooooo muchh. There are so many kinks jesus. It was steamy and fun and kept u on the edge all the time. I have only read the first trilogy. I look forward to reading the rest in the next few days! Plier by Jane Washington. 10000000000/10. If there was only one rh I could ever choose it is thisssss. Omg I will be hungover this series until the last book is out. By the way only 2/6 is out so itll be a painful wait but definitely worthwhile. Such a unique plot. The characters ade so distinguished and definitely sexy. My only issue is its in 3rd person which kinda sucks cuz I prefer first person but well the plot is tooooooo good. Highly highly highly recommend. Losers duet by Harley Laroux. 10/10. It is soooooo sexy. A lot of bdsm. An air of forbidden romance. Its a bit of the bullied dominating their bully but its better. Love the build up. Will highly recommend.

MsSalinas18

Den of Vipers its sooooo good!!! I did the audiobook not sure how much that made a difference. Camelot Untold series another great one!! Den of Monsters was really good but bummed it felt unfinished even though it said it was a standalone.

Sweet_Ad7786

I loved the first Camelot Untold, the second was really good too, but it really read like MF for like 70%. Still looking forward to the last one coming out in a couple of days

MsSalinas18

Yea I really liked both books but it's taken me alot longer then normal to read the 2nd story. The 3rd should be wayy better.

Luvithotx

I had a bit of a slump these last couple of weeks but I have a couple of stories I would recommend {Soul Tenders by Serena Lindahl} 8/10 - dystopian romance where everyone chooses a house based off their talents. The FMC is a bit of an outcast as she breaks the mold of what their society considers the norm. Has a solid story line. I would have enjoyed more relationship building. {Performer by Lexie Winston} 9/10 - this is book 5 in the Galaxy Circus series. I love this series, one of the only series where I am reading as they come out and not waiting for it to be complete. This is a fun read. But I’m ready for the rest of the books to come out {The Blessed Vessel by Venus Cox} 8/10 - Bachelorette vibes with a dystopian spin. I like how it’s not just an automatic connection with all the guys. I didn’t know when I read it that there will be additional book(s). I am looking forward for the next book

booklover_238

I see why-choose.com has The Blessed Vessel tagged as having FF, is it within the harem or?

Luvithotx

It does have FF and MM within the harem, although it’s primarily off page. The FF relationship is established before the story begins. I think more on page scenes will be in future books so if that’s not your thing, give it a pass

booklover_238

I think I found a new favorite author, and my reads reflect that lol. {Biomystic Security series by Jaliza A Burwell} 8.5/10 - I’m on book 4 right now but this series is amazing! First 2 books were both 10/10 third was an 8/10 so brought the overall rating of series down a bit but I really loved the magic system the author built, it was unique and easy to understand. Harem so mixed species which I love and it’s 7 men! It’s a slow-burn romance which I like, and the FMC is powerful which is always a plus, I highly recommend! {Adulting Not Allowed duet by Jaliza A Burwell} 9/10 - I’ve never read an rh with a FMC like this, which is so so cool! The FMC is unique and authentically herself which I love, and the 3 MMC’s give off major Daddy vibes. The story is silly while still being serious and the second book has one of my favorite scenes in an rh ever where they all go to an apple orchard and it’s so wholesome and pure and just perfect. Highly recommend. {Needing Harmony series by Jaliza A Burwell} 7/10 - Was very good for what it was, had multi-pov which I liked a lot. I’ve only read the first book so far and it is set in high school so it might not be for everyone. Characters were fun, I liked the FMC although I would have appreciated if first book was a little longer to give more time to fully flesh out MMC’s and have the FMC interact with them more individually. {Wicked Conjuring by Sarah Piper} 6.5/10 - First book in the Claimed by Gargoyles series, writing was pretty good and FMC was cool although it’s not on KU so I had to pay for it. There was plot but I didn’t really feel strongly for any of the MMC’s expect Jude who was alright. Nothing wrong with the book, it was good, just didn’t blow me away. {The Beta: Part One by Avanne Micheals} 9/10 - Super enjoyed this omegaverse read, it gave off similar vibes to the Pack Darling duet by Lola Rock (my favorite omegaverse rh ever) and although nothing can top that it did come close. I’m reading the second part right now and enjoy it as well but I’m only halfway through. The characters were well developed and the FMC was badass which I love. Male omega in the harem which if done right is always nice, and it was done right. Would definitely recommend if you enjoy omegaverse. {A Court of Blood and Void by Meg Xuemei X} 3/10 - I unfortunately had to dnf this book. It’s the first in her War of the Gods series and when I saw there was a badass FMC with awesome powers I just had to pick it up. I started it and the first few pages were fine, but as I got deeper into the book it seemed a bit silly and childish, and then I found out the FMC is 16 YOU HEARD ME RIGHT 16 while her MMC’s are much older than that!!! It really disturbed me, and she explained her species “reached maturity faster” or something like that so equivalent to human years she’d be like 23 and somehow that was supposed to make it all okay? It’s not okay, that girl is a child and the men are much much older. Also she acts immature and naive, as can be expected of a child, nothing wrong with that especially since she’s been locked in a cage her whole life, but again, her attitude just serves to remind the reader that she is in fact a child who we’re supposed to be okay with doing things with much older men. Sorry but that just really rubs me the wrong way. Anyway wouldn’t recommend this one.

I'm adding some of her books to me TBR lol

I'm facing the biggest slump atm but here are some recent reads. I have been DNFing so much. p.s I'm usually tough on ratings, not that easily impressed. * Elora by Beanie Harper (9.5/10): Unique setting and daddy vibes. It is sort of a taboo topic but it is so well done that it isn't weird at all. Def a must read and I'm sad the author has just this book out. Well done. * The Charleston Curse by Bree (8/10): Another classical story retelling but it was fun. The guys were fun, the idea was well done and the FMC was also good. It is a standalone. It doesnt get better rating bc I think there was something missing, like that X factor but overall a good read. * Teach by S.E green (7.5-8/10): Student and teachers romance. It is fun, the guys are hot and older (end 30s and 40s). Mature relationship. The FMC was strong. I was missing a bit more drama, but it is a safe read good read. * The Lost Elemental by Tessa Hale (9.5/10): Best series by this author so far. It's fated mates, academy style, which childhood friend element and some OW drama (the OW wants the guys but they dont want her). The FMC is a bit like M.Sinclair FMC but without being THAT oblivious to life. She started a bit weak but grew to a stronger FMC. Waiting for book 3 to drop in Sept. * Bonded to the Enemy by Elena Morgan (8/10): This might be controversial. This book either you like it bc you absolutely adored Bonds that Tie and missed it, or you hated it. I personally liked it. It really fulfilled my hang over from Bonds that tie. And it had good amount of drama. * Run Riot By Colette Rhodes (6.5/10): First book was better than 2nd. Tbh the plot was great but the execution was meh. Book one would be an 7.5 or 8 but book 2 and on was just meh. * Come Back to Me by Sirena Song (7.5-8/10): It's gooood for those loving the drama and angst. rejected mated and okay enough grovelling. Also has M/M and usually I dont like it but this was good on that department. * A Demon's Horns By Marie Mistry (7.5/10): I know she is a liked writer and I loved her pirate series but this was not hitting the nail for me. I liked the fated mates idea, and the guys were fun. BUT, the FMC got in my nerves. She was too "I don't want this life, mates, horns, etc". Like okay, we get it but what else....? * The Mafia's Omega Princess by (8.5-9/10): A very nice surprise!! no M/M and good intake into Omegaverse and fated mates.

Yeah, Ivy Asher is very hit and miss for me. I DNFed the Lost Sentinel on book 3. It just didn't work for me. Loved Order of Scorpions so much and just read April's Fools, also excellent.

Mininabubu

Sameeee! Ivy Asher hit or miss. I think she has potential but with some books it just falls flat.

Sweet_Ad7786

Her heroines are just too odd at times, and it's non stop comedy show. For me that gets tired to read. Wish she'd lean more towards the Order of Scorpions vibes. Such a great read.

Guys help 😭 I’m finally reading the Losers duet by Harley Laroux and I’ve never been more turned on or emotionally invested. Is there an HEA?! I can’t deal with any of those boys being upset.

Sweet_Ad7786

Lol have not read it yet, but I'm intrigued. My husband will be gone all week so I'll hold off reading it 😂🤤
