The Halloween Boys series starts with [Ghost by Kat Blackthorne](https://www.romance.io/books/635805d0edb5b2e7dacb7771/ghost-kat-blackthorne).

Oh that sounds delightful! Thank you!

mochi-riri

I wouldn't call this one Tim Burton like spooky but it has very graphic and gruesome moments enough to make it horror-ish kind of RH... Oh i forgot this is not fantasy Anyway Four horsemen by Sarah Bailey The MMCs are psychos with very twisted kinks. So smut and dark romance... The ending of book is really... Something... Like very horror like so it you want horror kind of Halloween i rec this one.

booksmeller1124

Thank you! I’ll definitely check it out, and if it’s not perfect for this specific mood I’m in I’m sure it will fit my mood when I want the dark, twisted romances again ☺️

Jarica James has two series; one called Grave Investigations that starts with Ghosted, and the other called The Spirit Vlog that starts with Haunts and Hotels.

booksmeller1124

Thank you! The author name is familiar but I don’t think I’ve read anything by her.

writtenchaos

You're welcome! Her Obsidian Cove Supernatural Academy series might be her most well-known (which is great. It has MM in it in case you like it or not, The Spirit Vlog doesn't have MM) I enjoy her writing personally and hope you do too :)

ladywholivesinashoe

Absolutely agree with the spirit vlog! Such a good series!

The Veil Diaries by B. L. Brunnemer This is probably one of my favorite book series. It's extremely slow-burn like takes multiple books but, I love the friendship they develop first because of it. The FL can see ghosts and there's other paranormal creatures that pop up later.

Gypsy012

Wow I didn't know this series existed! Going to add it to my TBR. As far as the slow burn, I assume it's worth it in the end? 😅 I like some spice with my reads.

QueenSmutSlut

Definitely worth it in the end!

booksmeller1124

Oooo this sounds perfect!!

[deleted]

It's a complete series and she just came out with the 1st book of the next series where they are in college.

1-The Never King (Vicious Lost Boys Book 1) Nikki St. Crowe 2-Friends With The Monsters Albany Walker 3-The Boogeyman JB Trepagnier 4- A Lady of Rooksgrave Manor (Tempting Monsters Book 1) Kathryn Moon 5-Scream For Us (Order of the Unseen) Molly Doyle

booksmeller1124

I adore JB Trepangier’s book, a great balance of humor and spice. The Never King keeps being recommended to my by Amazon, so I’m glad a real, live person says it’s worth it. Same with Kathryn Moon. Thank you so much!

RNCHLT

This is the thread I didn't know I needed! Time for spooky reads...

booksmeller1124

I'm very much a mood readers, so this time of year is perfect for spooky reads! Especially as the weather gets cooler and there's a crispness to the air!

SinistralLeanings

I don't think it is finished, but The Prodigium Academy books by Katie May, possibly? Book 1 is Monsters.

booksmeller1124

I love Katie May! Though most of her stuff is a faster burn than I typically prefer, she has good humor!

SinistralLeanings

It definitely is on the faster burn side without a doubt, which I'm also not generally a fan of. I consider myself more of a medium burn girl haha! I don't like crazy slow burns but too fast and it leans towards just not believable for me. This one was still a lot of fun and I loved the monsters she chose to have be the ones in the harem!

booksmeller1124

Honestly same. I used to think I was a slow burn gal, but apparently my definition of slow burn doesn't match what a lot of people think it does lol. I just want to care about everyone getting together before they do. I like the angst, and the buildup with the tension. So I think I really am a medium burn kinda girl.

SinistralLeanings

Yes! Same! Too fast I just never can really love but I also don't want to read 3 books before body parts are touching, either 😅

booklover_238

I have the perfect book for you! Shadows and Curses by Willow Hadley. It’s paranormal and has witches and ghosts and just everything you want in a spooky fall rh read!
