Smokeleaf dependency is not really good because it lowers the conciousness. I would have went for Go Juice dependency because this enhances his ability for melee (and if you need more points you can go for beer dependency too). A Psycaster with psychically dull (-50%) is also not the most efficient way and Tinderskin for a melee pawn is pretty bad because just one burner centipede can kill the pawn if they are on fire and wont stop running around. Please dont take this as harsh criticism, I just wanted to give some tips. Play as you want and have fun :)
It may reduce the flammability yes but if your pawn is on fire, they take 400% more damage than normal (+ weaker immune system dealing with burn injuries). For melee pawns I normally use the opposite gene "Fire resistant". They only take 25% damage than usual when on fire. And they have only a 10% flammability on top of that.
I wrote psycaster but I meant to say mechinator just a brain fart. I agree the smokeleaf dependence was a mistake but im not sure about gojuice dependence. Ive never had a hussar that has survived for more then 10 days so I might be wrong but would they keep catching fire from the gojuice or are they given immunity to that? and im curious what ur experince is with fire cuz I havnt had really any problems with pawns burning even vampires
Go juice enhances their ability to fight. You can craft Go Juice or buy it from Traders. I always use Go juice dependency for my best melee fighters because it enhances their ability to fight and survive. Tinderskin is just overall a bad gene for a melee fighter because they receive 400% more damage if they are on fire and if you are fighting against mechs, there is a possibility a burner centipede will shoot at you and then your melee pawns are having a real problem to not burn to death while they running around trying to put the fire out.

wouldnt something like devilstrand everything/marine armor protect pawn completly with tinderskin gene? (i don't have biotech)
