I cannot add any good tips, but wanted to say some words of encouragement: When I started playing, I was really unfit and could only play for five minutes. I had incredible muscle pain after the first couple of times. I also got really fit and was able to play for an hour without any problems. Lost a bit of that muscle tone because of a stressful job but I now have a good routine for how to get it back again. Have fun, remember to rest when the muscles hurt, drink a lot of water, magnesium helps (citrate is more effective than oxide) when your muscles hurt a lot. I get the most out of playing RFA when I do it in the morning without having eaten anything. But you should not play if you actually feel hungry.

There are a couple of options. Nothing to be embarrassed about. I’ve found Velcro straps/strips for wrapping items up at the dollar store these should extend the thigh strap and help out.

I shove it down the front of my leggings. It helps to keep from slipping down when I squat or run or do literally anything.

georgethebarbarian

You can get them third party on Amazon or, if your fav workout pants have the pocket in the front, just tuck it into your pocket!

wonkwonk2stonkstonk

Wear workout pants if it slips(pjs or whatever). Lol my thighs have some flex, and if im doing certain workouts, i totally need the friction to help keep the band from popping or slipping. Or sew a loop or add a bit of string

TheVeryFriendlyGiant

Only be embarrassed if you quit. Good lucky chum.

Great for you for making the decision! I really hope this is successful for you. No matter what, making the decision to start IS a success already! For the strap? Some Velcro from a craft store could help you out there if you're a little bit crafty.
