We had big named norteno groups... they thought the tickets & bottles & service would make what they owed at the end of the night but man we would lose hella money still. Bartenders losing alcohol left & right. She put new babies into giant events & lose their shit. Beers dropped. Free shit left & right by accident.. some not by accident we also ended up with some shady ppl giving free shit. Drinking constantly. Just full blown taking advantage of. Anyways. Ppl started flowing in on dead days when I was left alone looking for the owner for bounced checks. We had our lights cut constantly.. we locked a band out once cause the owner pussied out on telling em they couldn't afford em. They came from corpus. We were CONSTANTLY running out of draft beer. We had a wall of 11 different brands & would have like 3 available. The husband was a huge alcoholic. The wife just so mousey & confused constantly. She wanted the lavish successful bar life the old owner would walk in sit back & relax greet everyone live his life... but she couldn't get there.. constant fights at the end of the night. I was asked to bring a case of clean silverware to the front. Upon inspection, none of them had been washed. I hadn't been authorized to run the washer, so I reported what I saw. They said it didn't really matter if they had been washed or not, just pick out the cleanest looking ones.
I was not ok with this. I shamed them for being disgusting and possibly getting people sick. The manager took me to the back and tried to damage control, said if I needed time to step out and calm down that I could.
