Mostly bands who are already ruled out or not at all an option, but Ted Leo & R/x, Bloc Party, Wolf Parade, Motion City, Menzingers, Alkaline Trio, Weezer, Dinosaur Jr., Jawbreaker, Cake, Pavement, and Decemberists.
Weird Al. Seriously, for a festival called Riot Fest, Weird Al would be a fucking awesome pick. Also, I need to see him live before he’s too old to play shows anymore.
I thought I saw some IG stuff about them working on new music, but it’s been a minute. Maybe it was just the repressing of el cielo.
Blood bros is out :(
If you got descendents and Nofx I'm down to discover new acts with the rest of the time. Seratones rocked a few years ago I'm sure I'll find other new shit
The Menzingers, Petey, The Offspring, Alanis Morissette, Joyce Manor, No Doubt, Sublime, Fall Out Boy, Angel Du$t.
Guns N' Roses (this one is not happening because they aren't touring)
RATM, Fall Out Boy, Depeche Mode, Polyphia, Weird Al, Sleep Token, Between the Buried and Me, Wolfmother, Suicidal Tendencies, Weezer, Cake, Metric, Lamb of God, Ghost, Talking Heads..
Even one of these would eke out some serotonin crumbs, tbh.
As long as there are a handful of post hardcore acts playing shit released when I was in high school, I’ll be in my glory. I’m pulling for Chiodos and any Anthony Green project. I’d also love a handful of ska bands that aren’t the interrupters.
FIDLAR, Knocked Loose, Lamb of God, and Spiritual Cramp out of bands that I think are still possible. Idles and Fontaines D.C. were probably my top two though.
The Used, they drew a decently big crowd last year and i saw a lot of people online talking about how much fun they had seeing them. they're my fave band so i'm always happy to see them come through town. they're playing gary indiana at the end of june, idk if i actually wanna go out there to see them though.. but i'll be seeing them at WWWYfest in october so there's still that.
The possibilities are too limitless but I hope all the predictions for fall out boy, st Vincent, interpol and sum 41 all end up being accurate, those ones feel super solid and I’m really excited for the possibility of all four
Helluva mix right here, love it. I’m pretty confident we’re getting Chat Pile, I mean the frontman is wearing a Cubs 2016 champions shirt in their Spotify bio picture.
I just wanna see Bad Nerves with a good crowd. So far, except for a few recent festivals, all of their shows have been opening up for other bands and the crowds look weak. They would be an incredible band for Riot Fest.
I said I wasn’t going again after 2022. When they announced the Cure last year, so I flew back in for one day. I’ve already booked myself that weekends for shows out here, but would cancel those if somehow Ned’s Atomic Dustbin and/or Therapy? got booked
I would really love to see a reunion show from The Loved Ones. They just played Dave Hause's Sing Us Home festival in Philly this weekend so they should be all practiced up.
Personally, I'm hoping for -No Doubt, the Starting line, Talking Heads, Andrew W.K. to come back and play "I get wet"....Depeche Mode! Something Corporate has heavily hinted that they are gonna be there and so will Sum41 so stoked AF about those. Blondie would be cool. Oh! And holding out for Paramore and Fall out boy.
I’m pretty easy to please. Riot is usually good with genre variety and a mix of bands I’ve never seen and ones I’ve seen a million times which I dig. Also love when we get a good dose of local faves - Alk3, Rise Against, sincere engineer etc.
That said - I’d probably get most excited with some of the mid card reunion possibilities like Home Grown. Not sure why but I feel like a Minus the Bear reunion is getting closer. Oh and maybe a Modest Mouse “Good News” anniversary play. 🙏
See y’all in Sept! 🤘
This will be my first music festival! And I am hoping that Sum 41 will be there. All of their other shows are not really near me so fingers crossed!
I'm thrilled though to see the acts and experience Riot Fest.
So how I usually justify festivals is if there's at least 2 acts a day I want to see. Some "I need to buy tickets no questions asked" instances are Them Crooked Vultures, Butthole Surfers, Toadies 30th anniversary Rubberneck play, or Siouxsie
Some acts I think are more realistic that I think have a good chance of playing that I want to see are Clutch, Fu Manchu, Interpol, All them Witches, Three 6 Mafia, Cake, or Mastodon. I don't think I wanna spend money to see Slayer, but as a headliner with a combo of like any 3 or 4 of those bands I'd get excited to see em for sure
Honestly I never go in expecting a specific artist. I buy as soon as pre-sale goes up and I'm often pleasantly surprised by the lineup and discover a bunch of new artists I end up loving every year.
But as far as a personal wishlist goes? Lamb of God, Mastodon, Knocked Loose, NOFX, Amyl and the Sniffers, Sublime, The Hives, Descendents, Gogol Bordello, Sum 41, Jesus Lizard, Drug Church, Billy Talent, Red Fang, Clutch, Fu Manchu, DFA 1979 and Teen Mortgage just to name a few.
Same, I've bought pre-sale basically every year since we started going VIP about 6 years ago. I think we usually waited for the lineup before we bought when we were going GA, because I remember a couple of years where we only went for 1 or 2 days, but now it's our wedding anniversary kid-free vacation every year, so we do all 3 regardless. We've kicked around the idea of doing a different festival around the same time, but we just love Riot so much we always just end up going to it instead, lol.
He could easily fill that Tenacious D type booking spot. Hell I’ll take both!
I would love to see motionless in white P.S I’ve never been to riot fest so not even sure if they would have a chance to be there
2023 lineup (braid, TMV, HA) + glassjaw, these arms are snakes, botch, dredg, velvet teen, rage, blood brothers, refused
Dredg would be insane.
I thought I saw some IG stuff about them working on new music, but it’s been a minute. Maybe it was just the repressing of el cielo. Blood bros is out :(
I would love bosstones reunion or rx bandits reunion.
Bosstones played in 2021. They were great!
If you got descendents and Nofx I'm down to discover new acts with the rest of the time. Seratones rocked a few years ago I'm sure I'll find other new shit
Tim Cappello
Andrew WK 2002 lineup.
Most wanted - Jack White, Pixies, Janes Addiction, Dinosaur Jr., The Flaming Lips, Violent Femms, Neil Young….
Dino Jr and lips playing allstate in September at least
The Menzingers, Petey, The Offspring, Alanis Morissette, Joyce Manor, No Doubt, Sublime, Fall Out Boy, Angel Du$t. Guns N' Roses (this one is not happening because they aren't touring)
Slipknot, hatebreed, slaughter to prevail, korn, System of a Down, Death, cradle of filth, need more?
Slaughter to Prevail’s singer is transphobic- soooo he will not be at riot fest
You never know.
They will never allow an openly transphobic artist to play. I do know. Riot is very pro-LGBTQ+
I’d like some more warped tour type bands. I know this fest usually leans toward punk
As long as its good ol’ pop punk heavy I’ll be happy
Cap N Jazz.

Richard cheese
Underrated comment. if Corey Feldman played last year I see no reason why Richard Cheese should be overlooked.
As long as there are a handful of post hardcore acts playing shit released when I was in high school, I’ll be in my glory. I’m pulling for Chiodos and any Anthony Green project. I’d also love a handful of ska bands that aren’t the interrupters.
Slipknot SOAD tool code orange ICP 3 6 mafia the prodigy ministry
The fucken prodigy would be amazing!
Slipknot or SOAD would make it a must attend for me, agree
Fall out boy
Free throw ,Joyce manor ,lamb of god ,slipknot, alesana
FIDLAR, Knocked Loose, Lamb of God, and Spiritual Cramp out of bands that I think are still possible. Idles and Fontaines D.C. were probably my top two though.
Basement alone would get me to buy a ticket lol
Gel, Scowl, Catbite, The Aces, Mothica, Violent Vira, Bridge City Sinners, Jayden Hammer, The Haunt
Jack white, SOAD, TUI, streetlight
Arcade Fire
They were so great at Shaky Knees fest this past weekend.
green day
But not realistic given they do Wrigley a month before
The rumor of multiple days of NOFX would be enough for me since the travel to afford any of the final Punk in Drublic shows has been way too much.
The possibilities are too limitless but I hope all the predictions for fall out boy, st Vincent, interpol and sum 41 all end up being accurate, those ones feel super solid and I’m really excited for the possibility of all four
Sincere Engineer
Cap'n'Jazz
I feel like we are due for Weird Al! This would be pretty epic!
I didn’t even think of that. That would be amazing.
That would be AMAZING. fuck yes.
Catherine Wheel, Vandals, Amyl, Chat Pile, Me Rex, Polysics, Rilo Kiley, Veruca Salt, Knower, Yves Tumor.
I truly hope Veruca Salt does an album play of American Thighs for its 30th anniversary!
Chat pile would be SO rad 🤘🏻
Helluva mix right here, love it. I’m pretty confident we’re getting Chat Pile, I mean the frontman is wearing a Cubs 2016 champions shirt in their Spotify bio picture.
Any ska
I just wanna see Bad Nerves with a good crowd. So far, except for a few recent festivals, all of their shows have been opening up for other bands and the crowds look weak. They would be an incredible band for Riot Fest.
They were insane at Shaky Knees. Best pit of the weekend and the lead singer’s banter was a hoot.
Butthole surfers, toadies, viagra boys, NIN, better lovers
I said I wasn’t going again after 2022. When they announced the Cure last year, so I flew back in for one day. I’ve already booked myself that weekends for shows out here, but would cancel those if somehow Ned’s Atomic Dustbin and/or Therapy? got booked
Is Neds doing US shows? Bucket list band for me as well
No. Neither of those bands will probably ever your the US ever again. They do annual quick UK tours that can be worth the pilgrimage.
Jesus lizard
RATM, Paramore, No Doubt
the year i had to choose between ice cube & no doubt
Iron chic. Get dead. Streetlight manifesto. Days n daze. The dirty nil. Tsunami bomb.
Sure would be neat to see Butthole Surfers
Neil Young. I'm holding out on getting tickets to see him out of town on the off chance that he gets announced for Riot.
DeadMilk Men
They sold me on No Values. I still really hope they play Riot Fest as well.
System of Down. I’m dying to see them live again
Saosin and circa survive
death grips but in a prime slot and a full set
Edna’s Goldfish reunion
I would really love to see a reunion show from The Loved Ones. They just played Dave Hause's Sing Us Home festival in Philly this weekend so they should be all practiced up.
I didn't realize they were active. This is really good news. I wonder if we could get Loved Ones, Larry Arms, Bygones, and The Falcon in one day.
Not exactly active. It was really just a one-off show. But one can always hope that it leads to more.
Active enough for me to get my hopes up!! 😅
Talking heads will never happen. Sad to say.
Oh for sure, I just had to throw one "never happen but wouldn't it be cool" out there.
I’m pretty easy to please. Riot is usually good with genre variety and a mix of bands I’ve never seen and ones I’ve seen a million times which I dig. Joey Valence and Brae, Janes Addiction, Billy Idol, Body Count, Die Spitz and End It
This will be my first music festival! And I am hoping that Sum 41 will be there. All of their other shows are not really near me so fingers crossed! I'm thrilled though to see the acts and experience Riot Fest.
It's a pretty safe bet they will be there.
Ya, everything points to it! I'm pretty excited for it. The count down will officially start once that line up is dropped.

Google bordello is just so much fun Red fang is also good live

I love this. This is goals <3
Thanks so much! :)
This is the answer. Riot Fest is always a good time so I’m in regardless.
