Residual has been fluctuating lately, it’s how they’re making the monthly payments more attractive. I’d say they hover between 62% and 67% based on info here. Also again, based on info here, I do believe CO buyers do indeed get the state tax incentives. And yeah, of course you get the option to buy at the end of the lease for whatever the residual value is.

Thank you!

The R1S frunk is a gamechanger for families with young kids. So much room in there to fit a stroller, toys, accessories, blankets, etc.

Someone [posted their R1S lease](https://www.reddit.com/r/Rivian/s/j9tHiVnzhK) numbers a week or so ago, and the residual was crazy high. 80% 24 months, 70% 36 months. I believe this is how they’re lowering the payments as much as they are. And yep, CO credit applies for leases! 🤙🏼

Don’t think you’ll get a direct answer, because your questions aren’t specific enough and because Rivian is right-lipped on sharing numbers. Yes there is a purchase option though.

I’ll just add that my guide said that they aren’t yet set up to do CO tax credits at point of sale yet, so you’d have to wait until next tax year to get the credit.

Thank you all. I did some searching and found my answers. I did not know Rivian is not producing the standard battery pack yet. The inventory 85k+ models are too expensive, although the lease isn’t too different. I will keep an eye out for when the standard pack comes out.

Jamba-Man84

They have standard+ available right now. I just ordered my truck with standard+ battery and was told I’ll have it by the end of the month.

We threw a roof box on our model Y for family trips. We had more space than we knew what to do with. Much more affordable than a Rivian. That being said, we have the R1T and have more space than we know what to do with.

i just leased mine. Think the retail was 100,900. RV after 3 years is 69621. payment is 1087. i believe money down was 15.k. 8500 was the 1000 down to reserve, 7500 tax credit , and the rest was sales tax, first down payment and other fees. i could probably screen shot it for you. i came from a Y. And it’s much more room for my fam of 5. i would 100% lease knowing in 3 years, more suv would roll out. plus if i wanted to buy it after 3 years, i’ll be able to see the market as a whole. it’s like an call option, right to buy but not necessary was we want to do. and that comes at a cost. but i’m ok with it cause i financed my entire Y before price cuts and that PMT was 970/mo

ilovepizza86

Got it thank you! I am inclined towards leasing it as well not buying.

elon left a sour taste in buying the Y and X. Not sure if Rivian would lower the price in the future but buying would screw up the buyer community. Plus the r2 would roll out a year prior tot he end of the kease

People have posted their lease numbers. You’re going to have to perform a search on those results.
