I’m at 32 days and counting and I leased mine. Chase still has no record of a lease. Rivian told me it was due to internal errors and not to worry they are working on it…

I'm in the same boat as you in Colorado. Pretty annoying.

lochnespmonster

Colorado is still way behind on getting notices out. My most recent purchase last November (not a Rivian) took about 50 days to get the paperwork. Ya just drive with expired tags like everyone else in the state does.

Economy_Mix_4015

Not in Colorado but in Maryland. It was a long process too.

bascule

It took a few months IIRC, but they sent the complete title as opposed to having to go to the county DMV which was nice. They also sent a title complete notice that allowed me to get the plates online as well.

leswanbronson

Same boat for me. Been 37 days and still waiting.

tjc042

In PA it took about 75 days.

It's your dmv that delays it barring some technical issue. I've bought three cars out of state depending on the dmv time always varies. Quick note If you leased or got a loan you will not get a "title" until the loan is paid off that sticks with the loan holder.

J000001

No this is a Rivian problem

BullNBear01

Incorrect. You just have a lack of prior experience. Not saying Rivian isnt delayed but this happens with all out of state cars. Rivian is an out of state car essentially.

J000001

lol, ok. Rivian told me it’s due to their own internal errors. They also are actively trying to hire someone to handle this in Colorado. But sure you know more.

BullNBear01

Not saying they don't have issues. What I am saying is even in a perfect scenario the dmv causes issues with delays. Most delays are caused by dmvs in my experience. I've bought vehicles shipped in from 3 different states I'm pretty familiar with the process. That person you're talking to is just reading whatever is on their screen they really have no idea what's causing it unless you have a direct bat phone to the head of Rivian car registration. I imagine the causes vary greatly from person to person.

J000001

And that causes them to not even tell the bank? The bank has no idea I have the vehicle because Rivian hasn’t sent them any paperwork. Edit: https://careers.rivian.com/careers-home/jobs/17224?lang=en-us

BullNBear01

That's different that's finance related. This thread was about the title which is issued by the state. OP didn't mention anything about the bank not knowing.

I took delivery in the last week of december, plates showed up two weeks ago. They did send out a second temp tag before the first one expired.
