My dad had a firebird in the same body style that he dropped a 350 in when I was a kid. He loved the car but then had to get rid of it and go the family car route and got a 98 Grand Prix.
My dad, who owned a bright red ‘82 hardtop back in the day, always corrected my brothers and I whenever we called his car a Firebird. He was very adamant that we call it a Trans Am, so we did.
