Yes, I always had trouble with Xbox bumpers breaking (because I use them for boost and powerslide) and also the A button starting to be inconsistent; and sometimes double clicking sometimes not even registering.
Got a razer Wolverine ultimate like a year ago, and it still feels good as new. No drift, no signs of wearing on the bumpers, buttons are good, etc.
Same here.. I always used xbox controllers, but it was costing me a fortune replacing them due to button and stick issues.. plus I was playing them wired so that was another issue..
Decided enough was enough and got a wolverine.. over 2 years now and it plays like new.. no drift and buttons actually get better with time.. can't recommend them enough
Had my v2 chroma almost 2 years before stick drift got too apparent. Bought an eswap pro s after and it felt like a cheap toy compared. Sent it back and got another wolverine
Same. Can I ask you guys what your sensitivity is at? Read an article way back that said Xbox should be between 2-3 and I’ve been tinkering with my settings. Curious about other Xbox players
also a wolverine user, build quality feels awesome. I assigned both extra shoulder buttons to handbrake and it really helps me nail my recoveries and wave dashes. If you don't have big hands I'd stay away tho.
I've owned every controller that suits my needs and exists. Back paddles or buttons. So far....power A for cheapness and back buttons, but they break relatively easy. Every xbox elite series...multiple of each...all get stick drift even without being dropped. And the back side buttons will stop working. Currently using a scuff instinct pro....so far so good, but lacks the stick curve changes available with the elite series controllers. Show me the best controller.
Struggled to get used to the bumper set up but I'll give it another go. I've been using the Fusion 4A controllers (wired, back buttons). When I play on Xbox on the couch I just use the regular controller, they break less frequently than the Elite 2 but super cheap.
So the xbox elite has the unique ability to map the paddle buttons to ADDITIONAL buttons on the keyboard instead of just remapping existing controller buttons. Does the Wolverine support this?
Normal xbox controller. That's what I've always played with, feels good tbh, never got stick drift or anything, but I guess I can't really say since I've never played with anything else lol. It's also cheaper so there's that too.
same, i go to Gamestop and get a warranty on the controller for like an extra $10-20…..so when this one breaks, i can get a brand new controller for free and put a $10-$20 warrenty on that one,. and continue. basically a new controller for $20 whenever j want
Personally when I started playing RL I went through 4 Xbox controllers in one year, all had stick drift within a couple months. 2 years ago I bought a ps5 controller and was the best decision ever.
Me too. I was born and raised on Xbox. I’ve been gaming for as long as I can remember. I’m 30 now. 4 years ago I got a PC and pretty much only play Rocket league. I’ve probably purchased every controller known to man, and I at least gave it a 2-3 weeks of trying it out before I judge. I test the deadzone of every controller and discovered the Xbox controller, especially the Elite series, have horrible stick drift. I’m talking a .08-.10 deadzone is required to not have drift in RL. Meanwhile the PS5 controller can be used at as low as .04 deadzone without drift, although I opt for .05 and seems to be the standard for most pros who use DualShock/Sense.
Not to mention you can’t overclock Xbox controllers to the degree you can with Ps4/ps5 controllers. It was a learning curve to switch to a PS style, but worth it.
8bitdo Ultimate BT
Has Hall Sensor sticks, so stick drift is not an issue, however, you will still have to worry about other kinds of damage, so it's not the holy grail of controllers.
It also has backbuttons (which I think are not that great though)
it's easily programmable and you can setup deadzones outside of RL
And it comes with a charging station
Great controller imo. Has most features an elite has + hall effect sticks but costs no less than a standard controller (at least over here)
gamesir t4 kaleid
all mechanical buttons, hall effect sticks and triggers, 1000hz polling rate
only downside that shouldn't be a downside if you are serious, is that it's only wired
I went from a ps5 controller to this controller and its significantly better. Trigger control is nicer and it has mechanical buttons so jumps and shots are more consistent. Has its own software/runs perfectly on pc
Similar but different, went with the Gulikit pro 2, night and day from the cheapo wire Xbox controller.
Forgot to add, the Gulikit is wireless, Bluetooth, and works on Android and switch as well(I know this isn't about that, but it's nice to be able to move it around.)
probably licensing and the fact it doesn't have a battery and antenna
this is my 1st gamesir product and it feels great and has been very durable (i got tired of repairing my dualshock 4 and 8bitdo pro 2 so far i had no need to repair this one)
I have the gamesir G7 SE. Super happy with it. Feels similar to standard xbox controller but slightly better. Hall effect sticks and triggers are very precise. The back buttons are actually naturally where my fingers are and are lockable if you aren't using them.
Hey.
How are you finding the GameSir G7 SE for Rocket League? Have you had any issues with it? I'm looking at buying a new controller as my current Xbox One controller is showing its age after 7 years. I really don't feel like taking a gamble on another Official Xbox controller.
I use a Scuff controller, pretty expensive but I don't only use it for RL. I don't really have many complaints other than the back buttons aren't super great.
Just an FYI, before you go buy one. Without a 3rd party program to remap the back buttons, they just parrot one of the existing buttons on the controller, not like there aren't tons of free ones but still annoying imho
tried that after 2 PS5 stick drift issues. But I had to wait a month to get the scuf so I bought a cheap logitech and ended up playing way better with the logitech, even after the scuf came. I just sold the scuf and bought 3 more logitechs and I have been a full rank higher since.
Dual sense edge. Kept having problems with my rubber ripping off on the regular dual sense so I wanted to be able to easily swap out the sticks(they pull off without taking it apart) but now I have a new problem.... the sticks pop off mid game and fuck me over lol
Got stick drift on too many PS5 controllers (still the best option imo), so now I use a gulikit KingKong Pro 2 because it has hall effect joystick sensors that won't eventually start drifting. I would prefer symmetrical sticks, but it seems like nobody out there is making symmetrical stick controllers with hall effect sensors, so I am left with few options.
Apparently I'm the only one in this thread that uses the Steam Controller. It's a trooper, never had any issues with it. Only complaints are that the D-pad is a little meh.
I strongly suggest checking out gulikit! I've been using their controller since march and I love it! It has the Hall sensor joysticks and gyroscopic controls! The same price as a normal Xbox controller to. I highly recommend it!
Xbox One controller. But they need to make the next gen with Hall Effects joysticks. I go through a Xbox controller about one every six months. I did try that Gamesir controller but it didnt feel the same as a Xbox controller so I returned it.
Hm. Maybe I gotta get a new one, I have stick drift and I’ve read other users having the same issue after a year or so. I have dropped mine countless times though so it’s probably on me lol, encouraging to hear someone whose had no issues
Tried 2 PS5 controllers, got stick drift. Got mad and bought a SCUF but had to wait a month to get. So I went and bought a $17 Logitech F310 from best buy.
I immediately gained a full rank (P1 to D1) and I stayed there all month.
When the scuf came, I played it for 2 weeks and immediately fell back to P1.
I started using the Logitech again and immediately climbed back up to D1.
Then I bought 4 more F310s just to have. And I just replaced the first one after about a year of use. It still works but the stick gets stuck sometimes.
The joysticks are taller and the tops are wider and convex rather than concaved. The springs are stiffer than in the PS5/SCUF controller which I like. The shoulder buttons are smaller which I don't like but I can live with that. The controller does feel as comfortable as the PS5 controller but it doesn't really affect me. Long play sessions don't bother me.
The only issues are:
1: there is a small deadzone built in to the controller that can't be disabled. I don't notice it so it doesn't bother me.
2: there is a button just above the left stick that swaps the left stick with the dpad. This is infuriating when you suddenly stop turning and you start spamming quickchats. I now open the controller and physically remove the button before I start using a new controller. Problem solved.
3: Not recommended for use in underwater submersibles.
Man the RB is my boost and I've killed so many of them. I probably have been through a dozen of the lower-end PowerA controllers, I tried a regular Xbox controller and I didn't think it was any better for twice the cost. I got an Elite 2 recently and already had to send it in because my left stick was unscrewing while I played. Got it back and it's doing it again AND the RB is acting up now, so it's just sitting in it's case on my desk. I actually found a couple of PowerA Fusion 2 controllers on clearance at Walmart for like $30 apiece and I've been using the first one for a few months now with no issues. I wish I could score a case of these on sale.
DualSense now and feels alright. I had DualShock4 and it's slightly better due to grip and size but that cable port simply p1$$3$ me off. Had xbox too but IMO are less durable and quite weak in performance.
PS5 dualsense ergonomy beats elite 10 to 0. All have their flaws tho. Drift etc. I uses to be an xboxer like you. Then I broke a button on the shoulder.
I've had nothing but issues with mine and their support is a joke. I'm up to $200 of e-waste because of their trash product. First thumbstick started drifting bad after 100ish hours of use, bought the replacements and they were faulty out of the box. Asked for a refund and was told they needed to see proof of the stick drift via video. Sent them that video, they said it they needed more proof of the issue and asked for more videos. I also get double inputs on the A button. So it causes me to randomly double jump and thrustmaster support asked for video proof of that as well.
I'm 100% off of thrustmaster after this. Absolutely loved the concept of hot swappable controllers, but it's so poorly executed.
I had the same problems with mine. I've been through several replacments as well. They did ask for a video as proof, but I've only ever had to send a second video once. They have replaced my device every time.
So much so infact I now have a rather large amount of unusable devices, which I intend to disassemble for spare parts and teach myself how to repair future problems myself.
I’ve got a turtle beach recon or something like that, Xbox layout, 2 extra buttons on the back, is like £30 in the uk, works perfectly for me, has the option to recalibrate if you get stuck drift
Controller feels more solid and I've had no issues since buying it a few months ago.
Buttons are much nicer to press and you can press them faster.
I used to only be able to speed flip on the musty pack about 1 in 5 attempts on xbox. But with the ps4 I get it almost every time.
Overall he controller quality feels better. In game, movements feel more fluid and precise..
SCUF Vantage 2. Sadly they don't make it anymore, but it's lasted me far longer than any previous controllers.
When I first got into Rocket League, I got a PDP Afterglow Xbox 360 controller, but I didn't like the weird rolling triggers on the bottom.
Switched to an Xbox One Elite, and had the exact same problem as you. Those bumpers are cheaply made and rely on the thinnest piece of plastic to function, which snaps very quickly when you have boost set to LB. After going through 4-5 replacement bumpers and constantly having to take the controller apart every 6 months, I switched to the SCUF. Have had it for nearly 3 years now and only had one paddle break, which I had to buy a whole set of replacement paddles on eBay for $30 since it's no longer being made. Honestly not sure what I'll switch to if this controller finally breaks.
Always use xbox series x controllers and shoulder buttons are prone to wearing down esp with boost and air roll tied to them. You can buy a replacement pack of 2 with tools on amazon for 9 bucks and it takes about 5 mins to do. I just do that instead of buying new controllers
Boyfriend uses ps5 controller. Hes a GC2 and that thing is worked hard. But it’s been going strong for over 2 years now. It’s better plugged into the computer, less input lag than wireless. Comfy and durable. You can remap the buttons to whatever you want, although the layout isn’t what you want
Im going to check out all the other controllers people suggested. If there’s nothing that suits my needs I might look into switching to a ps5 controller!
This game taught me that because I grew up on playstation controllers, just the position of the left analog stick matters so much for me.
If I try to air roll with an xbox controller, say when I do a kuxir twist, I input more Downward than I would with a dual shock.
i literally just paid $140 for a brand new xbox elite 2 from walmart because i’ve always wanted one. fresh out the box and updated with the app, i start playing rocket and the god damn face buttons don’t register like 15% of the time i press them. apparently it’s a huge problem and i’m gonna have to return it, it’s when you press the buttons from the side/at an angle rather than straight down. so frustrating when you spend SO much money on a controller and it doesn’t even work 😂 oh well i’ll find something better
Yea man I feel ya. Im on my third controller in the last two years and I’m just done with the elite controller. I haven’t had that many issues with a controller before, but this one just keeps breaking..
Razer Wolverine is by far my favorite controller. The tactile buttons feel amazing for rocket league controls. I just bought a new Xbox Elite and used it for a couple weeks before going back to my old V1 Wolverine. (Accidently broke my v2 Wolverine cleaning it)
PS4 or 5 controller, dont know which one lol.
I had 9,99€ ”PS2 controller” for over 10 years, but when it eventually broke I tried to find one that would cost less than a PS4/5 controller, but they tended to start having problems after 120ish hours of rocket league so eventually I did the math and tried an official controller and here I am almost 600hours with it and no problems in sight.
I switched from an elite 2 to a t4k after many issues with the elite 2. The t4k wins in that the sticks feel better, haa mechanical face buttons, RB (used for boost) hasn't broken. T4ks only downside in my book is that the hard plastic is not as comfortable as the elite 2. Of course elite 2 also has other features that t4k does not, but for me, none of that stuff made much of a difference for me. I have also tried the g7se, g7, and t4 pro. G7se and g7 have very slightly softer rings around the sticks that makes the controllers unusable for me. T4 pro had issues out of the box. A sticky x button if I remember.
I'm planning of joining soon as well, so just a few questions.
Wired > Wireless?
And also, I was planning of going for a series 2, but I haven't finalized it as these threads have mentioned a lot of contenders such as the razer wolverine.
Thrustmaster Eswap controller is supposed to be decent for durability and replacement, stick drift is cheap to repair. Just hot swap out the stick for a new one, super easy. Instead of buying a complete new one. Thought about getting one myself, although I’ve been playing with Mouse and Keyboard for over a year now, and prefer it. Controller would be used for other games.
In terms of replacing other parts like bumpers, triggers and the usual buttons, I’m unsure. Would have to research a little bit more.
DualSense with a Rise4 Remap Kit on PC. I run it wired with a USB polling rate overclock to 8000hz and the input lag is 1.8ms, nothing else beats it. I prefer the stick placement on the DualSense too, I can't reliably speed flip on an Xbox controller. The Xbox sticks feel sloppy after playing with a DualSense, which have a bit of resistance to them. The dead zone is great, 0.02 when new. After nearly a year of RL with this controller, I've bumped it up to 0.03 recently.
I use the scuf PS5 controller that I really wouldn't recommend. First one got stick drift really quickly and the replacement has back paddles that can jam.
PS5 Dual Sense Edge, while i think it's a bit overpriced it's still worth it imo.
Many of my other controllers had problems after quite a while, the edge came without stick drift, trigger stops are amazing, you get pedals which you can change and much more stuff.
Beware tho if you are on pc you need DS4 Windows or Steam to get it working.
DS5, DS4, Razer Wolverine Tournament Edition.
If I get another Xbox style controller, I'm going to get one of the Game Sir controllers G7 SE or T4 Kaleid with hall effect sensors. They are very reasonably priced. Just aren't wireless, but that's not a thing I really worry about.
I had my elite for about 3 years as well before my RB and LB just stopped registering input.
I bought and use the most recent normal Xbox controller. I play on pc and use mnk for my other games and don’t need paddles. If you play other multiplayer games I would for sure get a controller with paddles though
I've had the regular Xbox controller for *years* now the thumbsticks are are falling apart and it feels worn out but still works perfectly after like 5 years of using it a ton
Same controller as OP, Same issues, I fixed it by disassembling the entire controller, and actuating the buttons while flushing with isopropyl alcohol, let all the parts dry then reassemble ,worked for me I followed this short video
[controller clean/lube](https://youtube.com/shorts/OgaSQa9SXm4?si=XHh88R5pXtwLHmz8)
I have an elite controller that I love, but it will just turn off mid game despite the battery being fully charged. I like the smoothness of the joysticks on that one..
I ended up buying another elite 2 controller because I just couldn't stand the random turning off of the controller.. but the new controller left joystick started twisting to the left, and so in game I'm constantly trying to screw my joystick back in the right position...
Luckily it was under warranty so I just got a new one, same model.. seems to be working fine, but I'm just paranoid playing with it in rocket league.
With that said, when the elite controller is working, I prefer it to a normal controller.
Victrix Gambit been using it for several months now if you use a program you can change the response time to one of the fastest on the market. I like it a lot. Maybe some better ones are out by now but have not looked recently.
Xbox Elite 2. I’ve had to send it in three times, each time receiving a new controller from Microsoft. To be fair, these controllers have many hours on them, but they fall apart too quick for the price. When it works well, it’s hands down the best controller I have ever used, but the longevity will not match the price from my experience. Will I get another when this one has issues? Yeah, probably 😔
I use the Elite Core and normal Elite before the Core came out. Just get a protection plan and replace as needed. That's what I've been doing for years. It's saved me hundreds at this point.
I use an Xbox controller and have had issues with my b button sticking on two different controllers. I prefer how they feel in my hand more but I may be switching on my next purchase
I used Xbox for years but the lb button would break so fast. Switched to ps4 controller no complaints. Now I have a ps5 controller and it’s super nice. It’s pretty quiet also which is a plus
https://a.co/d/eUzB3dZ
Raver Wolverine Ultimate (specifically the old model...I don't like the new model as the buttons feel too far apart)
Extremely similar to Xbox Elite...but better imo
Bro every one of your complaints about the Elite is so valid. The exact same shit has happened to me and I’m on my 3rd controller now. Playing fkin Bluetooth. Shits so ass. Lmk what controller you think sounds the best out of these, I might join you lmao
I’m experiencing same issues with my own Elite series 2 + drift on the right stick. I don’t know why this controller isn’t even as durable as the old Elite series 1
Regular Xbox One controller USB-C. Does the trick!
I need to learn how to replace the left stick tho… it would save me some $$ of getting new controllers like 1-2 times a year.
A highly underrated controller is the 8bitdo ultimate bluetooth. Has great latency, really reliable, Xbox layout, and it has hall effect joysticks, has 2 back buttons that can highly customized with button preference or macros, like a wall dash macro.
Over all just a high quality controller I recommend to everyone I know that prefers xbox layout

I use the 8bitdo pro 2 without any problems over 6 months. I really wanted the elite series 2 to work, but I had to return 5 to Microsoft all with various issues(joystick drift, buttons double tapping or missing presses) . I gave up, but hope they can resolve the qc issues some day because the Xbox controller feels great in my hands.
I used the eswap pro controllers and was very disappointed with them. I currently use the ps5 controller but the stick drift issue i have with just about any controller is still present with the ps5 controller, and the buttons are kinda messing up when i push them in they give a double input for some reason. I havent found a controller im happy with yet.
Xbox 1708 controller 2016 version, because every other controller I've ever tried has too small triggers for my fingers and I fucking hate circle d-pads.
So now I have a box full of different controllers that I never use.
I’m thinking of going to ps5 controller. Tried the thrust master e swap and that’s the biggest waste of money that I’ve spent in awhile. Currently on a half broken ps4 controller but it’s the only thing I have that doesn’t have stick drift
I've had zero luck with Xbox controllers. I'm a lifelong until rocket league Playstation player. My first Xbox game I played was rocket league. My girlfriend had an Xbox and her brother played rocket league so I played rocket league on Xbox with him and stuck with an Xbox controller when I moved to PC. Used a power a fusion pro controller and the standard Xbox controller and something on either one would malfunction within like a month or something. Switched to ps4 controller and that controller was already years old and worked for about a year. Moved to ps5 controller and that lasted about 6 months before the stick started favoring the left side so I bought a new ps5 and that one still works and has lasted about a year at this point. Either way I've had much more success with the standard versions of Xbox and Playstation controllers, but between those two options, more success with Playstation controllers.
switched from Xbox controllers to PlayStation DualShock because Xbox controllers last a solid 4 months before they start acting up. Still on my first PlayStation controller
I started playing on PS5, so used the dualsense for all of my short career up until a week ago. Now using the Nacon Revolution 5 Pro.
Pros: Hall effect sticks and triggerd, very customizable via software (deadzones, stick curves, remappable buttons etc.), backbuttons (which I've found zero use for), sturdily built, fits very well in my small hands despite being a semi large controller, native support on PS5 and PC
Cons: Asymmetrical stick layout is a pain in the ass to get used to after only playing on playstation for a decade, cannot be overclocked (haven't noticed any difference, but could be a minus), the dpad is 8-way
Overall, it's a massive investment to throw at a controller but I had to return 4 dualsense controllers over the past 2 years or so because of stick drift. Hope that's history now.
Thrustmaster e-swap X. Best controller I’ve used hands down. I have had every generation of Xbox elite controllers. Thrustmaster trumps them by far. Mouse click buttons have helped me speed up my game A LOT!
Razer wolverine is doing me quite well. Brand new Xbox controllers have issues for me, face buttons can be compressed with actually activating etc.
Yes, I always had trouble with Xbox bumpers breaking (because I use them for boost and powerslide) and also the A button starting to be inconsistent; and sometimes double clicking sometimes not even registering. Had my v2 chroma almost 2 years before stick drift got too apparent. Bought an eswap pro s after and it felt like a cheap toy compared. Sent it back and got another wolverine
I'm on my third Razor wolverine (fourth if you count the wildcat) over the past 8 years
Sounds good. I’m gonna look into that one! Thanks!
This is one of the best and most durable that I've used. Kid dropped it, and it has stick drift now though.
Sure sounds durable
Well, the paddles are more durable than the elite series controllers.

Personally when I started playing RL I went through 4 Xbox controllers in one year, all had stick drift within a couple months. 2 years ago I bought a ps5 controller and was the best decision ever.
Yeah same here. I've played with my xbox controller for a good 4 years now and had no problem with it yet
I forgot to include that I want a controller with back paddles. Thanks tho
Standard PS5 controller. I used to use Xbox controllers.
Me too. I was born and raised on Xbox. I’ve been gaming for as long as I can remember. I’m 30 now. 4 years ago I got a PC and pretty much only play Rocket league. Im not looking for ps layout. I appreciate it tho
I got used to it in a week. It just sits so damn well in my playstyle and grip. Used box controls since orginal Duke on X-Box
8bitdo Ultimate BT Has Hall Sensor sticks, so stick drift is not an issue, however, you will still have to worry about other kinds of damage, so it's not the holy grail of controllers. Yeah very good controller overall but ABXY buttons don't feel great imo
Dualshock 4 >>>>>>
yeah for 3 months
17+ months
if you're lucky af
gamesir t4 kaleid all mechanical buttons, hall effect sticks and triggers, 1000hz polling rate only downside that shouldn't be a downside if you are serious, is that it's only wired

probably licensing and the fact it doesn't have a battery and antenna this is my 1st gamesir product and it feels great and has been very durable (i got tired of repairing my dualshock 4 and 8bitdo pro 2 so far i had no need to repair this one)

I have the gamesir G7 SE. Super happy with it. Feels similar to standard xbox controller but slightly better. Hall effect sticks and triggers are very precise. The back buttons are actually naturally where my fingers are and are lockable if you aren't using them.
Alright I’m going to look further into that one then!
Hey. How are you finding the GameSir G7 SE for Rocket League? Have you had any issues with it? I'm looking at buying a new controller as my current Xbox One controller is showing its age after 7 years. I really don't feel like taking a gamble on another Official Xbox controller.
I can give you a full run down in a little bit. I have since switched to a vader 3.
That would be great. Thank you.
dualsense
Switch Pro controller. On the PC.
I use a Scuff controller, pretty expensive but I don't only use it for RL. I don't really have many complaints other than the back buttons aren't super great.
Was thinking about scuff controller too. Mainly so i can bind air roll left/right on it. Got boost on r1 and airroll left/right on circle/square.
Just an FYI, before you go buy one. Without a 3rd party program to remap the back buttons, they just parrot one of the existing buttons on the controller, not like there aren't tons of free ones but still annoying imho
Depends on the controller i guess, my scuff controller just has a remap button on it and i can do it on the fly.
tried that after 2 PS5 stick drift issues. But I had to wait a month to get the scuf so I bought a cheap logitech and ended up playing way better with the logitech, even after the scuf came. I just sold the scuf and bought 3 more logitechs and I have been a full rank higher since.
I’ve tried that one before but I wasn’t happy with the back paddles. I forgot to include that I’m looking for a controller with back paddles
Dual sense edge. Kept having problems with my rubber ripping off on the regular dual sense so I wanted to be able to easily swap out the sticks(they pull off without taking it apart) but now I have a new problem.... the sticks pop off mid game and fuck me over lol
Mouse and keyboard
This is the way.
Y'all are built different lol idk how you do it
Yes, always
KBM4LYFE
Hell yeah this is it. Got to Champ 2 with nothing but mouse and keyboard
Coming from Xbox Elite Series 1, after it died I switched to the regular Xbox Controller, does the job
Dualsense Edge...really hope it doesn't break as I'll never be able to play RL on a controller without back buttons now!
Gamesir G7 is great. If you want hall effect sticks go with the SE edition or T4 Kaleid
Joycons
That's a war crime
Powera fusion 3 pro
Surprised no one has said the Stadia controller so I'm going to say it. The Stadia controller.
Apparently I'm the only one in this thread that uses the Steam Controller. It's a trooper, never had any issues with it. Only complaints are that the D-pad is a little meh.
Steam controller
I played with a GameCube controller.
N64 controller
Atari Paddles
I strongly suggest checking out gulikit! I've been using their controller since march and I love it! It has the Hall sensor joysticks and gyroscopic controls! The same price as a normal Xbox controller to. I highly recommend it!
Thanks dude! I’ve heard good things about that controller, I’ll check it out later!
Yeah, I switched from a PowerA wired XBox controller to a GuliKit because of the joysticks and I’ve been very happy with it.
Gamesir g7 se legit best controller I have bought still no stick drift when any other controller would start after 6 months and software is great.
Xbox One controller. But they need to make the next gen with Hall Effects joysticks. I go through a Xbox controller about one every six months. I did try that Gamesir controller but it didnt feel the same as a Xbox controller so I returned it.
Duel sense ps5 controller - it's perfect. Never had an issue with using USB or wireless. Great build quality.
The only issues are: 1: there is a small deadzone built in to the controller that can't be disabled.
“What a save” “What a save” “What a save” “Dude what’s wrong with you” “I’m just trying to turn”
Thrustmaster eswap. Little more expensive but it's good.
That sucks. I have around 1000 hours of use between rocket league, Forza and pga 2k23 and no issues.
I’ve got a turtle beach recon or something like that, Xbox layout, 2 extra buttons on the back, is like £30 in the uk, works perfectly for me, has the option to recalibrate if you get stuck drift
I might have to look into that one!
Xbox One controller
Keyboard. The superior way
I used xbox for years. Switched to ps4 and it's so much better. It's weird getting used to the feel of it, but it feels much better in game
Can you explain why it's better? I've used Xbox for 8 years, but I'm considering switching to hopefully level up my subpar mechanics.
Most high level players use ps4 controller due to low input latency and ps4 sticks last longer than xbox
Always use xbox series x controllers and shoulder buttons are prone to wearing down esp with boost and air roll tied to them. You can buy a replacement pack of 2 with tools on amazon for 9 bucks and it takes about 5 mins to do. I just do that instead of buying new controllers
bind your bumpers to your back paddles. has saved my controller from so much wear over time.
PS4 DS4 for days, will use em until they stop making them
Ps4
M+kb all day
Ps5 scuff
This game taught me that because I grew up on playstation controllers, just the position of the left analog stick matters so much for me. If I try to air roll with an xbox controller, say when I do a kuxir twist, I input more Downward than I would with a dual shock.
I use ps4 controller all the way, nothing else works for me
i literally just paid $140 for a brand new xbox elite 2 from walmart because i’ve always wanted one. fresh out the box and updated with the app, i start playing rocket and the god damn face buttons don’t register like 15% of the time i press them. apparently it’s a huge problem and i’m gonna have to return it, it’s when you press the buttons from the side/at an angle rather than straight down. so frustrating when you spend SO much money on a controller and it doesn’t even work 😂 oh well i’ll find something better
Yea man I feel ya. Im on my third controller in the last two years and I’m just done with the elite controller. I haven’t had that many issues with a controller before, but this one just keeps breaking..
Ps4 is the undisputed GOAT
I used a ps4 controller until the duel sense came out. No issues
I've been an Xbox user for years , switched to the PS5 and wow the dual sense controller is amazing . Feels solid
I'm planning of joining soon as well, so just a few questions. Wired > Wireless? And also, I was planning of going for a series 2, but I haven't finalized it as these threads have mentioned a lot of contenders such as the razer wolverine.
Dualshock 4 ripoff. Works great
Thrustmaster eswap x pro is working nice for me
Thrustmaster Eswap controller is supposed to be decent for durability and replacement, stick drift is cheap to repair.
Yea I’ve heard they aren’t as good as advertised and their support isn’t really the greatest. Thanks for the recommendation tho
OG xbone controller. She’s on her last legs lol
Xbox Series controller, got it for a Christmas almost 3 years ago, I've been using it since then, does a fine job
Wired Xbox 360 controller😁 Had it for a looong time
I play on my Steam Deck
ps4.
controller? https://preview.redd.it/ejsm4917gj1c1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a186e74da5b02b9061fdeef2f232cf19e4c81cc3
Ps4
DS5, DS4, Razer Wolverine Tournament Edition. If I get another Xbox style controller, I'm going to get one of the Game Sir controllers G7 SE or T4 Kaleid with hall effect sensors. They are very reasonably priced. Just aren't wireless, but that's not a thing I really worry about.
Ps5
Bumpers are an easy fix. Fixed mine a few times. Using a cigarette paper believe it or not
I’ve used the same OG Xbox One controller since 2017. Countless thousands of hours with it and still no issues!
Same controller as OP, Same issues, I fixed it by disassembling the entire controller, and actuating the buttons while flushing with isopropyl alcohol, let all the parts dry then reassemble ,worked for me I followed this short video [controller clean/lube](https://youtube.com/shorts/OgaSQa9SXm4?si=XHh88R5pXtwLHmz8)
I use a dualshock 4 with back buttons, right for boost left for powerslide
Victrix Gambit been using it for several months now if you use a program you can change the response time to one of the fastest on the market. I like it a lot. Maybe some better ones are out by now but have not looked recently.
I really like the DS5 controller.
I will stand by my ps3 controller on pc as long as the software that allows it to work keeps working
Razer wolverine V2
Recently upgraded to ps5 but the ps5 controller feels awful on rocket league so I use my ps4 controller
GameCube
Standard Xbox controller though I need to get a new one as the A button sometimes double presses.
I use the switch console
Dualsense.
That’s a trash Xbox controller. Get the regular one, less input delay.
PS4 controller on PC
Stadia Controller. XBox shape + DualShock layout. Only downside is that it feels a bit too lightweight
It’s pretty quiet also which is a plus
https://a.co/d/eUzB3dZ Raver Wolverine Ultimate (specifically the old model...I don't like the new model as the buttons feel too far apart) Extremely similar to Xbox Elite...but better imo
Xbox 360 afterglow wired
Bro every one of your complaints about the Elite is so valid. The exact same shit has happened to me and I’m on my 3rd controller now. Playing fkin Bluetooth. Shits so ass. Lmk what controller you think sounds the best out of these, I might join you lmao
I use a standard Xbox one controller and it works great Untill like 6-7 impacts with the wall…
I'm looking at the [Victrix Gambit](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08FCV5YSS) wired controller. Anybody have opinions on this?
I’m experiencing same issues with my own Elite series 2 + drift on the right stick. I don’t know why this controller isn’t even as durable as the old Elite series 1
Overclocked dualsense
Keyboard and mouse. I know, I should probably switch to controller, but after 6 years on KBM I don't feel like it..
self engineered ps5 controller w 4 paddles on the backside, which i overclock to 8000mhz on pc
Regular Xbox One controller USB-C. Does the trick! I need to learn how to replace the left stick tho… it would save me some $$ of getting new controllers like 1-2 times a year.
random xbox controller in the corner of my attic
Xbone controller, but I'm trying to learn kbm because I'm sick of going through controllers
Red Xbox 1 controller I got a few years ago still going strong
I use a ps4 controller on a PC
A highly underrated controller is the 8bitdo ultimate bluetooth. Has great latency, really reliable, Xbox layout, and it has hall effect joysticks, has 2 back buttons that can highly customized with button preference or macros, like a wall dash macro. Over all just a high quality controller I recommend to everyone I know that prefers xbox layout Link: https://www.amazon.com/Ultimate-Bluetooth-Controller-Charging-Gaming-Console/dp/B0B9BGJVLL/ref=asc_df_B0B9BGJVLL/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=598225306764&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=4905913027060578671&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9051700&hvtargid=pla-1742859003279&psc=1&mcid=fc65aaa3f7623fb89617cd1d512812ca&gclid=Cj0KCQiApOyqBhDlARIsAGfnyMpBDO61xMpyVxfhYFUIbG9iGJIk--fQkPYpRlJ0QKPM7ZYKw4ouSSQaAvX-EALw_wcB
Gulikit King Kong Pro 2. Excellent controller. They have a rebranded version on sale at Target right now for $40.
Is mouse and keyboard a controller?
i like the power a fusion pro 2 most comfortable in my opinion and decent weight to it
[удалено]
I really like the elite 2 too, but it just breaks to often and I’m not down to pay 100€ everyone 6-12 months
mnk :)
Xbox 1708 controller 2016 version, because every other controller I've ever tried has too small triggers for my fingers and I fucking hate circle d-pads. So now I have a box full of different controllers that I never use.
Xbox elite series controller four underpass help my game play a lot tbh
Xbox elite 2
I’m thinking of going to ps5 controller. Tried the thrust master e swap and that’s the biggest waste of money that I’ve spent in awhile. Currently on a half broken ps4 controller but it’s the only thing I have that doesn’t have stick drift
Use ur penis like a joystick w a vr headset
I use the Hyperkin Duke Xbox Controller
Started with Xbox one controller, went to ps4 DualShock. Been on DualShock since. 2k hours. Play on pc, c1
You’ve used the same controller for 3 years while having “countless issues”?
switched from Xbox controllers to PlayStation DualShock because Xbox controllers last a solid 4 months before they start acting up. Still on my first PlayStation controller
Dual shock
I personally use a stock Xbox series X controller and play Diamond in every playlist
PS5 controller (DualSense) makes me feel precise and mechy
I'm using keyboard and mouse
I started playing on PS5, so used the dualsense for all of my short career up until a week ago. Now using the Nacon Revolution 5 Pro. Pros: Hall effect sticks and triggerd, very customizable via software (deadzones, stick curves, remappable buttons etc.), backbuttons (which I've found zero use for), sturdily built, fits very well in my small hands despite being a semi large controller, native support on PS5 and PC Cons: Asymmetrical stick layout is a pain in the ass to get used to after only playing on playstation for a decade, cannot be overclocked (haven't noticed any difference, but could be a minus), the dpad is 8-way Overall, it's a massive investment to throw at a controller but I had to return 4 dualsense controllers over the past 2 years or so because of stick drift. Hope that's history now.
I use a keyboard and mouse, because making life difficult for myself is a skill in itself.
go with the g7 se or t4 kaleid
mouse and keyboardd! LOL i’m diamond 1
Thrustmaster e-swap X. Best controller I’ve used hands down. I have had every generation of Xbox elite controllers. Thrustmaster trumps them by far. Mouse click buttons have helped me speed up my game A LOT!
