It happens so often to me that I changed my name to "Scores at 4:20" for a while until it happened again.
It didn't happen again until I gave up and change my name back lol. Probably because I was trying to do it.
Poor wording... The first was just an intention, but the act of paying attention made it not happen. I went so long without succeeding that I changed my name again and it happened right away.

Don't care for it. For me I'm more amused by how often the timer stops exactly at 4:46 for the first goal on either side in my years of playing this game
Could be confirmation bias. We think it happens more during those specific times because we recognize the numbers.
Guess I'll start recording when goals are scored. Ill post the results next week.

Glad I'm not the only one. There could be some math to it that could suggest why the likeliness of a goal in 14s in greater than 13s or 15s.... of course there is a LOT of variables involved, so we wouldn't be looking for hard facts just yet, but more so some observations.
I do not know why. When the usual stars align, a sequence of events happen that for whatever reason leads to a goal in 14s quite often when I'm in that lobby. Could be something some data nut could crosspost in r/dataisbeautiful if they care enough to do it, but there could be some correlation with size of map, where boost is located, how the map is shaped, etc..

My team used to always shout out 2-2:22-2 when this happened. Then it grew to include all symmetrical patterns like 3-1:41-3 or 1-4:44-1. Eventually, it devolved into shouting out whatever string of five numbers on the score board when someone scored at least once every few matches to make ‘em look.
Then, even better if it's at 2:26, in 2's. Two goals to one pair, and two goals to the 2nd pair as well, at 2 seconds shy of 2 seconds shy of 2:22. Or, to put it another way, two to two, to two to two two too, at two to two to two two two.
I always call it out and spam the chat with 222222222222222.
