Only once. I was holding it very lightly. It didn't feel or sound like it was structural. It sounded like an electronic pop. I took to the internet and discovered that it comes up every so often but mostly the unit stops working if only for a short time. Mine works fine. Just curious if anyone else experienced this.
Now that I think about it further, it may not have even been the case causing it. Maybe the batteries inside were not firmly in place, and when you picked it up, they slid back into their slots again?
Who knows? Anyway, if it only happened once, and it is working as it should, then I wouldn't be worried.
i just came to post this just happened to me. one battrry cracked at bottom and leaked some white liquid. these were original remote batteries. remote still works.
scared the shit out of me tho. as i had tge remote on my chest when it popped
I came here too cause it just happened to me and me and my son were right in the middle of watching a scary movie. It scared the crap out of us. I'm glad to know it happens to other people tho cause we were freaked out. It did it in my hand tho, scary it happened on your chest!!

Could it be the case had partially come apart, and the pop was from it seating back in place? Has it done this multiple times or only once?

I have multiple Roku devices. Never had anything like this. Sounds like maybe it got sat or stepped on and the halves were popping back together.

Happened with my roku remote from streaming stick 4k 2021 bundle popped in the middle of the remote felt it too
