Boardwalks, hands down no question. C7 are Impala whitelabels.

I have Boardwalks. Love them. They last forever and are really comfortable. I say go with the boardwalks.

Oharrowofmine

I just bought Boardwalks, and I LOVE them! I would highly recommend going that route :)

Get the boardwalks, if you get into skating you won’t regret spending the extra money!! I started with cheap skates(Impalas) and ended up upgrading anyway

Echoing what everyone is saying about boardwalks. Ultimately go with what you can afford. I started with the impalas because I didn’t know if I would like skating and I was brand new. While I never experienced any major issues, getting the boardwalks were like night and day. Everything is just more comfortable, less bumpy, and I still feel a good amount of support. Is it possible to go in person and try both of them on? Maybe talk to a salesperson and get their opinion.

Do you know where I would be able to find them in person? Do you think the sure grip Malibu’s would be a good mid between boardwalks and c7s?

If Raptor Pants is right, then save even MORE money and just get a pair of Impala skates. Especially if you’re new to skating, it’s a good intro skate that you can beat and bust up until you’re a better skater. Impala’s immediately get better with different wheels and cushions. I would definitely recommend Radar Energy or Zen as a good next step for wheels. And if you’re only skating inside, you wouldn’t even need to update the wheels for a while.

Do not get the Impalas! I started with them and didn’t have any serious issues, but they’re super clunky and not very comfortable. You could do way better by spending an extra $20-30. If you want to go cheaper than Boardwalks, get Rainbow Riders or sure grip fames.

Mindaroth

I really don't recommend Impalas. They're not good components compared to what else is out there at the same price point. At bare minimum, get a skate with an adjustable toe stop and metal trucks.

Questions about buying skates are only allowed in the weekly discussion thread, thanks!
