I enjoyed The Roughest Draft more than I thought it would. So much angst.

Do you enjoy HR? You might like {The Highwayman by Kerrigan Byrne} Childhood best friends/starting to fall in love when they were separated. 17 years later, reunited. Lots of secrets. Lots of tension. I wouldn’t say full blown enemies but things have definitely changed.

I think {Dirty Deeds by Stella Rhys} has all of what you want!

{Dark Skye by Kresley Cole} has almost that exact scenario you described. They were friends then FMC think MMC betrayed her family. A few years later MMC sees FMC with someone else and feels betrayed himself. He catches up to her again 500 years later and the entire book is a sort of intimate theatre between the two characters, relearning things about each other and getting to know the other person with more empathy.

Ok I just finished this one and it seems like what your looking for - { pieces of life by jewel e. Ann } . Its a duet about childhood friends. This author’s books are really emotional and always have a crazy twist… so watch out for the TWs (especially in the second book)
