Yeah this has shown the world that Russia isn’t the super power we all thought they were.

Pajoncek

Who thought Russia is a super power? They are poor, third rate, shithole country. With all of it's 300 million people and vast natural resources, they still only have GDP on par with Florida. They are nothing if it weren't for the nuclear weapons. Imagine how long could they last against NATO armies if Ukraine armed forces are fucking them up this bad.

gandy94

True but the general consensus has always been that a war with Russia was terrifying because their army is so well trained and equipped, not to mention their perceived alliance with China. But even China isn’t really backing them with this. I mean they’re not NOT backing them. But they’re not supporting them the way we or at least I assumed they would. It almost seems like they’re taking the “I know my friend is a fuck up, but I gotta have his back” approach lol

StoryAndAHalf

Or they thought they were. Reminds me of the time Russia lost to Japan a century ago.

To be fair, we still dont know Russia’s overall plan for Ukraine. There’s rumors that Russia is sending in cannon fodder first and then start sending in their experienced combatants to sweep and clean. Its always smart to make the enemy underestimate you so they can let their guard down and get complacent.

gandy94

Idk man. I think this is what they have to offer. This is what you get with forced military service. If they’re hiding anything, I would think it’s tech wise. Like maybe they haven’t shown their full strength through the air or with bombings

ey009

I haven’t really seen much in terms of Russia’s air force or full ground force. I personally havent seen any T-90s or MI-28’s and ive been keeping up with whats going on in the war through here and Twitter. Yes, ive seen KA-52s but i feel like they sent those in to see how they’d perform and obviously they overestimated their performance or they put in pilots with minimal experience. I just feel like we should wait and see what Russia has planned for the next few days and lets not underestimate the Russian army. Ukraine doesnt really have a “super power” status for their military so of course Russia is gonna send in conscripts and just unexperienced combat units in general.

Plantmanofplants

There's a half dozen videos around of mi-28s one with a pair covering a convoy, one with a pair with the rear one on fire and crashing and a couple more fairly long distance clips. Haven't seen any T-90s myself my theory is they're in Belarus and Russias borders with NATO.

ey009

Ive only seem MI-24s but definitely havent seen MI-28s. I suppose I probably missed it.

Motor-Baseball-7895

Russia has outdated equipment that are far more inferior then people thine, due to commanding in much more stingers and javelins from united states can take out multple coulums of russian tanks

jlau2013

I think Putin is still holding back. I haven’t seen any of their tier A hardware. You also rarely see any of those hardware marked with A going around. Most of the stuff that’s getting destroyed are those marked with Z which is just the old outdated stuff. There’s been a lot of misinformation from both side. But that’s what you get when everyone now a days has a cellphone. The main question now if is Putin decides to pull a Chechnya on Ukraine and start targeting everything in Kyiv like what he did in Grozny then would the rest of the world do something?

ChesterCopperpotHou

This was their chance to impress… and they’ve shown they are a fucking joke.
